Why I Adore ENTJ's

Hiya guys - and a big warm welcome back to my channel again!
I wanted to talk today about why I absolutely love the ENTJ personality - and mention a couple of the things I admire about them, from the perspective of an INFP.
I think ENTJ's are often portrayed within the MBTI community as being these harsh, domineering, dictator-like characters - and I know that ENTJ's can often be perceived as being particularly strict or demanding of those around them, with little tolerance for bullsh*t.
This might be somewhat true, but I know that healthy ENTJ's can be some of the most inspiring, uplifting and accepting people. I find spending time around them really catalysts my own growth, and contributes to me achieving my own goals and crafting a life that I love.
To put it simply, they're just wonderfully inspiring to spend time with - and I wanted to give them some love!

I'm probably biased because my partner is an ENTJ, and it's worth noting that an Unhealthy or an ego-driven ENTJ may look very different to the person I've described above - but we can talk about what they may look like another time!

Well said One addition: personally, my loyalty is conditional. I'm only loyal if it's mutual. If the trust is broken, or I smell manipulation, that's it. We are done. ENTJ, 8w7

ENTJ 8w7 here, pretty accurate representation of the type but i would like to shed light on a couple things. ENTJs do live in their minds a lot, we actually fantasize about the future constantly. I have to remind myself to appreciate the moment as I'm constantly thinking of future implications of anything I'm doing. We dream it then achieve it (in theory lol). It's also true that a capitalistic society is built for ENTJs, due to the simple fact that meritocracy is much more appreciated within the culture. That said, we aren't as confident as we project, we're as self-critical as we are critical of others. This does help us stay more grounded and realistic though.

This is a very valid point!! I have noticed that I am much better at appreciating the moment that we’re in (enjoying the small things so-to-speak) than my ENTJ partner, who is quite often in his head planning ahead. You nailed it. I do also think, compared to an INFP, with my Se blindspot, you guys are very much more engaged in real world activity than I am. Not as much as Se doms of course, but compared to myself it’s something I still really admire in you guys. Thank you for sharing your insight, I appreciate hearing from another ENTJ!! 🥰

As an entj I have had goals and poured myself into them quite unhealthy without ever thinking about what I will do next or what it will be like once they are achieved, this was me going into tunnel vision by pressuring myself too much but I think it varies

@@samueldavies646 te-ni is very checklist oriented, each plan needs to come to completion. What you’re describing is ENTP-like. It’s true that ENTJs have tunnel vision, but not at the expense of the end goal.

It is nice to hear positive things about ENTJs. I am a female ENTJ with my INFP boyfriend, and I love our dynamic. My boyfriend loves my to-the-point and strong personality, but often other MBTI see us as villains. LOL! When we are actually very fun and positive people. We just love goals and reaching for higher things! And yes, ENTJs are very loyal! Once we pick you it will take a LOT to make us turn. My fiancee is the infp dreamer. I am the entj. I build the path toward our dreams and give her the in the now things to do, as the big picture is not exactly the infp area like it is for us. She likes that I can say what she is thinking with my passion and wisdom, still mixed with humor. I like her empathy and imagination, even if it is different from me.

ENTJ 3w4 over here and hey, thanks for the heart-warming words in the beginning! Almost all my life I've been drawn to becoming something in a certain field while following my own path, and I've succeeded with what I wanted on that end. Now over the past weeks I've been working on myself, or I guess more specifically with my Fi. Talked to a psychologist who explained the idea of primary/secondary feelings to me and has helped connect my internal feelings with how it really "feels" as in, how my body reacts to them. Learning about myself from such a perspective has been one of the coolest experiences of my life and I'm almost sad that it's only now. I could've needed a bit of this stuff in a much earlier point of my life, when I felt lost around people who knew how to operate Fi/Fe well. My FI has always been "alarmingly" low, but today I'm a lot more balanced as a person. Of all the personalities, I've always had a special connection with INFPs. It's like we understand and can compensate each other somehow. INFPs at the end of the day, reach out more so than others do, which is refreshing every time. Honestly, you are awesome personality wise. Great video!

