monthly reminder that azir used to have a knock up in his e, he could spawn soldiers on towers directly to damage them, and his ultimate used to prevent attempts to pass through the wall.
@@Dracon350 but he doesn't anymore. Unlike Yone they reworked and nerfed him into the ground because pRo PlAy since 0.1 percent matters more than everyone else and Yone is still broken as all hell I still can't fcking believe they nerfed his W. Fck this stupid "balance" model they clearly play favorites otherwise Yone would have already been nerfed
@@mannyvalerio6822 and? the point of past tense is to show that azir was still plenty overloaded, especially for the period of league he was introduced in and that shouldn't devalue my point at all lmao. i'm just pointing out that this isn't riot's first shindig with just shoving everything into a champion's kit. to refresh everyone's memory, by the way, azir was the poster boy of an overloaded kit on his release. this was back in season five, before irelia and akali got reworked, before the release of yone, aphelios, kai'sa, and any of the other bullshit that's been seen since. on release, azir quickly became one of the most hotly contested champions in pro play - he had more than a 50% pick rate and participated in 400+ games in season 5, also seeing 500+ bans during the pro season. this trend continued into season 6 being slightly diminished in that he was only picked 39% of the time, but he still received 400+ bans. riot let him dominate 2 seasons of pro play before nerfing him into the ground during the latter half of season 6/start of season 7. they then buffed him again and ever since season 8 he has been a staple pick in pro play. all that to say that azir's kit still provides too much utility if you can master the champion. yone's short run so far has only seen a season and a half of play compared to azir's 6 and a half and since he isn't influencing pro play as much as azir did, he isn't receiving the same kind of attention he would get if he was the monstrosity that was season 5 azir. *tl;dr:* the point being made wasn't that azir was more overloaded, it was that azir was a monster on release compared to the champions around him then. the games states then and now were very different that trying to compare season 5's game state to season 11's is like apples to oranges.
This is extremely accurate, because 16 queens sound overpowered but then you automatically lose because of no king, and yone players somehow manage to not 1v5 gg ez no re get rekt with that kind of champion kit
@@NoOne-qi4tb I mean his laning phase is very atrocious even with lethal tempo, you need a lot of experience on the champ to know how to survive laning phase and take any free handouts from the enemy team to be able to consistently carry every game
As a fire emblem fan, 30% chance of anything happening is bad, I lost the count of how many times that number ruined both my chapters and, sometimes, entire runs.
I mean, you can't really compare yone to yasuo. After all, yasuo requires some level of mechanical skill to play well and actually has direct counters. With yone there are no direct counters, and even the best matchups against yone like alkali are coin tosses st best.
he is just overloaded in terms of his kit. he has a safe way to trade in terms of his w sheild and e, playmaking and towerdive potential in e and ult, and can get 100 percent crit with 2 items. not to mention the stupid amount of healing he naturally gets from runes and items, and his pushing power with q. overall just a stupid kit
He's really not. He gets shit on in lane by almost every bruiser, and is generally weak early. He just gets hit by the zed effect were ignorant people think he's broken because when he's fed he can kill quickly and has some ok mobility (zed has better mobility)
@@moranii1843 not really man lmao, zed is really only good at killing 1 target, maybe 2. yone has a lot of multi target aoe damage, and he autos for most his dmg too which is way more consistent then zed. and since when does yone get shit on in lane. he runs fleet which lets him stay healthy, and he can all in most champs, plus the seekers nerfs. either your a yone main or i have no idea what you are on about.
@@moranii1843 oh thank God theres only bruisers in midlane, otherwise mages and assassin's might have had a problem. Thank God everyone's playing jax, viego and shen in midlane.
It's interesting how a Yasuo you're up against can be OP and oneshot you, but never feels like he as a champion is overpowered. But every time a Yone shows up and gets strong, it always feels because he is an unfair champion to be up against. Seeing a Yasuo windwall my Nami ult nowadays feels less painful than seeing a Yone dash in and delete everyone before taking off with Ekko's ultimate and flipping my entire team off in the process.
I also experienced this shit the problem is i was playing mordekaiser and i clapped him in top after that the dude started killing my ADC and the funny part is that he started tradh talking all yone players are cocky even if they are trash
@blijemmaiki dotcom fr, i dodged every Q yone used as ahri when he was in his e and i was left with half hp with his autos alone. he was 0/3 because i killed him three times
I was beating a Yone most of lane phase till he got shieldbow lol. Chased me two towers deep and then was upset he didn't kill me. I was like, bro: " how did u not die?"
@@pixelvirus2669 800k , so you played him as your main right from the beginning ? i have on him 146k because he is kinda boring since he does not have that much room for skill expression , since he is basically a better yasuo that does not require skill.
Don't forget he also has a knockup which is a dash, double crit, magic damage autos , percentage health magic damage in a cone that shields, and auto attack reset that crits and deals more damage.
