Thanks a lot for your honesty and clarity of your comments. Those things are important to me because I am a retiree and want to live in a place that is affordable, friendly, with good Hispanic food and easy travel to the USA. Keep on with your videos!!!!!
We are glad you chose and live in Guatemala. You are always welcome here. As you may have noticed Guatemala is not dangerous, I heard there are groups of people from out of the country organizations that want to place Guatemala in a bad due its recent popularity and keep trying; but, anyway we welcome you and anyone who wants to experience Mayan life in Guatemala. Welcome and God bless.
Hey Johnny ! You think you will eventually be back in Guatemala ? We move to Xela in January ( from Nicaragua ). We are very excited ! Why are we moving there ? Cool weather- this is a must for us. Fairly safe Decent hospitals Low cost of living We here the people are friendly Seems to check all our boxes.
I would go to all the target areas that interest you but here in Xela is good and the locals are used to dealing with gringos, but I would seriously check out the Coban area Peten might be a little more dangerous.
Is so beautiful and rich the United Kingdom of Guatemala established since 1609 and that extends from El Soconusco (today Chiapas) to part of Panama. Guatemala is 12th producer of silver in the world and 20th producer of gold besides having massive reserves of nickel, jade and so many other natural resources too bad for almost a century big foreign multinational corporations have been taking almost everything. The Malvinas belong to Argentina, The Esequibo belongs to Venezuela and Belice belongs to Guatemala. God bless
So basically is like you giving tips to go to a country if they have “legal” problems. I thought I was coming to see a video with information but this sounds more like an idea to scape from a country where you have problems.
I like it, I had an MRI last month it was 120USD I think at a private clinic. I like the healthcare and cant complain. I have had stitches too, it was free. I can rember what my glasses cost.
@@jhonnyfromme2109 Great video and great information. I’m heading to Guatemala in October for a visit. Guatemala is my #1 on my plan B list. The “pandemic” has made things a bit of a challenge. Upside is cheaper plane tickets.

There is not such thing like privacy anywhere in the world. I don"t understand what are you hidden why so much mystery. Do you pay taxes in Guatemala or in your country?
@@jhonnyfromme2109 I'm going to go to Guatemala in February... in your opinion how's the covid situation there and do you see Guatemala facing another lockdown?
@@ajw_3153 The situation is ok and more or less back to normal I dont see them locking down again, that was to unpopular and I doubt they could get away with it.
Guatemala is expensive and there are killings and robbers in certain Zone areas of Guatemala... don't travel at night especially through the Campos It's not safe. There is more but whoever is from Guatemala wants to hear good things but never bad...Too much traffic everywhere and motorcycles driving between cars ridiculous! Good Luck...

@@jhonnyfromme2109 hey i just wen to guatemala this year and it was the best experience of my life. my parents are from there so i already had a place to stay. work wise, is it worth working in guatemala or in the U.S ? i really enjoyed being in guatemala
@@jhonnyfromme2109 oh what kind of work do they do online ? Guatemala was really amazing stay. only reason i came back to the U.S was home sickness but my dad said there's more freedom in guatemala compared to the U.S and i think he has a strong point there.
Good question, mainly its because depending on how you were educated you will refer to Central America if you grew up in the States, or if in the U.K. you'll say South America, its just the way I was educated and its become a habit.
