This video took a lot of work so I hope you guys like it! Let me know your thoughts! I explained my side of the argument and I'd love to hear yours! Do you agree or disagree?
FFH is a good movie, but for me it is still held down by the problems of being in the mcu, in that it's not allowed to be a purely Spider-Man movie, and the character motivations still tie too tightly to iron man
I think Spider-Man 2 is still my favourite live action Spider-Man film but Far From Home was phenomenal and Tom Holland is my personal favourite live action Spider-man/Peter Parker
The Tobey Maguire films were how I was first introduced to Spider-Man and I've always loved and cherished those films but I do respect the MCU version of Spider-Man as well.
2017:Why Homecoming is the best Spider-Man Movie 2019:Why Far From Home is the best Spider-Man Movie 2021:Why Spider-Man 3 is the best Spider-Man Movie
The plot twist when Mysterio reveals that he's actually tricking everyone made me think I was dreaming but then I remember that Mysterio is a villan in the comics and his whole idea is desception and illusion, so I should of predicted it but they did a good job making me think it was all real
5:22 Tony meant "better" as in more responsible which Tony wasn't while growing up. As Happy said to Peter "you're not gonna be Iron Man, you're never gonna be Iron Man, nobody can live up to Tony". Spider Man is its own character.
@@youcanrestnow5066 That's what I said, Tony was kind of a douche growing up. So obviously he would want Peter to be better and use his powers responsibly.
Dwagon i forgot he died lol when Wanda attacked him my dad was like “remember he killed her boyfriend” I was like “hmmm” and had no idea what he meant until i watched age of ultron and remembered lol
Rilaway did you know that Tobey Maguire is known to be one of the biggest dickheads in Hollywood? Look up Tobey and Molly’s game and you’ll see what I mean. I agree with you on the rest tho especially abouttt Chris Evans.
bloo Red true all are amazing, I just mean acting as close to the original character as possible, RDJ, Tom Holland, and Chris Evans do the best at it. But all are amazing top tier actors and actresses
Michael Slenderman spiderman was co created by stan lee who actually thinks mcu is the best spiderman. Early spiderman comics are not dark like how everything become in the 90's.
After watching Spider-Man: Far From Home again, I doubt Mysterio is dead & most likely an illusion. MCU has something of a reputation for fake deaths, & in Mysterio's case he's the master of illusion. The script attempts to encourage viewers it's real, with Spider-Man asking EDITH if he's is really dead. EDITH assures him that it's not an illusion. Mysterio has a lot of experience with Stark tech as he's been working with Stark Industries drones for years & has a good idea what they're capable of & had time to experiment with EDITH's drones as well. Mysterio is very familiar with the advanced sensor suite EDITH has access to & it's not unlikely that he figured out how to fool this tech. Even EDITH isn't a reliable witness & it's entirely possible Mysterio faked his death. In the mid-credits scene of Mysterio giving Spider-Man's identity to the public could be the first step of his plan, which would surely see him "resurrected" to the delight of an adoring public. Besides, MCU clearly has a *SINISTER SIX* idea in mind as they had Vulture meeting Scorpion at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
We will. When asked about The Sinister Six, Spider-Man Director Jon Watts replied, _“I figured out a way to get Hydro-Man, Molten Man, and even Sandman into the movie.”_ Meaning Mysterio should be back with Vulture & Scorpion as The Sinister Six.
Edith never even said he was dead though, just that he wasn't fake. Which is objectively true since Peter physically caught his arm and took back the glasses. Had he outright asked if Beck, then I could see a point being made there. Ultimately though, I agree there's a good chance Beck's still alive.
MARKY MARC I have this theory that the next spiderman movie (Which im calling Spider-man: Homeless, just for the sake of home being in the title) is going to start with Scorpion getting out of jail and learning Peter’s identity. In homecoming post-credits scene we see him asking Vulture about Spiderman, as if he had faced the hero before. It is posible that Scorpion was the first villian Peter put on jail as Spiderman (before CW), even I dare to say he could have something to do with Uncle Ben’s death. So Scorpion would want to go after Peter and his loved one, and at some point joining forces with Mysterio when he reveals he is still alive.