Thank you so much for watching, I'm really envious of how ENTJ's have so much drive and conviction in the goals they set themselves, I change my mind so often that things rarely come to fruition before I've moved onto something else (the Ne curse!). It's great to read you've grown through exploring your inferior function, I think this is why ENTJ and INFP make such a good romantic match, personally - because we both strengthen each others inferior functions without even realising it. Hi! I’m an ENTJ 8w9! I always find that our personality type is so boxed into this ruthless, cold idea that a lot of people only see if they are not in a casual setting with us. If we are working on a project together, I can see where we are very VERY structured and strict with our timelines. However, I am friends with a few other ENTJs and I have found that we are super fun people to be friends with. All of my ENTJ friends are online, but that doesn’t stop us from messaging each other every day and make plans to fly out to see each other. Seeing this video confirmed that my view of my fellow ENTJs isn’t skewed. I have a partner that is an INFP and they help me so much with inspiring me and making me feel valid in my lofty goals HAHA. As a ENTJ myself this is spot on. In my career I quickly rose to company director. My daily goals are instictively laid out and (mostly) accomplished. My wife claims I am emotionally insensitive..😂

I was kind moved by the way you explained and cherished my personality type. I just thought "Yes! This is soooo me".... :) Some feelers misinterpret our love language quite often, and it's kind of frustrating sometimes from our side of view. But we love those feelers anyway, cause they can by so fun and rewarding to be around. I bet you could entertain your husband with a lot of interesting discussions about anything. In our line of business (computer maintenance), introverts can be a really good and focused asset when guided gently to the goal line.

I think INTJs and ENTJs are so similar in so many ways, for romantic compatability you may find the mutual admiration comes more easily with types you differ from (in the right sort of ways). For me (INFP) I can’t help but admire the strength, determination, strategic thinking, inspiring nature of my ENTJ because I probably lack a little in those areas. It’s just al love from my end, no competition. Meanwhile from his end he admires my softness, my creativity, my nurturing side etc. Our strengths aren’t in competition they’re just mutually compatible. Really sorry to hear your relationship didn’t work out with your INTJ :( what were your weaknesses do you think?

@@theimperfectinfp I would say the biggest difference over time was a level of competitiveness and us constantly one upping our accomplishments. It was a productive relationship but by the time we acheived our successes we had grown apart so much we didn't really approach as a team. Therewere many other variables outside from capability, us both einh scorpio, her being 39 and me 33 at the end of the 8 years and issues with the inlaws. Yet we did grow tremendously at the end of it all

I'm certain that one of my coworkers is an ENTJ, since she embodies all of the characteristics, and plans things really well. She's a born leader. We're both the only intuitives out of all the staff, and I enjoy learning how to be more efficient with my time from her, as well as how to be more organised, charismatic and inspiring.

Our other coworkers include two ISFJs, an ESFJ, an ESFP and an ISTJ. It's definitely invigorating to finally meet another person who is a high NI user. Do you know many ENTJs yourself?

This video 📹 is generally quite good, accurate and the girl obviously likes our personality type. However, a correction ( at least for my part). We do dream a lot and visualise in our heads a future path or a future vision of what should be because of what makes logical sense to us from either a practical, a theoretical or a financial viewpoint and outcome. Also we don't necessarily get 3 x done in 12 hours what other people get done. What we do manage to do is to find some golden opportunity to improve a situation or to make a situation quantifibly more advantageous than most other people. Sometimes we are able to create plans where we are able to find walk a camel through the eye of a needle 🪡 in difficult circumstances (or whatever the saying is ). What can see the long term, future goals and the bigger picture 🖼 . We are also able to look up above the valley and see what is elsewhere too. Traits that only some other personality types have.

I make time for him when I can, and I try to go out of my way to do nice things for him. I'm currently brainstorming ways to help him start his business because I want to support his dreams. Thanks for this video. I am an ENTJ, which I learned very recently. I wish I knew this about myself 40 years ago. I have had problems with relationships because I am very goal- and outcome-oriented, very driven for personal success, and want to live life everyday. However, my relationships have been with other types that do not mesh well with ENTJ. Very lovely people, but I could not satisfy them. I have been told all my life what is wrong with me, but your video and others I found have silenced those previous voices in my head.

ENTJ with a side of severe ADHD, emphasis on the "Hyper-active". It gives me not only short term memory, long term memory, but it also allows me to do the work of about 10 instead of 3. I can go on and on, tirelessly, the ADHD seems to work with it well for the positive but the dark side, the physical damage I can do to myself because I endure so much, even physical pain, for the goal, the dark side can be frightening. My relationship, my wife, I am trying to get her to understand these things about me more, and about herself, she is The Artist which I think might happen to be the exact opposite of me, where I go when I get depressed? It is hard to realize that she is the "feelings" and I am almost void of them to certain degrees outside of the idea that the feelings I feel I have are so powerful to her, yet I do understand she does not even see those feelings, they are in the future world I create and work towards, where I usually am, even when I am physically present. Oddly enough I would say on that moment, most moments, I am simply time traveling. This was very cool to watch and listen to someone who deals with us in a relationship, and sees the good side in us, I am having my wife watch this and many videos on ENTJ's to help her know me even better, help us find our ways out of our darkness in our relationship.

