Impermanence is probably my favourite trap card. It's a nice versatile and skillful card that can have a massive impact on the game state if used correctly. Its kinda like book of moon from back in the day. And it also helps that it has Cyber Dragon artwork and i love those 😜

By the way, you should do "Why Nobody Plays Divine Serpent Geh" It was a legendary card used in the DM anime by the main antagonist in season 4, and is actually easier to use in real life while having a decent effect, but nobody plays it. Just FYI, I understand more or less why it isn't used competitively (it's also not used in casual strategies from what I have seen, although some casual strategies seem to autolose to it), but I think it is a very unique generic card that I think would be helpful and interesting to go over with all the different things it's got going on. It also makes for a perfect card for the series since it's an iconic card from the show that on paper seems really good with it's real life effects, to some, even broken.

Long ago everyone played Effect Veiler in peace but then everything changed when Called by the Grave was announced.

I was just like "haven't dzeeff uploaded something new" and BAM, you bet he did

Because a lot of the players is used it like Effect Veiler, but with a whole new meaning It's a great meta card and not only it will negate the monster's effects, but of you set this card facedown while their S/T is on the correct column, then that Spell or Trap will be negated as well.

Works in Battle Phase Works in own Turn Not called by The graveable Playable With Demise/Into The Void Searchable With traptrick Not apollousable Columnblocking (after enemy card or in scales) Disadvantage is Maybe MST or Evenly Matched and maybe in Sekkas Light Decks.

I sold my playset for 150 and just played lost wind in my control builds, never missed it honestly. People tend to be able to play through handtraps nowadays and in my combo decks I tend to opt for more combo pieces that get me to my win con rather than shove a bunch of hand traps in my deck I might brick off of and may have a “chance” at stopping my opponent

So I feel the need to mention that you can't use Impermenance to turn off a skill drain since, while skill drain is on the field, you can't negate the effects of any monster since they are already negated.

I might say something that truely means something about how meta works, cards both fall into and out of meta by just being able to counter certain meta cards. Right now orcust is spamming out boards on opponents turns and what you want to do is stop them from doing that.

What if someone thinks they activated impermanence in one column, say the middle column, (but they really activated it in the middle right column) and the opponent activates a spell card in the middle column, so the impermanence player tried to negate it? There are 2 scenarios here. Scenario 1: The opponent also forgot where the impermanence was activated, and thus let's their card be negated for no reason (which would be really lame). Scenario 2: The opponent knew the impermanence wasn't activated there, in which case it's each player's word against the other. What would happen then? (Assuming both players were equally confident they were right)

Quick question. Is it only me, or Infinite Impermanence do not work on Master Duel? Last night I was activating Shiranui Squire's effect, and my opp activate that card. It resolve, but somehow Squire's effect is still working like normal. Any explaination?

It is really good at helping going second decks break boards by negating obnoxious monsters.

I really hope this card gets reprinted for us poor people. It's a one card Veiler and Forbidden Chalice combined. It is also very good to play around some annoying floodgates. The only 'flaw' this card has is that it targets, which does matter sometimes.

Had a copy, gave it to a buddy to keep with brilliant fusion secret rare to use in his competition deck. Still don’t regret it

Positives of Veiler: + Price + Can be normal summoned/set + can be searched in few decks thats it.

