It would be cheaper to just buy and install an oil cooler. Your car is reliable which is a great car!!! It is also the lightest Mustang in weight. So add your mods and pay your payment down and you should have 20 years of additional Mustang fun!!! Dealership ADM (additional dealer markup), is going away with the shitty inflation caused by biden!!! So new car prices will continue to rise!!! Keep your car and get the oil cooler and then when ready install the Whipple 3.0 Stage II SC‼️‼️👍👊💪🇺🇸
He's absolutely right. I've had both. My first 24 was a performance pack 10 speed, my second is a base 10 speed, and I'll tell you the base is the better choice and like @gordydexter2615 said performance packs are heavy I weighed mine it was 4k pounds. Just put boost on you current mustang and add a cooler trust me.
If I’m buying an S650 and a daily driver, it’s a PP1 with a 10R80. I love my 6-piston Brembos so much that I won’t buy another Mustang without them. Power adder with the A10 and how it shifts at the power level of the blower is just nuts.
I believe even the performance packs are having some oil temp issues when being pushed. Best bet is to pull the front bumper off, install in an aftermarket oil cooler and then delete the active shutters behind the bumper to get maximum airflow to the cooler and radiator. Thats what most track guys do on base S550s
That’s what I’ve been waiting for but could be a few years unfortunately. Hope not tho. Not trying to go another summer with this especially with boost lol
Man that oil temp issue is crazy for it being a GT. My car is tuned an pushing a lot of boost out for a 4 cylinder and mine maybe will hit 210 after a few pulls. I love the S650 a lot but man that’s wild, I’d definitely get the performance pack in that case. Unfortunately the performance pack is gonna be a lot more expensive for 2025
Buying the upgraded models like PP or Darkhorse is always smarter because the coolers trans even programming is better and cheaper than if you did part by part installed , plus warranty plus not adding much to payments as you feel after in the wallet catching up IMO
The traditional approach is to try to hold oil temperatures between 230 and 260 degrees. Even on a short-duration, drag-only combo where oil is frequently changed, you would not want to routinely see oil temps under 200 degrees
I thought about a base and said why not get what I really want. 2024 S650 401A premium, performance pack, magna ride, valved exhaust and 10 speed auto. I love the car and its a blast to drive!
The issue is more sure losing oil pressure first before the oil breaking down, it’s the same thing with the FRS, all you need is a proper oil cooler and the car would be good to go, also makes more sense modifying a base since it’s cheaper
I would do a cost breakdown of the parts on the performance pack that you want and compare it to how much you'll lose when you trade in your car. Just make sure it makes sense.
Adding in the other parts I’d also gain trading in it would be worth it BUT it would have to be a decent deal and rn there aren’t many Performance Packs with what I want for sale!
That's why when I bought my mustang GT 2024 I paid more to have the performance package because if you buy a base model and start modifying will end up costing more you can find 2024 model with discount at the dealerships but you will loose a lot trading in your mustang but that's life do what makes you happy plus will be good for your channel good luck
Can stand. Synthetic motor oil can withstand higher temperatures than mineral-based oils without breaking down or oxidizing. Most mineral-based oils can only handle temperatures up to 250-300°F, while synthetic oils can handle temperatures of up to 450°F or even 700°F. For example, Mobil 1 advanced synthetic motor oil can protect engines at temperatures up to 500°F.
@@EarsPOV I just double checked and you can easily push fully synthetic oil to 270-350F range without turbo set up. There are oils that can take. Regular oil can take 250 to 300F. There are synthetic oils that can take 400F. If you get turbo or supercharged use better oil. The one you are using in you mustang is totally fine, you can take it above 270f without cooling it during lower rpms. No need to worry about that.
Honestly getting rid of rhe car for an oil cooler.. bro.. you will go upside down on your car. Just get an oil cooler.. save ALOT of money. You are making a teenager decision here. Get some coil overs, a strut brace and an oil cooler. Dont need performance pack Only time I'd do it is if Ford drops the Tremec in the GTs. Then I'd trade it day one.
@@EarsPOV my friend own base GT, non performance, he floors it like a maniac all the time without any cooling time for the oil and his car never went into limp mode.
That’s insane.. are people only experiencing this with the manuals? I have a 10speed living in Louisiana heat/humidity and I always have that screen on… and even after having fun lol I only get as high as 228-230 then I chill out… When i bought it, it was very cool outside I felt like never passed 210-ish(the teens) after having fun
Autos too. I see this on the FB pages very frequently now. If I were to do 2 Dragy hits in 90+ degree temps within a minute I’m hitting over 260. That’s not normal idc what people say.
I’m looking into becoming a first time s650 owner and after hearing you say even on a normal drive trying to pass a vehicle oil temp gets hot (maybe I heard wrong) making me reconsider on purchasing one. Maybe y’all who own one and daily drive one could prob give me more feed back if it’s a good reliable vehicle and if it’s worth it(exclude the recalls they have)
I daily drive this car. That’s why it’s still pretty much stock. A lot are saying the 250+ temps are fine tho so we’ll see lol I’m not gonna let it get that hot tho.
@@EarsPOV I heard if you have gap insurance on the vehicle and do intent to sell what ever you owe on the vehicle the gap insurance covers the rest. Maybe try looking into that and see if it does then try selling it at carmax you will prob get a better deal by them then you would at a dealer.
Hey bro, love your videos. I'm really leaning towards a Mustang GT premium with performance package and magnaride suspension, with active exhaust, paint matched brake calipers. I'm a big guy though at 6'2 285 pounds. Wondering your size so i can get a general idea of how i would fit? I'm between the Mustang and an Acura Integra type S. What's your height and weight? And does the seat go back quite a ways? Thanks man keep up the good work
@@EarsPOV The traditional approach is to try to hold oil temperatures between 230 and 260 degrees. Even on a short-duration, drag-only combo where oil is frequently changed, you would not want to routinely see oil temps under 200 degrees, dont do it brotha im trying to save you time and money, you seem like a smart young man, but seriously your fine you can always add oil cooler if it really bothers you for under 700 bucks
It would be better if you kept the base model and built it to the car that you want it to be for RU-vid content instead of already buying a built car you can just make content building the car I’m thinking from a RU-vidr perspective but if you want to buy a performance then go head do what’s best for you
It a waste of money, you already put money into it already, and the value of it does not go up, dealer quote the vehicle by the model not what you put into it. things that will make you poor, a car will take most of your income.. after a couples year there be something else that hotter... I would not trade in for another model. You should thought of that when you brought it..
@@EarsPOV Say, you do a trade in. It be may worth it to you. To me it over price, but in reality for most people after 5 to 10 yrs from now, there be getting another car anyway, it a repetitive car buying.
Don’t worry about the temp just get some amsoil or some penzoil ultra platinum. Keep up with regular oil changes and so on. If it’s a real problem that’s why you have a warranty
Hahahaha hell no brotha iv owned performance gt and now base literally same thing you just wase your money, my buddy has gt performance pack and he runs around 230 same as my base your over thinking it
Hello bro, how are you? can you help me please I bought a Mustang with a manual transmission two weeks ago, but as soon as I put the transmission in 1 gear, a sound sometimes appears from the transmission, and on the 2gear as well, knowing that I press the clutch fully and the sound also appears, and with a feeling that the box when sound comes is a little rough is that normal? and sometimes no sound everything okay
