@@NOTLeavingLV SHOWING ID ... after reading all of the COMMENTS for this video I do think it would be in the best interest of YOUR VIEWERS to KNOW WHY they should NOT show their ID unless there is a LEGAL REQUIREMENT to do so! Viewers here feel that showing ID is "no big deal." In fact, both FEDERAL and STATE laws should be established as to PREVENT these CASINOS and any other business from taking an IMAGE of FEDERAL and STATE GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID CARDS for storage in their database ... when you join to have a PLAYERS CARD, etc. Considering the HACK that just happened in Las Vegas and to the CASINOS on the Strip ... perhaps HACKERS now having an IMAGE of those GOVERNMENT ID CARDS!!! Like you ... I would have LEFT THE CASINO ("no questions asked") as well before I would provide them ID only knowing it would be captured in their database for future reference. AGAIN, I think if you did a VIDEO on this TOPIC it would become IMPORTANT KNOWLEDGE for YOUR VIEWERS.

Well jeez, I was expecting a bit more of an incident than THAT lol. The guy just asked you something and you said "I'll just leave," and started to leave. I have to admit if I was a security guy that would have made me wonder what you were up to in there (seemed like you were a little more rude than he was). But for what it's worth, I got kicked out of Caesar's Palace by some rude overweight female African-American security guard because I wasn't wearing a facemask while making my way to the Strip via the Forum Shops. She told me I had to have a mask on, but I didn't have one (couldn't beleive they were still making people wear masks in the casino)...so I said, "Ok, I'm leaving anyway." She followed me and told me I had better leave and don't ever come back! WTF! Just because I didn't have a mask on. BUT.... am I ever going to go back to Caesar's??? YES. I'm not going to let that lady ruin my fun. Sorry if I seemed rough on you for saying that you seemed rude to the Fountain Blue guy... I really do enjoy watching your streams when I catch them, and I think you're a good guy. Just think you blew that out of proportion. In fact, if this was the same trip, I recall you goin up that escalator (after noticing the big picture) and being surprised how long the escalators were.... and you even said that you were probably gonna get kicked out for sure because you were up in the big conference areas all alone. I think you just had expectations of being kicked out and when it did happen you took it way to hard. Well good luck buddy, hope your day is better :)

Although based strictly on the video footage and audio itself I agree with you..................I will add that there's still a divide of sorts between how an exchange must feel in-person compared to observing it from a distance in recorded form. So I don't want to discount those nuances in encounters like this. But yeah: at least based on the footage I don't feel the security staff-person was unnecessarily aggressive.

I've heard mostly excellent reviews regarding their customer service thus far. I'll offer my honest take when I stay there in August, but yeah: it has a LOT of work to do working out the kinks and ironing out the creases, but that's typical with ANY new resort in its first eighteen months of operation. I still recall when the Cosmopolitan had a slow start of its own, and now here we are some fifteen years later or so and it's often regarded as the hottest resort on the Strip. Not guaranteeing Fontainebleau will follow suit of course, but every new resort needs time and leniency.

I'm calling BS on this one Steven. You even mentioned that you may get kicked out because you were sure they were watching you while you roamed the empty convention areas. To be fair, you had no business going out on that balcony area and helping yourself to the water that was obviously set up for some event past or in the future. I bet if you had kept to the casino and restaurants areas, you wouldn't have been approached in the manner that you were. You knew fully well that you were acting sketchy in their property.

Exactly. Plus he kept saying when walking to the resort how Fontainebleau is a $3.7 billion disaster in the desert: which regardless if it is ultimately proven to be one or not over time, to me implies he wanted to cause some sort of stir or perhaps play the role of martyr by testing everyone there. Do the properties view a live stream as being a lot different from just recording a video? Norma Geli did one of her 24 hour videos where she and a friend stayed overnight at the property. She did not appear to have any troubles at all in filming a video there with her cameraman. It was a very enjoyable video to watch about the property. Of course, her videos are a lot different than your videos. That's why I watch both channels. Had you stayed in the more populated areas of the property would they have kicked you out?

I really enjoyed the Fontainebleau in Florida, so I booked for the Vegas location in August. I’m sorry for the poor interaction with the security guard. It was unnecessary & rude. You touched on Vegas being a different market than Miami which is probably why they’re having such difficult growing pains.

My husband and I went there yesterday and was made to feel very uncomfortable. We just went to play a few slots and check out the hotel. We don't take out our phones while in the casinos except to check messages. There weren't very many people there but a ton of security. The security, etc. kept walking around us and would stand and watch us play. I have noticed a lot of security standing around at other new casinos but they never hover around us or make us feel uncomfortable. Maybe we weren't dressed up enough or look like we were made of money. I think employees get bored when it is down time there so they over do it when someone like us shows up. We decided we wouldn't step foot in there again. If we want to go to a newer casino we will stick with Resort World or Durango, etc. On a side note, it is very beautiful inside.

