Moment do you guys make the moment cases for the iphone 6 plus and lens for the 6 plus browsed you guys website in couldnt find a thing.really becoming a fan of this mobile photography .dope vid! Btw🤙🏿
This will help me in an upcoming article for a publication I have qued to do very soon. And I need those filter and a couple of lenses in my LIFE! For now I put my savings into getting a Gimbal, but as expected, Gimbals are not for Run-and-gun style event video makings that I do and I will have to find quicker DIY solution to stabilize my handset.
Thank you guys so much. I always had the app, and been watching and following you guys for years now. I love the companies concept and I do plan to buy some of your lenses and now filters. Thanks so much.
hi moment team, i sent an email to you many week ago about the advise for use filter, but no response. SO i will ask again in here 1) have Moment don't sell GND filter ? it's not better than ND 3/6 stop ? 2) what kind of filter i need when i want to take direct the sun without lose the color of the sunlight ?
Amine Touil hey man they’re great u know but you know for someone from a country in the Caribbean it’s expensive I wanted to support moment and stuff by getting the full gear like the Movi cinema robot and lens that’s gonna run me like 2500$ in my currency... Trying to get into filmmaking it expensive bro
@@bestofsvg1027 just grab the case and the moment wide angle with the cap strap accessory to get started. From the products I own of Moment I'd say the items I mentioned are the best and most crucial to getting started with a noticeable difference; plus the app of course. Good luck man
@@dotinsideacircleIt's not needed digitally. Shooting digitally and with film is completely different. UV light doesn't affect sensor in digital cameras. Film doesn't block UV light so a UV filter is necessary.
So I’m a big fan and user of the superfish lens and recently bought the Hoya 62mm col filter with the lens mount and still get major vignetting even when the lens is touching the inner glass of the filter. Is there anyway if eliminating it without having to crop the picture?
Digital sensors don't pick up UV light. UV filters don't do anything for digital cameras except the mechanical protection (and maybe some reflection suppresion if the main lens AR coating is really crappy).
@Moment how many filters can you stack on an anamorphic lens before the corners begin to darken as mentioned at 5:37? Will this happen if you combine an ND filter with a CPL on anamorphic too? Thanks! :)
Not sure if I missed you saying this or not, but am I to understand that the same fillers you use & show here can also be used on a DSLR? sorry if its dumb Q
Ey guys! I got a question for the CPL filter...you have said that it’s really usefull for car photography but do you think it would work for glass/plastic facade buildings ? Thank you so much ! I really love your job ! 💪🏽💪🏽 best wishes from Spain
That's what i noticed too, and i think they purposedly shrunk the video size 3:30 coming out of the phone to make it look crisp, then back to dslr when filming themeselves. maybe there's a video quality degradation stacking lenses and filters🤔
Great video! Perfect timing for this video on filters for me. I’d love to see you guys put together some kits with lenses and filters as starter kits and add on kits.
Cool explanation on the filters! I thought you guys would also mention the effect the polarizer has on the shades of blue of the sky, but no... depending on your position in relation to the sun, you can get nearly black gradient sky because of the CPL.
@@bobbooms5926 I wouldn't recommend it as there is tapered slots for it to fit as the wide lense has kind of a hood built into the rim. The mount has little slits where it holds that part in the mount
Great video guys, pretty easy to understand for those new to filters in general and a good refresher for others. Are the CPLs you sell stackable with the ND filters just as the NDs are stackable with each other? Thanks!
Ekene Uchenwa Oh I’m certain it could, but I don’t have an iPhone X. I still rock an iPhone 7plus. I still do have ambitions of buying an actual camera.
Most professional photographers don't use a UV filter because they don't serve a photographic purpose. UV light is an issue with film but not digital. Digital sensors have no problem processing UV light. Any mishap likely to damage your filter will likely also damage your lens and if your filter is damaged, they become a real PITA to remove.
I know your guys video is great but one thing! I was watching your video for the updates to the moment app ( iOS for video) and I just want to say I am glad you guys are working on it for android, and I know you will make it as high quality as possible! This comment is from someone who likes to make videos and is a future galaxy S10 owner. Can't wait for that new moment case! 😁👍🏻
Ahha the UV filter... I don’t see the difference here. The ND one is interesting but I’m just going to Tibet to take photos and not pretending that I’m some celebrity or a filmmaker. I’ll just look at the Wide lens.
Going on a European cruise in a few weeks. I have my Moment lens set to bring, as well as a variable ND/CPL. Just curious is keeping the filter and 18mm on full-time would be recommended for city videos/photos while there. What would be the scenarios (other than night time) that it might not be a good idea?
