Man, I couldn't think any more opposite to this... The black belt was the beginning for me, where the adventure begins! It doesn't stop. You don't 'achieve all your goals'. You just create new goals. Its been so much more fun and rewarding at black belt compared to the other belts. The more skill you gain, the more skill you have to use and enjoy. Also, opening up what I like to call the 'absolute division for skill' at competition is the BEST new journey to start... Competing for the first few time at BB made me truly feel the difference in levels. People aren't always just a few months away from you in experience level any more, they could years and years on it. Its truly back to be humbled white belt style. its awesome.

Don't worry when you get your black belt, you'll have to contend with the blue belt - black belts. Or even higher level black belts.

There might as well be a whole new belt system for black belts. Or even one for each degree you get. Like someone mentioned in the comments, there’s levels to this shit. I don’t think I’d be any less impressed with Gordon as a black belt than I am now as a purple.

I assume I won't be a black belt until I'm like 50 maybe haha. I'm a 33 yr old mom who isn't very athletic. Of course, I'd love to be good enough for black one day but I'm doing this for the journey. To challenge my mind and body. ❤🎉 Thanks for another great video! Good luck on your next comp

Like any other sport, there’s high level, professional, and then there’s elite. And then within elite, there are levels… and so on…. Depends why you do it… I love training, but I’m never competing 😂

Bruh this title was clickbait 😂 I enjoy that last quote “I’m never going to be a blue belt again but I’ll forever be a black belt”. Also a blue belt here, it really is about enjoying the journey :) with life in general.
