I went from a Chevy truck to Challenger, a totally new experience & my car is manual-its been 20 years since I drove a manual, I gotta remind myself that there is a 6th gear! I LOVE driving it.

The scats are a great value! Mine stickered at $52k with every option except a sunroof and I got it new for $42k. I daily drive mine for work and drive 2500-3000 miles/mo. I’ve had it for almost 2 yrs and put 62k mikes on it with zero issues. It’s a super-comfortable place to be and of the 3 domestic options, the scat easily has the most room and best functioning infotainment setup. Destroyer Grey FTW!

2 days ago I bought my 2020 Challenger Scat Pack Shaker... exactly like yours but mine is black. I’m 68 years old and it only took me 51 years to finally own a Mopar Hemi muscle car!! Today I drove it 650 miles from Concord, NC to Clifton, NJ. I have a badly damaged spine, and it couldn’t have been more comfortable. Holy cow it’s so quick!! And l loud!

A Hellcat and a Scat Pack in the same family?! OK, I'm subscribing. I bought a 2018 Scat Pack Shaker about three weeks ago with 4,400 miles on it. I love this car. I have never owned or driven anything like this. I've got a lot to learn as far as owning or driving this car. I do love staring over that Shaker when I'm driving down the road.

I will be making a video next week titled: "Why I traded in my Mustang GT for a Challenger SRT Hellcat," though that probably is self-explanatory.

I just traded in my 2016 challenger 5.7 r/t for a 2016 challenger scatpack "shaker" package 2 days ago also.. I love it , big difference in power and that shaker hood.. I'm satisfied and happy dont need nothing else.. Dig your channel and insight, just subscribed..

The Scat in Destroyer Gray with the Shaker package is so Badass!!!! It's a nice package that adds a unique air to an already sick car.

Found these videos and like your insight and commentary. I am considering a muscle car purchase (Camaro SS, Mustang GT, Challenger Scat Pack). It will be my everyday car about 40 miles/day r/t. Bought a 19 Charger scat a couple months ago. Bone stock I just added wider 275 summer tires. With the MDS (4 cylinder mode) it really is the perfect daily. Super fun.

This is an older video but I'm taking that magic time machine and commenting anyways, first off what a great video! I currently own and just bought a fully loaded 2018 Destroyer Grey Challenger T/A 392 auto with 11k miles from Arlington Vandergriff Acura. I absolutely love it, my favorite car and I've owned a very diverse amount of fast cars that I'm going to list. A 1969 Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet equipped white with black hood, Deep Impact Blue Whipple Supercharged 2014 Mustang GT California Special, 2014 Deep Impact Blue Shelby GT500, Mineral grey 2018 BMW M4 auto, Yasmine Blue 2019 BMW M4 6 speed manual, 2019 Black Scat Pack Charger, 2022 Siberian Ice Colored Genesis G70 3.3T "twin turbo" fully loaded, a surprisingly beautiful and fast car that I traded for the Challenger. So out of all these awesome machines the T/A 392 Challenger is my absolute hands down favorite, it's fast, comfortable and beautiful. Has that menacing classic muscle car look that is enhanced with the sinister Destroyer Grey paint job that hits it out of the park, oh yeah and the hood pins are icing on the cake. What a fantastic muscle car. I was kind of lost as I ventured into the European sports car realm with the two M4's, which are fantastic in their own right but lack any muscle car sound or feel, they felt like a slot car and though awesome and fast I felt out of place piloting them. Plus they kept breaking down costing me a fortune. So I tried the Genesis G70 which stunningly mimicked the BMW's and in some ways beat BMW at their own game. In many ways that amazing 2022 G70 3.3T Sports Prestige which is their fully optioned car is going to turn the European sports luxury car market upside down. I liked that car a lot but.... at 54k its got an identity crisis and that's a lot of money for a Hyundai built car which they claim not to be. So after owning it and only putting 4k on that new car I longed for another pure American Muscle car. Something fast, loud and bad to the bone. The Challenger T/A 392 fit that ticket just perfectly. I've gone full circle and I must say it feels wonderful to be back home in beautiful American muscle car again, here I shall stay. By the way those new FlowMaster Super 44's with resonator deletes I just had installed.... speechless... I love this car and thumbs up to your awesome channel, thumbs up and subscribed.