Yone's numbers are insane. Riot should have never given Yone as much stats as he does if he has so much utility in his kit. Either Riot cuts Yone's utility, or his stats. And that's coming from a Yone main lol
@Bouncing Betty yi is created to learn how to play the game Yasuo is created to create a character with high mobility and dammage Yone is created for Yasuo player with 1 hand And Yuumi is created to let my cat play the game (my cat really randomely pressed E on yuumi)
God. Can you believe I actually went to the search bar to look for the Overpowered Abilities video just to realise that it's just an idea you proposed in the video 🤣🤣🤣
@@VarsVerum I personally prefer why everyone plays just because it's nice to see the unbiased reasons why someone is played. if you asked me why people play zed, I'd probably just say that he's an unskilled champ that only requires 1 roam to unlock his carry potential in low elo. but being able to see it from a design perspective and user experience perspective sheds some light on why these champs are played so much (and hated even more)
@@VarsVerum i enjoy both series alot but this specifically cuz it includes champions i play and enjoy playing alot and it’s interesting to see why they’re so attention grabbing
@@giogio7775 I have to agree with you there. Both series are very interesting for separate reasons: the Why No One Plays is good for getting players to play champions that almost no one else does and Why Everyone Plays is useful for understanding why you should keep playing those stacked champs and having a blast.
That would literally make certain champs useless cause they need it for their damage and kit. Ie irelia, Fiora, yasuo, etc especially since there’s already so much cc in game.
@@hanshysher6266 i just love it when the shield i do on my carry is 50% less heal i do is 60% less and speed i give is also reduced thanks to serylda juggernauts no longer have mobility problen their only weakness thanks to stride breaker so yeah why not something anti-dash they even have a fcking point and click dash that increases their damage by 15%
TL;DW: He is insanely broken, super flashy without being difficult like Azir, Yasuo's brother and everybody loves fighting instead of farming cause League players seem to have the patience of a toddler
@Streety what does that have to do with my rank I only stated the facts which make which make him more popular. I sound angry in my comment but I wasn't it's fact people don't farm as much in lower Elo and fight/Die more frequently so a champ who can one shot you from a screen away is really good for soloq. It's also fact that Yone is overtuned right now and more forgiving like an overnerfed champ like Azir.
Yone has a very complete kit, almost no weaknesses, lot of strenghts, hybrid damage, scales very well, low risk & high reward... it's just so disgusting
@@El_chara doesnt matter since he can just get 2 kills mid game and completly dominate off of that, he can be 0/10 in the early game and still end up carrying team fights and comming back late game.
I've never wanted to buy Yas, but you've now convinced me to buy and learn Yone. I'll think of you for my repeated 10 death power spikes that are sure to follow for a while
@@cat-.- 1)no I'm not I only have 20k points on him 2)if u think a champ like yone is broken then he not gonna get out of silver enjoy hardstuck for life.
Why everyone loves yone? Easy to play unlike yasuo, scales well, can still win even if lost lane with an absurd 2item spike, incredibly safe, safest all-in in the game because 1 button press corrects your poorly timed engage, incredibly strong hard cc ult that capitalises on a very common positioning problem literally everywhere up to like masters or high dia that also setups all enemies hit for easiest follow up from your team that even braindead can execute Also looks pretty cool and anims are great, a bit too edgy but still
@@100organicfreshmemes5 yea but the difference between a bad yasuo player and a good yasuo player are significant meanwhile yone players look basically the same
Because he has an ridiculously OP kit There, I just saved you 15 minutes That skill needs a max distance, and he should not be able to cleanse CC when he recalls. Riot has to give us some sort of counter play to it
Why Everyone Plays is like Bricky's So you want to main series. Good plays, good points, easy to understand and you can see so much effort has been put into every video (just the editing alone is amazing)
As a certain karthus support inting main said Your chanpion dont get weaker when you fall behind. The enemy just gets more damage than usual. You can still one shot them. Somrthing like that
Yone being able to E, miss Q3, miss R but still run at you in a straight line weaving autos and Q while taking 0 dmg because of his W shield + lifesteal is for real the worst thing in Yone as a whole.
"Well except for Neeko" WAIT ARE WE GETTING A NEEKO WHY NO ONE PLAYS?!!!! Also if we are I have been waiting for this day ever since I found this series so THANK YOU!!!!!!
@@bulletcola7890 what? Well that sucks. I'm a Neeko main and I wanted her to be featured on the why no one plays. Do you know if someone reuploaded it somewhere?
What a shame! I’d love to see that video. I love Neeko as a character but she definitely has some issues in her kit. There are so many awful matchups for her and I would love to hear other peoples thoughts on it.
wait his W is max health hybrid damage that scales frequently off attack speed? May as well give it true max health damage and make it better with more attack speed
Skill expression...on Yone. Well, I have to admit, I haven't had a laugh like that in a while. Thanks! I woke my wife up because I was laughing so hard, but honestly? Worth.