The fact that you grew up around reading and writing is extremely apparent honestly, clearly a very smart chap, one of the very few people who can make videos that i rewatch constantly. Keep up the great work!
mysterio is a fresh breath of air compared to most of the mcu villains and i enjoyed his scenes so much. this got me thinking why i love him so much and i finally figured it out. it's because he's not just a villain, he's a Super Villain. what's the difference, you may ask? *PRESENTATION*
What if everyone is expecting a play on home cuz of homecoming and far from home, but what if they did a play on far from and called it far from over and set up for even more solo films for Tom Holland, I mean I like the high school years of spider man but I want to see him in college and as an adult too, I think far from over would be a cool title, if Sony plays nice and Tom gets to renew his contract with marvel
@@jeremydraper733 This would be a good idea but the consistency in the titles isn't the 'far from'...it's the 'home'. Marvel is using 'home' in the title of Spidey films so much because they have finally gotten him back. They could still do the hole 'growing older thing' even with the play on 'home'. Plus I feel the hole 'Home Invasion' title is a nice nod to the hole plot with the Skrulls as we're now realising just how big a part they're playing.
Tangy Tacco I just feel like they’ll eventually do secret invasion so I feel like it’d be weird to have a home invasion and secret invasion, which the secret invasion is just speculation but so is the other titles we’ve come up with, and I get the whole Spider-Man’s “home” at marvel but like I said everyone would be expecting a play on the home in the title so I just feel like it’d be a nice subversion to what people might suspect while still having a play on the previous title, cuz when they announced that it would be far from home I was like, so every titles gonna have to have home in it? Which I honestly don’t care for, but like I said far from over would still be a play on the previous title but everyone would expect something about home, plus with the whole skrull thing you can say the far from over not only has to do with Spider-Man continuing his story but the skrull story line would also be far from over, like I said tho it’s just fun speculation, I just think it would be cool given that fact that everyone would be expecting something to do with home I feel like homecoming - far from home - far from over, has a nicer flow to it, the titles still play off of each other but I feel like having home in each title is kinda dumb, just my opinion tho, thanks for not being an asshole cuz I had a different opinion, most people would say I’m stupid just cuz they disagree.
Tangy Tacco right on I don’t want to start arguments on here I just wanna hear opinions and share mine, I’d rather hear an opinion I disagree with that someone just telling me mine sucks, good on ya👍
ale Senatore he already did a video ranting on Far From Home because it’s not like the Raimi films. He said he isn’t gonna touch the MCU Spider-Man series again. Quite an overreaction for a still-developing character and series...
I really wish all the spidey fans could respect others opinions, Tobey maguire movies would hold a special place in my heart, but having something different like Tom hollands spiderman is amazing, especially what they did with mysterio
Man the fights with Mysterio were genius, you know how nostalgic it was watching a fight I played in the video games and watched in other media's? Perfect
Thank you so much for making a video that relates to my love for movies and analyzing them! This video has encouraged me to look at the background of my favourite movies! THANK YOU 👏🏻🖖🏼🤩
Can I just say you are amazing at explaining and breaking down of movies. I love marvel and once I found your channel I was so happy that I did cause I had gotten confused but I thank you for explaining. You are truely amazing and congrats on graduating 🥳
Congrtaz on graduation (I don't know if you mentioned it before lol)! I love this video and home much work you put on it (and I love Tom Halin is amazing).
I also love how they made him so relatable! Tom holland plays a really good spiderman! He is soo funny. Another reason i think its interesting how in all the spiderman movies they show how they got bit except Tom! The movie is soo good
Total professional! Excellent job! I totally agree.....I really, really loved this movie and I'm definitely going to go watch it again but you have to watch this in 4D. Keep up the excellent work kid!!! I'll be watching all your reviews from now on!
I 100% Agee with everything you said! It's so nice to see some love for MCU Spidey since over the last few months, Rami fanboys have been really salty towards everything to do with MCU Spidey (my favourite version)
Jack Deegan you gadamn right I don't understand why poeple Just like bouth of raimi and MCU films (I prefere MCU version but I like raimi too😊) and I don't know why certain raimi fans and MCU fans Just insulte the other JUST WATCH ALL SPIDEY MOVIE AND SMILE😁😁😁
Ah, so you and Tom Holland are a little older than me. I like Tom Holland as Spider Man/Peter Parker, though I will always respect Tobey's interpretation and movies.
