...any proper gun owner ALWAYS checks if a gun is loaded, EVERY TIME. And proper gun safety is a MUST. I find myself doing muzzle control and trigger discipline with spray bottles and air freshners for God's sake lol.
lol I do the same when using a drill or impact. It’s aimed at the floor until I’m using it and my pointer is up on the side. It may seem goofy to others, but I’d rather look like a fool than start getting complacent with actual firearms.
the amount of times I pushed the muzzle of an airsoft gun out of my face when my friends are looking at them is stupid, just because I know that my replicas are stored without ammo and with the batteries removed doesnt mean 1. they know that 2. its safe to point at people
@@MarcusVance it also doesn’t teach bad fire arms safety because someone could think that a replica airsoft gun is the real thing & as a result take away from one of your videos that a dangerous way to handle firearms is in fact safe. It’s very obvious that the prop weapons that you use aren’t real.

Plus, isn't there the common thing of "guns are not toys"? Thus, a real gun should NOT be waved and swung around a camera for the sake of youtube/tiktok likes and instead a prop or something that IS a toy should be used instead
Is RU-vid also unfriendly to what it thinks is real full auto gun sounds? I wonder if youtube's idea of a vulcan gun sound is the same as movies. So if you use the sound of distinct individual bullets, it might be frowned upon. However, if you use the thundering waterfall sound of a real vulcan gun of an A-10, would youtube notice? Maybe experiment on it. Just some food for thought
To be fair theoretically and practical do apply to talking about some of these things but at the same time the guy getting butt hurt about cool props instead of anything else is being annoying nitpicker more than saying anything about the topic in whatever video he was watching.
@Candlemancer Generally I agree. But private and personal "operators" will often tell you that there are better tactics and ideology than what infantry utilize. I'm just a dude and don't pretend to know. But plenty of real operators behave pretty far from typical military doctrine. For better or for worse, lol. I still hate the thumb over the grip thing. But I'm all about comfort. XD
A good example of a legitimate criticism someone may have for your work was your interpretation of the current use of isosceles, shooting stances for a pistol one of the reasons that people point out the isosceles stance as useful today is because of the use of body armor, but it is also simply the most efficient way that humans move. We are designed to walk forward and backwards, and the isosceles stance is designed to be more mobile as a whole, but also forward backwards.
I'm a simple man. I see a yt notification with the word guns, and the name Marcus and my borderlands instincts kick in. You have my full support, and honestly I understood the reasoning the first time I watched one of your videos. After all even gray still plays is having to sensor happy wheels now to avoid demonitization, so yeah, yt restrictions are getting out if hand.
People with real knowledge about guns also know about gun safety and don't leave them out in the open just for showing off, fake guns that are based on video game weapons make a far better background in that regard
Yea, years ago(like 2007) i was looking for a sling for my classic army g3 and some other accessories. it still had the orange tip on it. My dad had a table and the next table was empty, so for shits and giggles i set it up on its bipod. People kept asking me "is that a real HK?" Lmao. I also love when people are like "just buy a real gun her her". Im like A cant use a real gun to shoot my friends and B i have bout 50 real guns....
2 things: 1) the baby is very cute 2) A person who actually respects firearms doesn't say "oh, well why don't you have the real deal out here?" because they understand that guns are TOOLS. They are DANGEROUS tools if used in the wrong circumstance. They shouldn't just be lying around for something like this. I have a tremendous amount of disdain for people who use live firearms for purposes other than the one thing they are made for: shooting. At a range, for self defense, whatever. But that is what a gun is for. Shooting. Not decoration. Not for "cool factor" or whatever. It can be cool, and it can be decorative. But if it is a live firearm, it needs to be secured unless you are using it for shooting.
Tbh might like some of these props as airsoft. This is unrelated to the original comment otherwise, I just think having a halo magnum airsoft might be cool. And yet, no free time.
Not to mention, when you demonstrated quick aiming by firing at the camera, I don't think that would have been as smart with anything not a foam dart. I mean it might have been cool---once. But getting my view booped by a nerf worked for me!
You did say a few things wrong, for one silencer is 100% the correct term and when it comes to guns heating up it takes a lot to heat up a hand gun i could fire 30 rounds from glock and immediately stuff it in my pocket its not that hot and revolvers take even longer to heat up
That one is supposed to be Boba Fett's carbine, but I ran out of super glue so didn't put the stock on. And now I kinda like just having that as a massive pistol and also a loose stock
First off, I'm happy you don't have any on display as that's not very safe. Second, I love your videos and want you making more money on them so you can make more. And third, Using that logic, no one knows anything if someone has more than you. So if there is someone with more guns or certificates than you, all your knowledge, experience, and property means nothing. So I guess we should all have our stuff posted on a roster and only the one on top can talk.
You're also filming indoors. Much safer to use fun props than having even a fraction of a chance for something to go wrong. Still, I do think it sucks that anything gun-related is restricted when Hollywood still gets all the money from John Wick.
I have no problem with your use of props for demonstrative purposes. It in fact makes your work more entertaining. I have had criticisms over certain topics you’ve discussed but i don’t see this as a problem and i feel like your videos are designed to be more open ended
We call this a dtrawman argument, he's attacking a logical position you don't hold while attempting to shift the 'goal posts' of the debate and insinuate a lack of qualification ,despite knowing absolutely nothing about your background... and the fact you not only own guns and possibly airsoft guns as well.