I went to Reno last fall and if you are a gambler that is the best bang for your buck. 93 percent paybacks on slots makes it alot more fun! They relaxed on the prices and the kick-outs of normal people. Now they are giving away free-play, steep discounts and gifts to just get anyone in the door. When and where did Dreamscape EVER say that in a press release or anywhere? That's simply not true. Their CEO Eric Birnbaum, in his own words, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal last year: "We’re really not looking to compete and get in a knife fight with the Wynns of the world. Our goal is not to win on price and undercut the market by being the cheapest out there by any stretch of the imagination. What we’re really trying to do is balance value for experience. When I look at the market and look at who is focused on that, I find it very hard to find a real true competitor.”

Wow! Coming from a background in hospitality, I sure wouldn't want to work there with so many executives leaving. What really baffles me is that twenty years ago, experts on Travel Channel said psychologically people prefer to be in smaller spaces with lower ceilings. They remarked how people will walk through the bigger casinos to look around but will ultimately spend far more money gambling in the smaller casinos because they're more comfortable in those. I realized after watching that that I indeed preferred to gamble in the smaller casinos. I don't understand why they keep building these monstrosities that are like huge vacant shopping malls. I have no desire to go into Fountain Bleu nor Resorts World, etc. In my opinion, it was a huge mistake getting rid of Stardust and a lot of other iconic places. I wish Vegas was still geared toward the average person and comfortable and affordable.

I'm a low level player, a Caesars Diamond Elite player, think a solid green to black level. I was disrespected to, when I said I didn't want a players card at a dice table. Like you, I will not be back. They seem to only want elite level players. I am OK with that, I will not be back. Caesars, Circa and Cosmo are far better gambling venues.

I heard Fontainbleau having all sorts of problems, no desire to go. Now for sure no desire to go. Yah, they will have to clean up their act. I heard that property is cursed anyway. And if I ever want the real "skinny"...I tune to 'Not Leaving Las Vegas'. In my opinion, made a big mistake catering to elitism and high rollers, I don't think that was the original idea. People are hungry for a decent gamble and reasonable room rates and food and comps. I hear constant complaints on the strip prices, $20 for a burger, $25 a day to park, $25 minimum on craps and roulette. Who can blame them?

That rent-a-cop obviously failed the customer service section of the training program. We've been to Vegas twice since that over hyped, over priced place opened and have planned to visit the place, but we've run out of time. This video sealed the deal, we'll never set foot in that place.

Just out of curiosity, what would have happened if he would have cooperated, and shown the security guy his ID? What would he have done with that info? I am having a hard time understanding what the big deal is with showing a security person your ID?
@NOTLeavingLV
@NOTLeavingLV 5 месяцев назад
I would have been asked to look up, they would have taken a nice clean photo of my face, then he would explain to me that I was officially banned from all of their properties. The asking for the ID is just a sign they are banning you. I know this because before I was "fake banned" from venetian when I worked timeshare. They never actually put me on a list, and since then I have been very respectful not to end up that way.
@justinbryson352

@@NOTLeavingLV Oh, that is just horrible, and very interesting at the same time. To ban a person just for Vlogging, and showing off their beautiful property. I think that they should have been very thankful, and that they should have comped you free nights, instead of banning you. I just think that is just crazy. I hope they run out of business. Horrible people. I really like your videos. You seem like a very smart person. I wish you the best.

Steven... Personally, I would not have shown my ID either, but I would have stopped and asked the guard what the issue was. You assume he was going to ban you, but you don't even know why. You left on your own, without even knowing why you were leaving. Just my opinion.
@NOTLeavingLV
@NOTLeavingLV 4 месяца назад
@@mmantei1 I really do need to make a follow up video because I wasn’t clear in this one which is my own failing. There’s no reason for anyone to randomly ask you for an ID. Think about it. The cops don’t randomly ask you for an ID unless they really need to know who you are. in the case of the casino generally you only asked for an identification in a few cases. One is where you look under age and you’re drinking or gambling. Case two is where you are doing something so against the rules like having a fight or maybe they suspect you of cheating the casino. Case number three is where they want to read you the trespassing act because they want to get rid of you and the only way to properly do that is to have your photo ID registered so they can Confirm and then detain Metro at a later time or maybe even on the spot if it’s really extreme

In order to get banned from a casino they have to serve you a letter first,and if they don't have your address than they can't serve you, usually they send you a certified mail so you have to sign it at the post office and or go get it at the post office and sign in order to get their mail.I believe the post office won't let you know from who the letter comes until you sign it and give that piece of mail to you.And as far as i know,if your banned from one casino in Vegas than your banned to all the rest of vegas casinos,thats why many people when they lose in casinos in Vegas they keep their cool and try not to say out loud that the slot machines are tight,just in case the staff or managers get to hear what your saying and try to make you leave ,luckily I have never been banned from Vegas Casino going there off and on for over 10 years,but I have seen a couple of videos where celebrities been sacked by security guards literally tossed on the streets after losing all their money in the casinos,and 3 major high roller got banned from beating the house, especially blackjack counting cards too.

Sadly I feel this is what Vegas is becoming, the “value” customer is not wanted anymore. The town is doing great now but the time will come when the traveler from California who would visit 6-10 a year will be missed. Throw in beautiful but cold properties like RW and FB (gambling at RW is like gaming in a mall) and the time will come for the town to once again reinvent itself