Why? 1. It is true hand TRAP 2. Cannot be stopped by CoTG especially at turn 1 3. Better in range of time of activation, you can activate it while you have no cards until your MP1 (if you going second) unlike Effect Veiler or Forbidden Chalice 4. Can stop Naturia Beast during your turn (you can't use Effect Veiler nor Forbidden Chalice albeit you can use GO&SN) 5. Can negate S/T if set at previous turn in same column as an S/T (it can be used to negate floodgate S/T or continuous S/T or S/T activated by negating a monster; literally killing 2 birds with 1 stone) 6. Has Cyber Dragon Infinity in its art 7. Unique name that is a oxymoron (yugioh wikia) 8. Can be searched by Trap Trick or Lilith 9. Can be used as feeder card for negation cards especially if you going second 10. People tends to forget the lingering effect of Impermanence that negate any S/T activated in same column as set Impermanence so it can help duel so much _especially if you set it in the middle_ (except for experienced player) 11. Unlike most real hand Trap like Evenly Matched, if another copy of this card in your hand, it will not be a dead card 12. Triggering Altergeist Multifaker and Paleozoic effect 13. Being a trap, it can blur into your S/T 14. Can only be stopped by Sauravis or Crossout Designator or even in extreme case, Red Reboot in first turn which most likely first-going player will not play this card (except if I'm wrong later) 15. You can still activate it even if Azathot is already summoned (since it cannot stop Trap anyway) 16. Players play it anyway so it is good card (at least, at this time) 17. (if exist, please add)

Probably one of my favorite names for a card. It’s almost an oxymoron but a very sophisticated, high brow oxymoron.

It’s a two for one it can shut down a whole column and be used against spells and traps and monster effects

People would place monsters away from columns where you set a spell or trap sometimes because they're afraid of mekk-knights, better safe than sorry. Also you forgot to mention infinite impermanence can be activated during the battle phase too unlike effect veiler. So it can stop cards like gladiator beasts from tagging out during battle phase.

Was able to grab the dupos for $115 playset in October and it was the best luck I could imagine

Using the Spell/Trap negation effect to turn off Imperial Order for a turn is satisfying.

Whoa, Dzeef Didn't Understood Infinite Impermanence.

I have a question, and even though it's stupid I want to ask if that is allowed: If my Opponent has activated Infinite Imperminance that turn, I used to put a dice at 2 under my hand (so off the field) at the bottom of that column to remind me of that negation effect. Is that allowed or not?

I actually have two of it, is it that valuable to use?

I know it might hurt consistency but if someone uses any card to recycle infinite impermanence right back to there hand/field say trap reclamation for instance I think there is a good chance of a instant win by surrender. With that in mind has there ever been a deck that just wins by doing something so game breaking that no one keeps playing against it and it's main win condition is there opponent throwing in the towel. Also are they stats for what card was the cause of most wins for each format I would find those interesting. Out of 50 games mostly against out dated decks Infinite Impermanence was the main factor in 16 wins while on other card came close to that. Memory of an adversary a mostly over looked and vary outdated card was the MVP in 5 games which surprised everyone that is 10% of total games. For an old slow trap card it made a huge impact mostly because people choose not to negate an effect that caused me to take effect damage equal to there monster's ATK.

I am so glad this card is reprinted in the new structure deck

Is it also worth noting that Impermanence can be activated during any part of the turn while Veiler is MP only? Not a competitive player by any means, just a spectator.

I lost a regional finals during gouki format cause I played soul charge in a column with a set impermanence. It hunts me to this day

Imagine if it would've been a "CyberDark"-trap, it could've been searchable with CyberDark Claw Day 819 without any CyberDark support...

I think musketeers take better advantage of column manipulation but it’s the best generic one forsure

My problem is deciding on infinite impermanence over lost wind when I play backrow decks like traptrix or paleozoic

I literally have lost games because I played spells in my own infinite impermanence column. I love this card and hate it at the same time

The problem of imperm on dweller is they can still chain dweller and dweller will resolve 1st since its chain link 2 which will put the lingering effect on your opponent so it doesn't really stop dweller

I use Forbidden Chalice, as it can also be used during any phase.

I feel like inperm’s rise in popularity is because of the fact that it hard counters apollousa.

I always found curious that this card isn't named something like "cyber impermanence" (due to card art work), it would have been nice that Konami named the card like that and help the cyber dragon archetype

This one is a really confusing one, I think it comes down to people not realizing that they won't survive Deep-Eyes White Dragon's burn effect and thereby thinking they can use Impermanence to stop Deep-Eyes from inheriting Chaos Max's legendary powers 🤔
