Moving is not fun at all , but you seem to have survived in good stead! Now you will be able to get comfortable in your new place. Your videos are a delight to watch, keep them coming.
You did a great job reasoning and deciding to move to apartment. I am glad you are comfortable with your new place. Good of you to give the couch away to your sister. I enjoy hearing how you face your challenges. Thank you !
Wow, I have had similar issues and conversations with my parents about renting a home versus renting an apartment or even owning a home and the added expense and hassle. Then an apartment renter since 1996. Thank you for this video more than you know.
We are so happy for you so glad you were able to get out of that house ..congratulations on your new place . Thank you for bringing us along , keep smiling and keep being you ..
Congratulations on your new apartment and looking forward to new videos! Ironically, we(my husband & I ) had to suddenly move out of our apartment in New York & moved in with our daughter in North Carolina! We were preparing for a move to NC anyway but not so fast. The former owners secretly sold our small apartment complex to an individual that suddenly raised our rent over $450. over our present rent or basically get out. We were not going to pay that rent so we got out! We felt that if rents are that much higher we would rather pay towards something we owned. We evened considered renting a house but it was owned by a corporation sounding much like what you experienced. They sounded very intrusive also. So we scratched that idea. But our real estate agent seems to have difficulty finding homes in our price range & needs. We just want a 3 bedroom 2 bath(with 1 bath having a low entrance into a shower. A fairly level surface lot & my husband wants a garage. I don't think that's much to ask for. We can only stay with our daughter 3 months according to her landlord. We've been here since September 1st and already feeling anxious about the whole situation. That's my story right now. Like I said, I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos and your lovely positivity. 😊
thank you so much for the kind words, and best of luck to you with finding a place and the big move! I'm sure it must be nice to be closer to your daughter now. :)
Hi, I'm always interested in what you use to adapt and what physical surroundings you prefer: ie, you used the TV tray, but now getting a new couch (very good decision), but what are dimrnensions like for bathroom? Wide door? Roll in shower with a seat? Grab rails by sink and toilet and bath area? Do you have laundry/washer dryer in your apartment? In a laundry room or in a closet? Is it an apartment style laundry unit that has a washer on the bottom and the dryer attached on top? Is there enough room in door way or turn around space in the laundry room area? I want to encourage you to protect your joints and muscles. You are young. But the more you can prevent over use and prevent any kind of repetitive motion that is hurting any joints, muscles or bones, you will age better with less loss of mobility by taking care now. Like some people take extra care to protect their skin from the sun, your protection won't come from a product, but a change in your movements, gait, etc with preventative exercises and mindful ways for being in motion. You remind me of myself at age 28. And the old saying "I wish I knew then what I know now" might have helped immensely in my independence and mobility. But since I eroded things that cannot be replaced, by over doing things, by over using certain parts just because I wanted to keep walking, I am now in a wheelchair. I still long to walk again and am in the process of exploring how to make that happen, I still feel " too young to be old." Wish me luck! I enjoy your posts. An attitude is something we can choose, unlike our physical challenges. We adapt. We strive. We are tenacious. Being willing to keep trying different things when certain therapists or doctors kind of resign themselves to us never being able to be fully able bodied is what will help in life. Or as I like to say "having a disability is not for wimps." Keep up your broadcasts and speaking engagements and keep taking care of you while you keep challenging the reasons behind obstacles from others. Become a disability advocate. Offer a paid service to go evaluate new businesses on their accessibilty, from door ways to turn around spaces, electric doors to enter/exit, heights of light switches, floor room transitions, all of it. It is amazing how naive able bodied persons are, especially lawmakers. I wish every person in charge of permits/construction/traveling for their job would have to spend one week in a wheelchair with no cheating. They would then understand. And hopefully do something about simple things that are obstacles that can be easily fixed! People will listen to you because you are a great communicator, knowledgeable, with a great smile and demeanor. Your beauty will continue to open doors for you---literally and figuratively-- Chelsea! Enjoy the new abode! Rest up from the stress of moving. It takes a lot of energy for everybody to move. Brava for not letting that stop you from fully living--where and however you choose to do so! 😊
Was wondering about your "downsize move." Makes sense after your explanation. I also lived in a place that never really seemed like "home." I felt like a new person when I finally moved out..!! I'm glad you're excited about your new place. Thank you for sharing. Have fun on your trip(s) Stay safe. Looking forward to your future posts.
Congratulations on your move into a place that’s better suited to you!! The lighting wasn’t bad, and no need to apologize. Can’t wait to see your future adventures and endeavors.
Sorry Chelsea that you had a bad experience at your last place congratulations on finding your new place I hope you and your roommate will be happy at your new apartment and I look forward to seeing more videos that you share about your experience thank you
Oh, whatever you do my friend is interesting you’re such an upbeat individual and what a beautiful lady beautiful smile. God bless you you’re gonna live a long happy life.
I don't blame you at all your young❤ you will enjoy all the amenities of an apartment. It looks very pretty I love the colors of the doors in your office. I think you are going to love it❤ I can't wait to see a tour. You are a very pretty Brown Eyed Girl❤😊❤ I will see you in the next video❤
You seem extremely happy with your move Chelsea, and I'm so pleased for you. I hope you will be very happy in your new home and I'll look forward to be being nosey 😊when you eventually upload a video to give us followers a guided tour around. In the meantime take care and keep smiling 💙. For your reference - I associate the colour blue with my favourite soccer team 'Chelsea FC', here in little ol' London, as that is the colour of their main playing kit, hence the blue 'Chelsea' heart.
