Wow. I don’t watch Game of Thrones, but I’ll gladly watch the video again, and again.

I wish GRRM was able to complete his story so Benioff and Weiss could have continued to adapt from the source material as they did during the earlier seasons. To expect them to write at the same level of GRRM and at a quarter of the timeframe to produce the subsequent seasons is kinda silly. The later seasons could have really been a trainwreck, but I think they've done a pretty good job of keeping the boat afloat, albeit not perfect. It's still compelling television.

The thing I love is that it has such a great sense of a real world. Every place feels like they have their own culture and history and it’s fantastic.

It's quite interesting that you showed Brienne when mentioning the knights considering the fact that she wasn't a knight yet at the time this video was posted. But now she is officially the first female knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Great foreshadowing dude!

The reason *I* love GoT, which is instrumental to the entire show and has been of great quality throughout, is Ramin Djawadi's inspired soundtracks. It's like a living, breathing part of the show. Especially in season 8 (so far) there are subtle themes related to characters and houses that he weaves and combines into new shapes. If ever someone talented enough has the guts to attempt to film Tolkien's Silmarillion, in which sound and song should play a major role, then this is the kind of composing it would deserve!

I am a bit late to this video but this was so emotional and well-done. The way you articulated the whole central idea of these characters going through hell and back to try and do the right thing no matter what teared me up. And made me fall in love with this show and these characters even more than I was.

Because even the worst episode ( beyond the wall) still has entertaining lines and epic action and the best episodes have amazing acting, characters, an unpredictable story, realistic politics , epic action, it feels like a movie, and when they kill characters it actually matters.

The only thing that is a shame is the writing of the last few seasons. It undermines a lot, raises a lot of people to the top unjustly without a fair redemption arch, just because they suffered, not matter what they did in the past. Took away our sense of danger, and took away from the game of thrones. But still, it's a show i love.

Is the La La Land video still happening?

I feel like I am one of the few people in the world that is actually satisfied with how this series ended. It was not perfect and over the top and that was the whole point. There is a reason Game of Thrones stands out from the rest. I feel like the heart of the series was lost on too many people and it is truly disappointing to see how everyone has turned on the directors. A rewrite is offensive, not recognizing what brought Danny to episode 5 is ridiculous and I'm really understanding just how basic most people can be. Trust, the series is not so complex for most people and I feel like these undertones were hardly noticed or appreciated by the masses. This, for me, explains the backlash....mind you I have no idea if you enjoyed the final season but this video does highlight, I think, some of the core details from the series that went over a lot of people's heads and pretty much sets the tone for why season 8 went the way it did. Great video.

I liked seasons 1-4. That being said however, seasons 5-7 and possibly season 8 are objectively worse written and the plots are of lesser quality than early seasons. NO character in the series had any plot armor to save them from meeting their maker, but characters who realistically probably should be dead because their bad decisions are in fact not dead, because they now have plot armor. I like Jon Snow for example since he is the quintessential underdog character. But, there is absolutely no denying that the character as of seasons 6 and 7 has ungodly amounts of plot armor! Jon should have been dead in the episodes of "Battle of the Bastard" and "Beyond The Wall" after falling through the ice. I wish the writing had the same stakes, tension and suspense that say Seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4 had.

as much as i adore this show overall i could never rewatch the later seasons knowing how boring all the characters become, i dreaded Tyrion and Jon being on screen in the latest season

i felt even more for the death of Robb than even Ned's stark maybe cos of the way it happened and cos it felt a lot more unexpected .. but i still do love GOT as a whole, i didn't necessarily DESPISED the last season like so many did out there but i could understand why many were so disappointed is a mix of people having the highest expectations missing with the fact that sadly the show truly got rushed beyond believe but how or why they won't just do their absolute best to bring a truly satisfying conclusion? well i can say i did like the last moment of the least episode cos to me was cool to see Jon back to his roots and what he was always meant to be a Ranger who guard the land, the ranger who refused to be a king or didn't want that kind of power (really very ARAGORN inspired if you ask me) i can understand that so many had the highest expectation from this show cos it truly was amazing to see how beloved this became and for many it was more beloved than life itself but that is how the biggest disappointments comes to happen one of my favorite episodes will always be HARD HOME and i will always love the chemistry between JON & THE BEAUTIFUL RED HAIR WILDING YGRITTE hated so much to see her go and the way she did fuck that stupid little shit ranger wannabe kid