I picked up a 2016 Challenger Scat 6 speed about a month ago, it had 3600 miles on it I know what your saying it is a blast to drive you really forget how heavy this car really is love the way it drives & handles yes the 245 tires just plain suck will address that issue shortly great non bias video !

I don't know if they ever fixed it, but i would look into a dipstick replacement on your car only because during my 4 months servicing cars, almost every challenger/charger dipstick I would try to pull out to check engine oil level broke at the handle leaving the metal rod stuck inside. This was back in 2015 though so quality may have improved since then.

how do you feel about the r/t cars with the 5.7? im looking at picking up a 6 speed 5.7 T/A because I looooooove how it looks. just hope that it will entertain me enough driving it. another thing is do you think the electronics will hold up over time?

Great video. Scat packs are awesome. I love my 15 Shaker 5.7.... definitely heavy car but the hemi engines make it feel light as a feather.

Have had a 2014 Challenger for a few years (5.7) & am totally satisfied. Decided to see how fast it was so took it up to 240 kph. Just short of 150 mph with 85% throttle opening. Could not keep it on the floor due to curves that scared me into lifting. My estimate of top speed is between 155 & 160 mph. Never gone that fast in my life.

Just got my 2018 Charger R/T a couple weeks ago. Coming from a 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo.

You made the right call. My GT350 is joining the lemon mustang crowd, looking at a challenger myself now.

I have an sxt plus with all the bells and whistles and I drove a scat pack and man the exhaust is so intoxicating. Going to work to that goal!

RacerX, I have narrowed down to the Challenger scatpack. I am wondering which YEAR you feel is a good one to get? I was considering a 2015 to 2019. Have they changed that much during that time (drivetrain, suspension)? It would be a daily and I go more for acceleration and crusing than top speed. I have a 2014 Charger RT road and track pack as well.

Is the hellcat used worth 10k more than a 392 scat? Really trying to purchase one of the 2 this year but I’m debating if I really need/want the hellcat. It’s going to be a daily as well as occasional trips to the drag strip.

Hey Racer! I’m looking to get one of these 3 and I’m going to do the same 4 basic bolt ons for whichever one I get. Headers, intake, exhaust & a 93 or E85 Tune. If I I’m going to use this vehicle to daily drive and occasional street pulls and races which should I get? I’m 22 years old and this is just going to be a vehicle for myself so the interior space doesn’t matter much to me. Also, which from these 3 would you say performs best at the 1/4 mile?

I had a 2019 Mustang GT (auto). Started ticking before the first oil change. Eventually got rid of it during the first year of ownership. Ford states (now) that the BBQ tick is normal operating characteristic, but I don't buy it. It's likely piston slap. Looking for something else now. Possibly a Challenger; more likely that than a Camaro.

That color combo is niiiiiiiiice. Sweet car and the shaker puts it over the top. Enjoy it

I had a 2016 Mustang GT Performance Pack car, until I recently traded it in and bought a new Challenger Widebody Scat Pack a couple of months ago. I really did love the Mustang and I do miss it from time to time. A totally different driving experience from the Challenger. But having said that I don't have any regrets about my decision to buy the Challenger. It is the last of the true grand touring muscle cars.

Duuude, all my friends thought I was crazy when I chose 340bhp Chrysler 300 as my first car to learn how to drive and u buy ur wife a 475 for learning purposes, I do respect that.

I just upgraded to a 2018 Challenger RT from a 2012 Camry just 4 days ago. I'd love to hear what you recommend for engine mods on the 5.7/6.4

Okay, your Scat Pack videos help me decide to not trade in my very practical 2017 JKU on a 2020 JLU and instead I bought a very impractical new 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack in Sublime green...so thanks a lot for that.