As a 60% wr +400 games on him I can confirm that it is extremely easy to to carry if you are behind, just R the entire enemy team on a teamfight and free lp
Yone tbh. just needs a change to his E (or whatever skill the Ghost that he returns to is). It needs one of 3 changes. 1. He does not get to chose when he returns to the Ghost. He simply always returns to it after the time is met and cannot trigger it early. 2. He gets a maximum range of how far he can move away from the ghost before it pulls him back. 3. You can attack the ghost as well to put damage on Yone. The first option would make engaging deep into enemy lines more dangerous to him. As now he can't just run in and pull out when it gets dangerous. He either survives until the timer ends or he dies. The second option would make it more fair to get away from Yone. Right now you see him fling himself halfway across the map. With a maximum range he would not get such extreme deep dive potential. The third option would mean he has to use his ghost in a save location or return to it once enemy players get to it.
Will you be covering Zyra? if so can you go over her old kit, I and a lot of people miss some aspects of it, for I it's her old passive and q shape, it felt more rewarding if you knew how to use properly. I get they aimed her for the support role but I feel like she can't mid at all anymore, she occasionally could jungle at times.
I think his E is not True damage in the common sense of this word as it basically multiplies damage he has dealt with his other attacks, which has been already reduced by the armor and magic resistance. Thank you for the video!
Technically speaking you're partially right. The damage type is still true damage regardless of opinion, yet it scaling with the post-mitigation damage dealt over E's duration essencially makes it gameplay-wise into a damage increase.
@@walkerwilson1397 i know but 0hko move are allowed in VGC ? what about double team or even endless combats ? does VGC have no clause (i only play the singles tiers ive never tried VGC but no clauses sounds like a bad idea XD)
@@cyrillaville2367 The only actual rules on VGC ar typically what pokemon you can bring, but clauses like the sleep clause and Okho clause don't exist, but since VGC is a much faster paced format, the meta is different and I don't think clauses are necessary
@@walkerwilson1397 huh thats interresting i didn't know that are there meta strats involving stuff like liliput or mass sleep then ? cause that sounds rly annoying ngl XD
To be honest, i'd reather fight Yone then Yasuo. Since even with an overloaded kit, there is still more ways to actually play around it. No windwall bs, and his mobility is more conditional. And you can potentially dodge his cc dashes. This is coming from an AD carry main who has had far to many bs moments with that windwall
maybe . but ask the ad carry main who was 20/3 and got deleted by a 5/9 yone in 0.9 secs even after yone missed his ult . yasuo's cant do thatwithout hitting ult or being totally dependent on minions
He has an easy to do pattern in what he needs to do. He plays it safe for early lvls until 3, then he does quick trades to lower the enemys hp before finishing it all of around 6 and that E can make Yone a bit more forgiving in other areas despite of his very Diving nature. Not to mention, that he not only feels flashy and satisfying once the player gets really good with him, but he also provides some utility with his ultimate that can be use for either an escape or to initiate a fight. It helps even more that he has a shield with W and mixed damage, making it a bit hard to itemize against him.
Just played a game of Yone for the first time. I usually play burst mages, so it’s a pretty different playstyle. I even had to play against an Annie, but I somehow still went pretty well at the end of the game.
When talking about how he's impossible to itemize against- not only armor doesnt really work, even hp doesnt cause of his W max hp scaling. Also his E has even more outplay potential cause he's unstoppable when going back, so sleeps and a ton of cc thats predictable is negatable if you time his E right. Even more overloaded, and even more player satisfaction and skill impression And ur right I do want to play Yone now lmao
Cannot count how many times I've stomped a Yone in lane who clearly didn't know how to play his champ and then he shows up in river with nothing but boots and gets a triple kill by himself.
Ah Yone... My "favorite" champion to play against! -Infinitely less riskier to take fights due to *not using any secondary resource* (Which in my opinion is still the most bullshit thing in the game for any character) + E to yoink out of there if he looks like he's about to die -Max crit chance at two items plus a fuck ton of lifesteal, forcing you to buy exe / oblivion and potentially hinder your build in the long-term. Sure, people say Kai'Sa is OP and I don't disagree, but atleast she doesn't have the learning curve of Garen (Unlike... This certain champion.).
Yone may be one of my (and many others') most hated champs to play against, but holy shit is he also not one of the most fun, satisfying characters to play at the same time. I don't know if all of League boils down to a zero-sum game but Yone definitely does.
His E is also a cleanse and cc immunity...so his E is a Zed ult and a mini Olaf ult, ridiculous champ but damn smooth to use (I think that statement applies to every champ people hate...except Malzahar, screw Malzahar)
Overpowered or underpowered, I feel like it's very common for people to criticize his E for being stupid when it's probably one of the most interesting and, dare I say- well designed abilities they've released in a while.