Apartment building living is so much easier for physically disabled people for many reasons. You don't have to mow the lawn or shovel snow. You have no need to make repairs or even change a lightbulb because building maintenance can do that. Also elevators are extremely convenient. If you are lucky there is an indoor pool and exercise room. Changing a lightbulb is a challenge for me because of balance issues. When a bulb burns out that requiers me to stand on a chair I just call up maintenance and they are often there the same day. I supply the bulb and they change it.
On site maintenance and management make life much more mellow. I hope you landed in a newer building with blazing fast internet and good soundproofing.
Hey🎉Chelsea it's been a minuet, but wherever you move can be cool. Just to continue your POSITIVITY & ENCOURAGEMENT will continue to be supported. "Stay easy & Glarorous"🎉!
Thanks for all the updates. You have a beautiful voice. I could listen to you read about the migrating habits of the upside down flying grey speckled, red tailed, three headed Dragon and be completely mesmerized.....Too much ?
My name meghan i also have cerbelpaulsy you give me inspiration it hard that people who stare at me because i walk diffent to people . i live in Australian
So in the video you spoke of at least 4 things you can sue for AC big nono in Florida the Plumbing situation also the house would have been written plenty big fine from your city
Yes makes sense what you’re doing. I live in Lauderdale and have rented for a little over 10 years in 2 different places. Now granted it’s ridiculous what I pay in rent and I get told how I should just buy another house and as a Veteran I can even put zero down on something. I pay over 2 grand for a 1 bedroom now but my place is super nice and I’m still not sure if I want to stay down here or move back to the Midwest to be closer to family. I’m laying here with a broken foot/ankle/leg and family had to travel down here to help assist me and once I get out of surgery. It’s a 2 day drive for them to get to me. Yes I could pay a lot less in a mortgage and could sell after 3 years but I just have continued to stay in apartment because like you said, awesome gym etc etc etc. Also I don’t have to worry about lawn maintenance and can be away from here easily for a period of time if needed. I don’t have to worry about property taxes which are always crazy here in SoFLo. No Hurricane insurance (well at least on a house) and we know how insane insurance altogether is on homes down here right now anyway. I’m in my early 40’s and still not married yet and so it has just worked out the way it has. Don’t get me wrong I definitely do want a home of course eventually and had one in Coral Springs in the past, but when my relationship ended with the girlfriend I was with, we sold and I moved back to an apartment. I still don’t know exactly what my future plans are and what I want. Would think at my age I would have everything figured out by now but nope lol. You are still young and you and your friend are better off like you said in the long run, at least for now anyway. 👍🙏
I can't say it enough, you are a great person to share your experiences with your disabilities. Myself I find you a great way to inspire others. I hope you don't mind but I find you very beautiful with an excellent confidence.
You are so beautiful I say this because we are created in God's image continue reading your Bible asking God to give you a full recovery from your disability I'm here to confirm you Jesus Christ loves you
The RU-vid algorithm is working well for your channel. I’m in Portugal and I hope you enjoy your new home. Moving is so exhausting but it sounds like you made a great decision 🤗
I’m happy for you to have an easier place to live! And to live in a place where you can actually talk to a landlord or manager- so much better! Movers are wonderful help and worth every penny!!!
Hello Chelsea I love watching your videos your the best i have cerebral palsy I can't use my left hand at all all i can do is open my left hand and I have seizures all most every day day i have been have seizures for almost 21 years it will be on Thanksgiving day this year but your videos put a smile on my face even day no matter if I'm having a good day or a bad day and I walk with a limp because of my cerebral palsy.
thank you for sharing your story with me! I love to learn about who's on the other end of the screen haha I'm happy to bring a smile to your face. :) hope you had a great day today!
@@realchelseabearI had a great day today I didn't have any seizures but because of the seizure and my Cerebral palsy I have short term money and my eyesight is very bad.
Keep doing everything you can to stay as mobile as possible. That will always be a help. You may have to keep doing physical. Like weekly for the rest of your life. But know that you are worth it and you deserve a shot at living your best life, too. So don't give up or give in! Ask for others to help you get to your goals. Less seizures? What can help? The limp getting worse? What can be done to help? Don't just ask, demand that people who can help give 100% to you, because just for daily living, you have to give 300% of yourself. Sometime others forget that having CP does not mean you have no goals.
Congratulations on finding a new place that your happy with. I hope it all works out for ya'll. Cant wait for your new videos. You are such an amazing person and i really enjoy seeing you overcome issues and show the world it can be done. God bless you in your bew place and stay safe on your adventures.
If you can get in a building that has its' own maintenance dept., not only does it save you the difficulty of doing repairs yourself, but it saves you the hassle of choosing repair services, and a lot of money, cause apartments often provide maintenance and repairs for free.
Love to see an apartment tour! Noticed the lack of thresholds. Nice to easy move between rooms. Let us know if the floor is "slippery," how to get outside, etc.
@@realchelseabear I saw that on your video, that the big items are in place. I’m with you, I’m at the point in my life that if I moved… I’d have someone do the heavy duty work too. It has to be kinda cool tho , you have a fresh start. New place , new decorations and stuff
Not always a bad move. Live below your means. You have easier access. I make 90,000 a year and live in a studio. Don't regret it. Rent is 1,000 a month lol. I have vad habits like smoking or blue moon. Trust me. Apartment life isnt bad. Todays market is shit your ripped off if you buy
