Okay, I know that a fair bit of the video was joking... but I also legitimately enjoyed the character breakdown stuff and wouldn't mind seeing more in the future.

I'll have you know I'm a waifuologist and I take this topic very seriously

I can't believe MB (and anyone else covering the topic from what I've seen) didn't mention the MOST IMPORTANT PART. I wonder if no one else has considered this point... It's to do with what she is and what she represents and is exemplified in the final episode of season 2, when she tells Bell that they'd be together forever no matter what. That no matter when or where and in what timeline or lifetime, she'd be there for him and she'll come find him all over again and offer her love to him. Again and again. She is a litteral goddess who offers up a love that transcends time and space. A love that is eternal. We're all used to the concept of unconditional love being at the very height of what is attainable. Hestia offers a love that is both unconditional and eternal. That alone by its very definition takes all of our romantic notions about what love is supposed to be and blows it completely out of the park. The kind of love she represents is something that transcends human perceptions and understanding. It is the concept of a truly pure and perfect love. Something not of this earth, something that only exists in ideals. Just imagine if you will, a perfect being offering you unconditional love, affection and protection for all of the ages and incarnations of your existence. It ties in directly to the most fundamental fears of our human condition, the thought that ultimately we are all lost and alone. Now imagine all of those fears alleviated once and for all. For all of eternity. That no matter what hardships or fear you'll ever face, you'll never again have to face it alone. No greater thought could possibly be more soothing to the soul. That alone is why Hestia is Bestia. It's both what she represents and what she is. Perfect, pure, endless love. Nothing and no one else even remotely compares. Now fucking fight me. :)

Real talk. Hestia is "up there" in terms of waifu material because of her characterization. Like an actual wife, Hestia displays incredible devotion to our lead character. It's a pretty unique thing in anime, IMO. Yes there's jugs, the sandaled feet, and a lack of bikini line, but it all comes together in her characterization.

Really enjoyed the video, and I love the new series concept. It's cool to see someone doing more in depth character analysis on waifus instead of just appraising by appearance and archetype. Real talk though, when is the second episode of Anime's Greatest Mistake? I absolutely adored the Handshakers episode and was excited by the prospect of a new one every month or so... But that was like four months ago. Hope I don't come off like a dick, I mostly just want to know whether or not the series is still alive
