I don't know about UK, but in USA, meat isn't always just meat. They add everything from water to glue to celery seed powder to the meat, before they sell it to you. They often don't disclose it. Often some meats are also not the kind of meat they claim it is, especially with fish.

Hmmm…I used to eat more like this. I think I’ll revisit it. Many thanks for the share!

Hello Let me start by saying that you look fantastic and very healthy I have started the Carnivore way of eating on Jan 10. after being on keto for many years Combining keto with intermittent fasting and even alternate day fasting caused me to overeat on keto allowed foods and treats on my eating window which caused me to stall out in a big way Eating Carnivore has been fantastic for me I absolutely love it and no more inflammation in my body Thank you for your very knowledgeable and encouraging video about your own journey

Chronic fatigue is rough--good video. I am interested in why you would not recommend carnivore long term.

Thanks for sharing. I’m not familiar with CBT Therapy. Would you please give a short explanation?

I enjoyed this video; you shared lots of great info! I would like to see a video of why you wouldn't recommend carnivore long-term, as well. 😊 What are your thoughts of blending keto with carnivore with PSMF? I've heard some people have had success alternating days. 🤔 I've had the C-O twice in the last 6 weeks and have a lot of remnants still hanging around now! I stay fatigued and moody. I just can't seem to get motivated! 😕 I also fell off the wagon during this time because I haven't felt well enough to fix anything, so while under my daughter's care, I basically ate whatever she provided if I could eat at all! 😫 Thanks for sharing everything with us!! I'm glad to see you're feeling better!! ❤💙💜 Lana

Hi Lana, thank you for such nice comments. I have been reading into PSMF very recently but my knowledge of it isn't as good as I'd like it to be! If you want someone with more knowledge on PSMF with keto, I would highly suggest having a look at Maria Emmerich's blog as I know she is very well versed with it. I can definitely see some benefits to PSMF but I have some hesitancies about certain guidelines and wouldn't want to say it's a good idea or not with my lack of knowledge. I'm sorry you haven't felt well enough and completely sympathise with the lack of motivation. The thing I always suggest to others who are struggling with motivation (and I know it's easier said than done) is to do one little thing a day. I used to set a timer for 10 minutes and do 10 minutes cleaning a day - nothing more, nothing less. 10 minutes was doable but felt like I was doing nothing to the mess that built up around me, but over the course of a week I had cleaned my office from top to bottom and my mood had started to improve! Which helped me start to find the motivation to do other things like include 5 minutes of exercise, do a few more minutes of work a day, cook a recipe that felt like too many steps for me to even attempt prior etc. Over the course of a few months, with these little victories, my motivation was building and my fatigue began to feel like something I could conquer (except the times where I couldn't fight the need to nap or it got so overwhelming I had to jump back into the carnivore diet for a few days!) This is something I learnt in CBT - learning to celebrate the little victories over one big victory, to build more steady motivation over time. It takes practise and it's so important to accept that we aren't perfect and will have off days or days we consider not successful - but that doesn't mean your feelings aren't valid and it doesn't make you any less of a person. One day at a time, one little change or attempt at something we struggle with a day. We'll get there.

@@TheKetoKitchen thanks! I will try that! Yes, I have read Maria's book and watched multiple videos from various RU-vidrs on PSMF. I know the history, as well. Here's my take: 1. All three are ketosis-based. 2. PSMF was created for the morbidly obese. 3. PSMF is basically a fasting state without compromising the body's protein, thereby not losing muscle mass. 4. PSMF is not meant for extended fasts. 5. Most are using PSMF two to three nonconsecutive days a week. 6. Many have had success breaking through plateaus with PSMF 7. Instead of regular fasting, PSMF is better for people, like me, who need to take medication with food. I think alternating days is the key to using PSMF, along with keto and/or carnivore to get optimal results, especially if someone has a lot they need to lose. ❤💙💜

I’m curious if you or a family member are diabetic and how you got started on keto

I did it to support my mother who had come out the other end of a life threatening illness with type 2 diabetes. She didn't want to be diabetic and researched how to change that (she was off all medication within 2 months!) Whilst I only started it to be motivation for her... I lost a lot of weight, felt the best I'd felt in years, became interested in science after hating it in school and learnt how to cook - so I just kept going and fell in love with this way of eating!

Interesting I wonder would this help my fibro? :0) xx

I wouldn't want to make assumptions (as I've read very mixed personal results with carnivore for fibro) but I would say it's worth a try!