@@adalynnshorrorworld2242 MCU fanboys and fangirls normal?!?! Wtf? I never thought you would be able to match all those words in a sentence lmao Hahaha fuck off fucking death to all the MCU fanboys and fangirls hopefully you all will die in the next massive shooting I pray for it to happen at marvel studios
Finally someone whi agrees this is better than spider man 2 i hear alot tobey fans saying that "NO SPIDERMAN 2 IS THE BEST SPIDERMAN"But you you say this is better than it si thank you for being honest
While i did enjoy both Homecoming and Far From Home a lot (a lot a lot, actually, as i did with all of Holland's appearances as Spidey so far), i have to disagree on something. For me, personally, this close connection to Tony Stark is what keeps Holland's Spidey from true greatness. In the comics, Peter allmost allways had to rely on his own wits, ingenuity and creativity. This self-reliance is, for me, a big part of the character. In the MCU, Spidey gets his first really amazing (see what i did there ?) suit from Tony as a hand-me-down (well, not an actual hand-me-down, but you know ...) AND when he fudges up in Homecoming, Tony just swoops in to save the day (and Spidey himself). Twice. Then there's his whole wish to immediately become an Avenger, because he finds being the Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man to be beneath him. That just ... feels wrong. Peter LOVES New York. That's where his heart's at, that's where he feels he needs to be. Not begrudgingly or as a stepping stone, but because he wants to and because he loves it. And yeah, i know, he ends up there at the end of Homecoming, but still ... And then there's his secret identity ... phew. The big reveal at the end of Far From Home is fine for me, because it sets up further storylines. I dig that. But i HATED the fact that when Homecoming ended, four people allready new Spidey's true identity: The Vulture (a villain, which is even worse), Ned, Tony and Aunt May. And while i do realize that the whole secret identity shtick is basically non-existent in the "I AM Iron Man"-MCU, again, i feel that's a big part of Spider-Man. Keeping his identity secret to protect those close to him, going so far that he's willing to seem like someone who doesn't care for thoe closest to him, because he tries to keep them safe at all costs, even if it means seemingly pushing them away. The MCU does, however, get the whole "With great responsibility"-thing right. And Far Frome Home really nailed that.
Agreed, while although some thing I would change about mcu spidey, the main core reasons of him becoming spiderman while also adding these new things to his personality is great! I really love the trilogy and tasm, but mcu spidey is my favorite.
Well, you definitely explained why Far From Home is a great movie and why Tom Holland is the best spider man, I agree. But you didn’t provide any reasonable arguments for why this movie is the best live action spidey movie. Why exactly it is better than Spider man 2, for instance? You totally disregarded superior cinematography, great character development, deeper character arcs, soundtrack and writing as a whole in Spider man 2. You just picked some parts form the movie, that were better in Far From Home in your opinion and concluded that Holland’s movie is overall better for some reason.
Honestly dude, I feel the exact same way. I don’t like spiderman 2 more than spiderverse but I know it is better. Far from home if you really think about it is just somewhat pretty average. There isn’t really much that stands out.
Spiderverse was very different in many levels and can be on par with the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies. They both were the best in representing the essence of Spider-man in their respective movies. Yeah, I am agree that his video is kind of one-sided and quite biased to MCU Spider-Man.
This man straight-up made arbitrary reasons for why he thinks the reveal of Spider-Man to his loved one is superior in FFH and why it's inferior in SM 2.
I think the only people who like the first trilogy more than this are usually older guys in their mid-30s. Honestly i think it’s just nostalgia. I do like the first two incarnations but this is simply the best and it would be a waste of a character to not have Spiderman in the MCU. The MCU is so impressive in scale and quality. On top of all this Tom Holland is very gifted and perfect for the role!
I hate how Peter in infinity war says he can’t be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man but then in this movie he’s told that the elementals have destroyed a previous earth but yet he’s basically like “good luck not my problem”
The way Tom Holland portrays both Spider-Man and Peter Parker is how i imagined him in my head for years. Even his physique and facial features. Everything just clicks! He really feels like one of your friends. I always felt distant from Tobey and Andrew....i couldn't really relate to both of them.
i haven't been really interested about avengers movies... until this year. i went to see endgame and i loved it. far from home was even better, i love tom holland :3
The one thing I love about FFH was how it was a exact opposite to Homecoming. In homecoming, Peter was ready toss away his normal life to join the Avengers. Meanwhile in FFH he wants to have a break from the super stuff.
