Why I DITCHED the KING OF TONE and went back to the Marshall Bluesbreaker

I recently went back to the 2023 reissue Marshall Bluesbreaker and ditched my Analogman King Of Tone.... Why would you do such a thing I hear you ask!!! Well, you'll have to watch the video to find out of course!

Hi Jason, I love the BB, I've had one since the 90s, I also love the chord progression you play in the demo, does it belong to a theme? It sounds a lot like rhcp.

Waiting for the premiere to start, but my semi-plan is to run the BB into at TS9 and then into that Boss booster, which has proven to be a killer pedal.

So many pedals are based off the Bluesbreaker anyway, the question is always, do you really need the expensive hard to get version?

My older video was from when they first came out with the reissue and I paid full price, sold it back then but I picked this one up brand new for about £50 less than the price when they launched them.

My go to drive pedals are Thorpyfx, nothing has pushed my peacekeeper off! and I recently got lucky enough to grab a boneyard Fuzz! Blue edition, only 11 made!. Putting that aside. You can’t go wrong with a blues breaker and I think they have been in good deals lately! I remember them when I was a teen!! Cost 50 pounds new if I remember right

I’m keen to try more thorpy stuff, I’ve had the bunker in the past but it didn’t do it for me, peacekeeper is on the list for sure but I’d also like to try the Dane.

@@JasonWharton82 I use a Thorpy Peacekeeper and fallout cloud! Love them! Use to have a field marshal but that one was too rough for me if that’s the word? still a lot of grin on lowest settings! Fallout cloud was just right fir me :)

Do you prefer the BB before or after another drive. Where do you place it in the board ?

I prefer it last in the drive section with all other drives, fuzzes and boosts running into it, modulation goes after then delay and reverb.

Interesting. I keep going back and forth with it first and then last. Running both an SD-1 and TS9, but I have the Boss booster last--much prefer that there. Right now I have it running first into a SD-1 then into a TS9 and then into the booster. Anyway, great pedal. @@JasonWharton82