Is it Shiesty/petty or good business to have a competitors ND filter lens advertised on your video when your promoting ND lenses? 🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂😂 #Awkward okay #Moment (first love lol) vs #Sandmarc (no comment)
Outside the CPL that obviously blocked glares, I don't see any difference in with or without ND filters, motion blur my ass, and UV filters? nigguh, If you don't already.
If I could only get 2 filters what ND# should I get? for Samsung Galaxy S8 with 1.33 anamorphic lens >_>. I would like to at least set my shutter speed to 1/48.
Hello, a question. I take photos and videos indoors. I use the iPhone 14 pro. Do you think I could use some kind of filter for this kind of work? Thank you very much
based on the comments below. i guarantee none of these iditols commented below owns any moment lenses or filters ....i own all of the lenses and all of the filters, 3stop, 5 stop, CPL. and they vignette like crazy ....also the anamorphic lens only works with the phone up right ....LMAO ...i mean if you gonna pay people to comment. DM me. i would love to get paid and say some nice things
Why would you make the image 60% smaller on a test? Makes no sense whatsoever. If I’m going to buy a product I’d like to see it full screen. Or does the quality not hold up????
Moment i just bought wide 18mm from your website. For 77 mm nvd filter 62mm mount is necessary which is not available on your website. Only 67mm mount is available
Is just a horror to find the best setting and filter. Imy IPhone XS Max with lens and filter adapter and filter weighs 360 grams, so a good smartphone gimbal is limited, every angle is not possible. 24 frames with 48 shutter and variable Nd don’t work either, because it’s still overexposed, when I change my frame rate to 50 and the shutter to 100 it’s fine but in filmic pro you can’t use flat profiles over 30 fps, and the inception mode with the weight is impossible too....
I want to get a variable ND filer for my 11 pro max but I ma confused with WHAT I need to get. I will be using on a moment 18mm. Form you store then what exactly do I need to get?? Pls help. *I live in Sunny Spain so will do a lot of videos outside*
Why did the fond video's in white?😢, in my opinion it altered the way we perceive images and details.. black would have been better... Video was really great so I guess it doesn't count?😂
Stephen D'Andrea no need! All the HOYA ND filters are polarizing, so you get the same effect of glare reduction, like where she pointed it into the water.
hello.always really enjoy yr video.i really worry buy to iphone case and filter.but i think very difficult buy to its.because, i use iphone 11.what mount have to buy.. i wanna nd and cinebloom.love family.
What filter is needed (if any) when recording a marching band during halftime on an outdoor football field with stadium lights? It is usually dark outside during halftime, but the stadium lights light up the field.
the lens is ok... but the phone cases are garbage, especially the lens mount tabs which are pathetically weak... And, they lie. The won't honor their warranty and don't make any attempts to fix things that are wrong.
I take tattoo photos and I am looking for a filter for my phone that would work to cut the glare. I have used a scrim in the past but there is still a glare on the skin...what type of filter should I use? would an ND filter or CPL filter work?
Looks great but would it show up on time if I ordered it? My last order didn't (even though the website sad it would) and I had to cancel it to go find a substitute. I do like the products but to paraphrase George Patton a good product in time for my travel shoot is better than a great product afterward.
I am getting a 77mm nd filter and I know you don't sell the adapter ring for that size on moment, can you give me a suggestion on how to find the right one that would work with my iPhone 11 pro max and moment case?
i’m no photographer AT ALL but i just like to take pics and document life. the reason why i’m obsessed with your products is because u guys find a way to make it easier for non photographers like me. i truly appreciate it. also, i’m about to buy the 58mm and a xmax phone case for my new phone. any coupon codes? lol. ok that totally just sounded i’m complimenting u guys because for the coupon code but for real. i’m obsessed. i have the wide n 60mm tele. pls help lol
There are companies in Asia sell high quality lens, 10 different kind for only 30$. Just shop Asia and save. Moments software is the best app. The only app provide film texture in the final results and for cheap. I did try the Filmic Pro but to my disatisfaction - too contrasty, harsh final result and there is no way to soften it due to captured from the start by the app. As for the Moments, FLAT should be use if the subject has shadowy like sunny or studio harsh light. Log should be use if the subject has little or not shadow, overcast day, shady or soft studio light. Filmic Pro may have many features to play around but will not surpass Moments Flat and Log. I don't know about true log in Filmic Pro because my test doesn't show it superior than Moments. There are pro users video of both apps floating online. Just compare it for yourself.
Thanks - I love CPL filters and use them for still photography - on cameras! I don't think I'd bother with my iPhone and Moment lenses as I rarely use that combination for serious still photography (not a criticism) and for video if one pans the polarizing effect would change in mid-shot. BTW I will be purchasing the anamorphic.
