Steve Carrell had almost no scripted lines. He pretty much just came on a made shit up on the spot. The blooper real is like an extra 2 hours of movie. Honestly. . .its kind of amazing lol

Random actress is Christina Applegate. Aka Kelly Bundy from "Married with Children". She survived breast cancer and become a spokes person for MS in recent years after she was diagnosed.

19:12 idk if anyone else noticed the sign in the Mexican restaurant, but that sign says "Escupimos en su Alimento" which means that the restaurant is named "We spit in your food" in Spanish and everyone is eating there without the slightest clue on what the restaurant's name means 💀💀💀💀

If you like silly comedies like this then you'll probably enjoy Dodgeball! It's just as funny in my opinion.

I remember the first time I watched this movie the bit where Steve Carrell says the line "Think about what your asking, man!" gibberish caught me off so hard I laughed for a solid 10 minutes, great video, looking forward to more in 2024.

Ironically, Adam McKay (the director for Anchorman) later cast Steve Carell as Donald Rumsfeld (one of the top advisors in the Bush administration) in VICE, a biopic of former vice president Dick Cheney. Part of me will always believe that the casting choice was heavily influenced by the joke about Brick working for the Bush administration at the end of this movie.

Anchorman 2? Yes please. A seriously absurd sequel and worth the watch. Thx Ange!

Talladega Nights is a spiritual successor to this movie, only it's about Nascar drivers instead of news anchors. Will Ferrel said he wanted to make a trilogy about jobs in America that make people celebrities, but I guess he gave up on the third one and just made Anchorman 2

There were a group of actors way back innnn I want to say the 50s and 60s dubbed the rat pack. Everyone called these guys the frat pack, Will Ferrell, Luke and Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, John C Rielly, Jack black, Steve carell, Vince Vaughn.

I got in trouble when Jack Black punted Baxter because the girl I was seeing it with had lost her dog a few months before and I started laughing historically because I could tell it was a stuffed dog.

Where did this version of Anchorman come from? I can't believe that they cut out the translation captions of Baxter's barks. He always has something to say.

For some reason this was missing the subtitles but Baxter was actually having a conversation with the Bears in the zoo, convincing them to spare Ron and his friends

If you watch the sequel, you HAVE to watch the bloopers. I personally think Anchorman 2 has the best bloopers ever put on film, it's amazing the movie even got completed.

I don’t know much about the larger brown bears that are in this movie, but I live on the top of a mountain in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains and we have tons of black bears. 9 times out of ten they are more afraid of you and not aggressive at all. The only times you have to worry is if it is a mother with cubs or if it has been a really dry year with little vegetation and they are starving. Just last year I had to scare a young one out of our chicken coop. The poor thing didn’t get how the fence worked and kept running into it trying to get out. They can cause property damage and run off with your trash cans but other then that you don’t really have to worry about them.

The sequel is pretty decent too, you'll probably enjoy it.

Welcome to Marwen is my favourite Steve Carrel movie, which is both touching, and humorous (and based on a true story). Definitely a recommended movie with him in if you happen to get the chance.

Growing up as a teen Kelly Bundy was very exiting, but Veronica Corningstone is my very favourite Applegate performance.

I saw a bear in the wild once. We were in northern Ontario staying at a lake house and took a drive to locate a different lake. This was with the In-laws, wife, kids, and nieces/nephew. We stopped cause we saw berries and we got out to pick some until a black bear showed up and everyone ran back to the truck. Scary in the moment and incredibly stupid on our part but it's a good memory.

There's two sequels! Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is the one everyone sees, but there was actually a second movie released concurrently with the original film's DVD release! It's called Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie, and it was created using alternate takes of the original film, along with the original news story subplot of a terrorist group robbing banks. This plot was cut out and replaced with Ling Ling the panda. Obviously, since it's made from alternate dialogue takes, the first half of the story if pretty much the same plot, but some new narration has it take place after the first film. Worth a watch, if only because I can't think of another time something like this has been done!

There are more than 2 Anchorman movies. Perhaps 2.4? After this came out, they took all of the outtakes and deleted scenes and cobbled together "Wake Up Ron Burgundy." I didn't see it, I hear it's so-so. Then Anchorman 2 is fun.

How dare you? Christina Applegate is a national treasure! J/k, fake outrage (hiding real pain). But seriously, you clearly need to add some Applegate content to your list. I'd start with Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991) and The Sweetest Thing (2002). Maybe some Married... with Children (1987) episodes or at least some "best ofs." Her show Samantha Who (2007) was criminally underrated, and while her role in the Bad Moms movies (also starring Kathryn Hahn) was small, she was really, really funny. I hear Dead to Me (2019) on Netflix is really good, too.

A lot of younger people don't get the reference, but Ron's Dog's was named after Ted Baxter. Ted was a fictional idiotic obnoxious news anchor from the old Mary Tyler Moore Show a sitcom back in the 70's.