Is the tick in the motors from the direct injection? My 6.2 Silverado has had a small tick since I bought it new from the injectors

I’m looking at a scatpack widebody 6speed manual. I’m looking for the manual because I hate cylinder deactivation crap all manufactures do now days. Does dodge have issues with the cylinder deactivation it n the auto cars?

I found a 2015 Scat Pack shaker . 6.4L. 6 speed manual. It's in great shape but with 40000 miles.. I'm really debating on buying it.

That is exactly what I paid. It had 165 miles on it. [6 speed manual which actually is less $s]. Love the car!!! You can avoid that spray with "LZ1" rock guards which actually are not obnoxious looking and very easy to install. I had mine clear wrapped with "Solar Guard Proshield Hydro +", self healing [it really is!]. 5 fused layers. not sandwiched. No more rock chips and swirls! Peace of mind so is the 7 year 100K bumper to bumper to bumper [as I call it!] extended warranty...

I bought my Challenger on Good Friday. I love it!

i traded a 2010 charger sxt in, for a 2014 challenger rt shaker. im so glad i did. the challenger is such a perfect muscle car. the torque is super punchy. its just wants to go go go. i dont even feel cramped either. there is enough elbow room for sure. its my fav car now. ill never be able to buy a hellcat. dont dismiss an RT, they got some good torque.

Camaro and Challenger guy here. Both are great but unless shes taller than me (6'2) with blindspot monitoring she would've Been good.

I had dreams of buying a Mustang GT, worked overtime, saved up for a down payment, did my research , and bam!! typewriter tic, no way in hell would i throw money at a car with that problem. Those of you who say folks who don't own the car have no right to criticize , you're wrong, people who wanted to buy the Mustang and heard about the problems have every right to complain, Ford should know the many potential customers they lost by selling some bullshit, there's no way that can be justified. Currently looking for a scatpack.

Well, the hemi engines have a design flaw . If you let one idle excessively, you will have an engine tick also, after the oil starved lifters wipe the cam lobes. Hope there is a fix, as I am a fan of the Challengers and the hemis.

On the scat pack challenger, if you don't get the shaker option is that other hood that comes standard a SRT hood and is it functional or is it cosmetic like the shaker scoop? For that $$2,200 'shaker package dont you get any other features as i have heard they only give you a different trim in the interior? AT what point or model do you get a hood that is functional in any way as far as ram air or air retractors to let the hot air in engine to escape? I heard if you get a wide body scat pack it comes with a functional Hellcat hood that lets hot air escape from engine and take in more cold air into engine. I know in certain models of the challenger (PROBABLY REDEYE AND HELLCAT ONLY) that air intake ram air is in turn signal light. Is all of the above true?🤔 Also what is ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION OPTION AND IS IT WORTH THE COST ON SCAT PACK?

Does electric steering mean that if your alternator dies on you suddenly , you wont be able to steer the car onto the side of the road?

Love my Stang but the direct injection kept me away from the 18. Learned not to buy the first generation of a change like that. That's why I found a new 17 when they pushed the 18s on the lot. Had no problems to date.

There is a difference between fast and fun, and it’s hard to beat the fun you get with a pushrod V8 and it’s low end torque.

The scat pack I have on order just has 1 option well besides the automatic, I have the driver convenience group equipped and that’s 41,426

You should put a oil catch can on the car, it keep the engine clean, because direct injection engine get carbon Build up faster than port injection. Putting a pedal commander or sprint booster make the car more responsive.

should get the SpeedKore challenger CF front end....yeah yeah yeah its like 10k....but 400lbs lighter...

the infotainment system in the challenger/charger are SOOO much better than the camaro and mustang. Once your used to the scat pack, switching to a camaro ss or mustang gt sucks. the 392 is a torquey beast and feels so much better as well. The shaker has a huge heat soak issue. found that out on my scat pack. seal that upper air box to the hood and it'll be alot better on intake air temps.

I had a 2018 6.4 Shaker. Love the 6.4, love the car, but did NOT like the rainwater that drains through the two 3/4 inch and one small oval drain hole right on top on the motor, alternator, water pump housing. Really dumb how dodge doesn't have drain hoses attached to the bottom of the shaker base plate assembly.
