Why I Got Denied of US Tourist Visa (Manila) 

I was also interviewed last Nov 25. I had so many huge red flags but I still gave it a shot. My husband is a us citizen and currently in the US,we have not seen each other in person for 3 years, Hindi din sya permanent resident here, my only travel history was noong OFW ako. The whole time sa interview ko kunot noo si consul.hahah. On some questions I tried to explain further para ma justify ang sagot. Nakinig naman si consul, I think as long as relevant ang sagot they will not stop you kahit medyo mahaba ang sagot. Nakaka kaba na experience. Before me apat ang na deny ng sunod2. Akala ko ako na ang 5th but thank God naka pasa din ako

One tip, remember to always answer the question in congruent with your online application; no more or less. Also,the embassy will evaluate your application prior your appointment: criminal check, travel history (not just the number of countries). They will check your fb and everything in the web too. Also, Iv been told that the embassy usually decide to either deny or issue a visa even before your visit.

USA is one of the restricts to apply Visa on whatsoever unless you have fiance that petition you from US. Mahigpit talaga sila, best of luck sa sunod na apply.

I just got approved today, I was also very nervous because I hired a visa consultant, and they told me that it would take a miracle for me to get a visa. I was so discouraged that I almost did a no-show, but I braved it and went anyway. They said I have no kids, no family in the usa and no reason to return, but a miracle happened and was given a visa. My questions revolved around the attractions I wanted to see and what I knew about them, good thing I did my research.

Thank you for sharing . Kinabahan kasi ako next year pa naman interview ko for US tourist visa. After ko mag apply online . I have no job just a homemaker. Married with the foriegn citizens. Got my US DOD ID card because my husband is a retired military. For properties naman nka pangalan tittle sa house and lot , lands, and our brandnew car . And i only had 1 active bank account . For travel history i only been in thailand and malaysia😢 .. but im still nervous that i got denied 💔

Nainterview din po ako last year sa us embassy pero iba po yung visa category ko,kada tanong ng consul sa akin mabilis ko nasasagot,minsan nga po diko na napapansin ang lakas pala ng boses ko.,parang dinig ako ng buong building.Sagot ko lang palagi yes or no walang explanation.Except na lang kung pinapa explain nya.Apply na lang po kayo uli sir,kasi natututo tau sa mali natin at next time approved na po kayo nyan

Hi. Thanks for sharing your experience. Kindly remember that the consults have a pre-conceived notion that you have an immigration intent, so your goal is to convince them that you are going to leave the US after the duration of your visit. Did you mention about the book keeping job in your application? If not, it is best not to mention it and follow what’s in your application :-) All the best next time.

Ang mahirap kasi pg narefused ka tendency is ma refuse k uli, again & again sayang ang pera. Kaya sa first time mo try your best na maipasa mo. Make sure you have strong ties to your home country. Yun sa anak ko luckily na grant ang visa nya ksma pa 6 yo kid nya, her interview was feb of this yr. Wala cya show money, no invitation letter, no real property docs.

You don’t have to wish which consul to go to because they already decided before you came so even if you go to the one that looks kinda nice it wont matter because a decision has been made.

Sometimes it is very hard to read their mind.. well, stay Positive, build your strong position in your county, prove to them that you have a good job, have family, parents, have property and have savings, you are coming to your country, make a eye 👀 contact and be confident. Try again after 2-5 yrs.. be confident..or come as a student visa, you are very young, that is a challenge too. I am US Citizen now.. 25 yrs in US. Now soon helping foreigners to come to US with E2 visa and EB5 visa investment/ business partnershop opportunities then get green card. Take care.