I'll take that biased view and here's why: because you have a good one. We all have that potential. We are team players in it to win it and when we have a good team we praise the stuffing out of them. When we have a bad team we either cut someone or peace out and start again. We love equality and hate wasting time with people who don't love what we love. But we also love to help others with their goals. It's all about the team with us. If anyone isn't putting in 100% we just can't let that happen. We value enthusiasm and a certain telepathic understanding of orchestrated maneuvers. The last thing we want is contention. I have definitely been known to use self depreciating humor, because sometimes I am a piece of shit and I need you unfuck myself. In my opinion, humor almost always has at least a small fragment of truth. So when I’m not hitting my goals at the gym for example, I have been known to call myself a fat piece of shit to motivate myself to not be in that category. In reality, I was probably doing more than fine, but fine is not good enough 😕

Lol, Im an entj with an infp. I don't know how you infp stand being around us let alone love us so deeply given how much pressure and stress we generate in social situations when infps are so peaceful

Its not 3 times. It about 5 times. I have measured it.. I think that INFP or ENFP make a great long term partners with ENTJs. ENTJ 8w7

My previous comment was a little bit rude so I deleted it, but I genuinely think a relationship with an ENTJ isn't for me. Maybe it's my bad experience with that type of people, but I really don't like and don't understand why the internet is trying to tell me that such a realtionship could be a great thing. I just don't get it, but then again, Im not a stereotypical INFP - Im a very traditional and independent person and I really don't like to be commanded around, and from my expiernece these are not the traits that ENTJs would generally appreciate. This is, of course, a generalization, but I dont think INFP's and ENTJ's have a lot (if anything) in common and personally I would really appreciate someone who vibes the same way I do :D. Stereotypically speaking I would pick ENFJ (according to the internet, another great pick for an INFP) over ENTJ any day of the week. But, of course, that is all irrelevant anyway, because ENFP best girl

that is really interesting, thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinion! (which are 1000% valid!) I actually dated an ENFJ and found that we really didn't work well at all - I think on paper the relationship sounds nice, but the reality is that the ENFJ's dominant Fe are forever going to be battling against our dominant Fi. To the INFP, who values authenticity and integrity, the dominant Fe looks a lot like people-pleasing and inauthenticity, which overtime gets frustrating and causes a lot of conflict. Meanwhile to the ENFJ who values social harmony and gaining the approval of others, INFP's not valuing these looks like we're being selfish. Both ENTJ's and INFP's value authenticity, honesty, exploring, being open to growth and new ideas etc. - it actually works very complimentary in my relationship! Meanwhile: because the one area we excel in (Fi) is the area ENTJ's struggle with (their weakest function being Fi) they admire us for our internal values, instead of perceiving them as selfish. And vice-versa. But hey - we can all date whoever we want to date! :)

I prefer women who function autonomously: my ideal partner has to be independent and intelligent. However, she must also support my ambitions while she allows me to support hers. Otherwise, I'll feel like I'm dating a ghost, then I'll question the importance of the person in my life.

I can definitely understand why any INFP may get annoyed with any ENTJ either in the short term or over time. We can be a bit too stuck in our plans (which can sometimes become inflexible ) and our goals (which can sometimes involve vaulting ambition). This can really annoy a more feeling type. Therefore, I can see why any feeling preference personality type may prefer another feeling preference personality type as their partner. However, what the lady (INFP) has written here is also very true and valid : that both ENTJ's and INFP's have Fi and that they therefore possess and prefer a subjective internal value based morality that is resistant to a changing social morality, as both ENTJ's and INFP's easily see authenticity and integrity in people's morals. However, ENFJ's because the have Fe (and it is dominant too in their personality) have a much more fluid morality system based current social perceptions and beliefs. Over time these 2 different preferences for morality can be incongruous between the aforementioned personalities..

Thanks for the ego boost 🤣 My 15 year old daughter is infp I think. She’s hilarious…but we butt heads sometimes. I’m just always on the move and she literally doesn’t wanna leave the house lol. We get along great other than she’s a bit lazy 😅

You guys are literally ALWAYS on the move 😆 I love it…90% of the time. And you’re so energising and optimistic and you make life actually seem….doable?! Because to young INFPs it can all get a bit overwhelming (lol) and that’s when we’re prone to stagnancy and just too much introspection for sureeee
