I feel Altair's arc in AC1 is kinda underappreciated... At the start of the game he's well skilled but arrogant and his overconfidence ends up ruining an important mission as well leading to the death of both brotherhood members and innocent people. He's stripped of his rank&status and has to earn it back, but throughout the game he learns to value and properly embody the tenets of the creed and becomes a true leader. Another thing I think AC1 and AC3 did pretty well was the villains. Most were trying to do good things but they were using evil means to accomplish them. It's especially heartbreaking in 3 because Connor does so much to help the Patriots and yet Washington screws him over in the end. Great video though! 😃 I have a lot of fond memories of AC2 and it would prolly be my fave if Brotherhood and 3 didn't exist😅

Great video. I love AC2, it will probably always be the best AC game to me. This is just one of those games I can play over and over again as I've probably beaten it 15 times. Also that Ezio's family theme is one of the best things I've ever heard.

When you have to sneak into the Vatican and kill the pope is by far the most intense, nerve racking mission in AC history! I also love Brotherhood and really really love Revelations and the way Desmonds story ended was insane and so emotional!

I really don't get how some people don't love the present day stuff. It's like 40% of the greatness of the world and story. They tossed it recently, and it's a damn shame, but it was great, the Isu stuff is amazing, the Abstergo stuff, Desmond, Shaun, Rebecca, Lucy, who doesn't love them? That was an excellent video, man, you keep getting better at this! Also, yeah, AC3 is fantastic too. And Black flag. And Odyssey. Yeah, Odyssey. It's one of the best in the series imho. Unity could have one of the series best too, but too many chests, a horrible technical lauch and a templar agent harrassing you every twelve steps is annoying. And the soundtrack, not just in AC2, is the best aspect of the entire series. The best OSTs being 2, Revelations (best main theme I've EVER heard), 3 and Unity. Oh boy, so many "and"/"also". I can't contain my love for this series. Can't wait to play the remaster!

Oh man, I loved watching Breaking Banter and JUST found out you have this channel (I rarely watch RU-vid, really). Also today I JUST thought what great games AC and AC II were. So this video is a massive hit for me, on every level of reality! AC II is super cool; especially I like entrance sequence and the music by Jesper Kyd, it's so good I even learnt how to play it on my piano. In terms of story structure, pacing and execution AC II is much much better than AC (but I love the first one too). I finished Ezio's trilogy and, sadly, never ever played other games (I guess my graphics card is not too good for those); I think Ezio's trilogy and Tommy Angelo's story from Mafia might be perfect examples how to build the story and the character in computer games, how to use historical settting cleverly and how to approach vast possibilities of a story taking place in the past. Thank you for your videos and I think I might be having great time enjoyng some other ones!

HiTop brought me here. Cool video man. Never finished the game, but I was glad to see my art history classes put to use. Made the game even more entertaining.

I stopped playing around unity and syndicate but I have fond memories of black flag, rouge, and AC2. I think I got pretty tired of the genre by then but I think I should replay II and III at some point. I did the last half of III over the course of one all nighter and honestly forgot what a lot of it was about.

It is the perfect game. And if you take Ezio's story beyond AC2, what's remarkable to me is not only the fact that it dealt with the maturation of a character, but how, at the end of all things, Ezio learned to accept that he wasn't meant to be remarkable at all. Where he started as your typical Renaissance man, convinced of his own greatness and flawed with hubris, he died in absolute humility.

Well, yeah. Assassin's Creed 2 is indeed the best Assassin's Creed game. In fact, I still have it installed on my PC.

Despite it's saturation over the years, this is still among my favorite series of all times, probably favoritist (it's a word, shut up) considering i've played them all but Rogue at least once. I was always a history buff so I was intrigued by the idea from the start. I just remember getting the first one and the first time you crest the hill and arrive at Damascus, that's right up there with the first time you get to the Citadel as awe inspiring moments that really captured what video games could do. PS Bring back berserk darts, i used to love sitting back and letting the brutes clear out areas for me

2009 sure its excellent compared to ac1 but now you can see they just "upgraded" everything. they didnt go for excellence