Hi, I relate much from this vlog! I am also being truthful sa answer ko during that day. 3 questions lang yong tinanong sa akin. I thought tuloy tuloy na but end binagayn ako ng blue paper under 214b.it means na ang consul hindi convince sa sagot interview or d natin na elaborate ang intent natin of stay. March 9 ako nadenied. So dapat tlaga isang sagot isang tanong lang base sa experience ko. But it's a good experience, naman. Yong sa akin naman hinanda kona sarili denied or pasa open naman ako. Kaya pag tangap ko ng blue paper nag pause pa ako sa counter at binasa kopa. Nagkakalungkot, kasi nga sa sobrang trufull tau sa sagot wala kang chance mag explain kasi..masyasdong mabilis ang process nakakaiya namn sa naksunod sa atin. But God has a good plan and perfect timings. We can try again😊. Question ko lang po meron ka bang idea how long it will take to get an appointment pag magre apply? Thanks po sa time! Best of luck po

Grabe Its been 10 years already pero fresh pa rin sa utak ko yung denial and rejection ng Tourist visa ko. 3x ako na denied. Parang kahapon lang.

This is not a good advice. Always remember, CONSUL/IMMIGRATION will always find a way to investigate and evaluate our documents. You could have said, "I worked in UAE legally, and only worked there within the allowed period. I left UAE after the contract and i did not overstay." For the tourist visa, if you are an adult, you have to prove to them that you can support yourself while you are in their country. Also, strong ties in the Philippines is important including car loans, properties and a job. Do not attempt to lie before US CONSULAR OFFICER. That will backfire sooner or later. Also, they are not required to tell you what went wrong. It's just the way it is. It's not just in the US. Even in other countries which requires VISA, they will not tell you anything. On the other hand, I'm sorry it happened to you. Maybe, next time, make a good impression and bring up a stronger case.

i dont advise na di sabihin na nagwork abroad, makikita kasi nila yon. immigration has a way to confirm things so better to still tell them the truth. build your strong ties siguro and also yung namention mo that you went to UAE first to travel then to work. Ganun kasi karamihan ng pinoy sa US.

Dont worry, if is not your time yet, it will come, maybe in a different way. I ws like you, denied several times, which served as a motivation for me to try other avenues. I applied in other countries to work and live. Found my new work and home in New Zealand, became a NZ citizen, and now I can travel not only to the US but also to Europe - Visa free. When a door closes, a window will open.

Sir hibdi ka mahiya kasi hindi mo naman kasalanan kung bakit ka na denied. You can apply for the second time kung gusto mo talagang pupunta ka sa US. Yong iba it takes then 3rd interviews before passing it. Good luck for the next future mo.

Hi kuya Arvi, I also experienced this #heartbroken era of mine last july and august. I also applying for my student visa po last year and yeah I was also denied, hehe. In my case po twice ako nadenied kasi after ng 1st denial ko nagkuha ulit ako ng appointment hoping na makapasa since magstart ang school ko mga 2 to 3 weeks. For me po, I do have a sister sa US (a permanent resident🥲) and sponsored po yung school ko doon by my brother-in-law’s mom. Hayst sadded lang pro di ko alam what was the thing na nagkamali ako🥹hayst. Maybe d pa po natin worth ngayon na magkaroon ng visa hehe hoping for the next time kuya😩.

Ang sabi ng mga nagrant ng visa, kung ano lang daw po talaga nilagay mo sa DS-160 yun lang din isasagot mo, no more no less and direct to the point…unless may follow-up question…okay lang mag try ulit apply, marami nabigyan ng visa sa 2nd try

Hi Arvi! It's okay. You can apply again. Maybe next time, don't mention na lang that you worked abroad. That gave the consul the idea na baka mag TNT ka sa US kahit bumalik ka pa dito sa atin. Just mention your travels. Hit and miss talaga din eh. God bless.

I think the reason why you failed, first the way you answered seemed too confident that it might give the impression of being cocky. I understand when you said not to give too much information when you answer but yes or no answer is a little bit exaggerated.

When they asked you if "were you offered a vacation?", you should have answered, I am entitled to hv vacation leave annually. They will allow you even if you hv family business only bec, it compensates you. You just need to show a proof that you can suffice your stay there like enough money from banks (not only ATM but have another account), you must have itinerary where to go, and accommodation address or hotel booking where to stay and must have a return ticket where you come from. When you talk, you need to look eye to eye.