I loved the Meta-ness of Mysterio, in the trailer it seemed like he came from another earth. Lots of us believed that he really was, even before the movie he was deceiving all of us
actually Movie Flame im sry to correct u bc i’m a big fan but the first time we see Spideys Spider sense was in civil war bc in the fight with Flacon and winter soldier Peter at one point said “Oh God!” indicating he knew something was happening so he quickly looked back and saw Bucky throw something at him it was very hard to notice so i’m not surprised u missed tbh i didn’t even notice it until another movie reviewer noticed it and pointed it out
I think Sony and marvel will probably stay friends especially seeing how much more popular and love the mcu version of peter/spidey and I also think Tom with do what rdj did since he seems to love his character and fans also love him at peter aswell. I also agree with literally everything you pointed out here, Tom Bring what peter Parker and spider-man are, they are one and he really showed that these characters are one in the same and plus Tom is literally a real life Peter Parker 😂
Spider-man needs to have more than the usual trilogy. He has one of the more fleshed out story lines and certainly the best rogue collection in Marvel (at least considering he is only one single character, not thinking about teams like X-men and F4). There's still much to be told, we haven't even seen his most important enemies (Doc Oc, Green Goblin/Norman Osborne, Venom), the sinister six formation. And while Homecoming showed his agility and strength, Far from home his use of the spider sense, we actually haven't seen a great use of his intellect which is a big part of his character (especially when we take into account how much of the technology he uses wasn't even developed by him). For all its bad things, Andrew Garfield movies were the ones that showed ingenuity the best and I would love to see more of that on Tom Holland's movies even before he needs to face his biggest challenges (the enemies I mentioned earlier and Sinister Six). I can imagine they will use Kraven (although I feel like that is a character that will require more spider sense than anything) since he hasn't been used yet or maybe they will somehow use Scorpion (which was already introduced) and that would be a good way to show him outsmarting an enemy
You know I really feel like the MCU has forgotten about quicksilver. In the tribute scene at the beginning of the Movie I really thought that they would include him but boi was I wrong
The best part of Far From Home is how they represent Peter and Mj's relationship also Ned and Betty's. Their romance was more relateable and realistic. Because in high school there are relationships where you could be so awkward at first and then there are couples who falls in love after a day, be all lovey dovey in a week then just break up. And can we please talk about how great Mj and Ned was represented?
He Toby movies are my favorite spider man movies because they are comic book movies same as the fantastic four movies which I also loved. The amazing spider man movies had some pretty cool visuals and the suit was amazing ( no pun intended) and the mcu movies had awesome suits and good villains
One thing though, Peter Parker being a high-schooler in the comics was not as big as you said. He graduated high-school in issue 28, out of almost 900 issues. Most of his run is as a college/young adult. The high school aspect is not synonymous with Peter Parker
I agree with most things you said. I just adored this movie, it was the perfect summer blockbuster: fast-paced, fun, but also heartwrenching when needed. It was overall a delightful viewing experience. I have a soft spot for teen comedies and I love about the MCU Spider-Man films that they are so unashamed about being genre films first and foremost and blending the superhero stuff with that teen comedy aesthetics perfectly. I especially liked how this movie handled MJ's character. I already liked her in Homecoming, and honestly kind of hoped the bridge scene will happen in the second movie in a similar fashion. Also, I really appreciate how down-to-earth her character is about the whole superhero business. I just really enjoy the idea of having a love interest who also plays a crucial role in helping Peter on his quests. The PS4 game did this very well and I have my hopes up for the third film as well to give MJ some quality time in the limelight as Peter's intellectual equal.
@@Erika-fo2ef let the guy have opinions if anything while your calling this guy a tom fan boy u sound like a Raimi fanboy and dont pull that card on me because I think every version of spidey is great
@@Erika-fo2ef a real spiderman movie can be any spiderman movie to be honest, just because what you think is ideal, doesn't really mean its the "real deal spiderman" each movie has their own narratives and different universes in which each spiderman operates in, I love all three, but I feel like Tom is the best, just my opinion, no disrespect to tobey nor andrew
You put so much work into this video. Great job! You perfectly explained why FFH is my favorite Spidey film and why Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man 🙌🏻
I loved when he was making his suit and looked like Stark. Also anyone else notice in Prague he ran to Mysterious saying Mr.Beck like how he says Mr.Stark?
