@@zaclucarz I saw some of the comments and they were ridiculous, however, I asked myself as well why the RMK rather than say the SKS...but it's your sled, your channel, and your time. Thanks for the explanation though.
what ticked me off is when he said you really cant take a switchback assault off trail. lemme tell ya something ive out rode people with RMK's on my assault. the machine has 0 issues off trail in the deep stuff it all about how good of a rider you are im not saying im the best rider out there because im not but i go in the mountains twice a year with my assault and no problems what so ever the only downfall is steep hill climbs where its only a 144. Another note ive rode RMK's yes they are easy to get on there side but my assault is just as easy to get the bars in the snow or get it on its side to side hill.
@@zaclucarz u mean u have dirt and rock scratches I guess if daddy buys your stuff it dont matter witch road u drive your snowmobile down.... I live in north idaho where snowmobiling is a must not for shits and giggles we have feet and feet in my town so move to idaho if u wanna ride down the road
I actually kinda find it funny how people hate on you for owning an rmk. Like I understand you haven’t been riding in a ton of snow. Your just a diehard rider that wants to ride. You gotta Make the best outta what you got. Then, when you hit the powder all the haters are on the trail watching you have fun in the pow!!!
Finally someone understands me! I try to not let everyone comments get to me! I just want to ride when ever I get the chance to ride! I’ve got some trips planned where there is plenty of powder so at some point this winter Expect some real deep snow content! I try to make the best out of everything I got! Thanks for supporting me and understanding where I’m coming from!
As long as the sled makes you happy and rides amazing in deep snow or not that’s all that matters I have a 2017 freeride 137 with an 1 3/4 track rides perfect on and off trail I’m happy with it like today i took it out in like 3 inches of snow the sled still rides the same feels the same so as long as your happy and sled is performing great that’s all that matters keep up the good work zac love the videos man
Hey Zack any content is better is better than no content I just enjoy anything snowmobiling keep it up and don't mind the jelous broke hater's I'd like twice if I could
Content is going to keep coming! Some of it is going to be garage content because of lack of snow! And I don’t let them phase me! Thanks for the support!
We love the videos around there because your demonstrating how we can have fun around our homes like Mn for example, The content produced is great because no one else makes these kind of videos, All of the mountain clips all look the same.
Hey Zack, I know where your coming from . I have a Rush that on the trails is like being on rails . But my RMK is just a blast to ride . I wouldn't want to give up either one .
The sks it the same sled. It would have been a better choice these don’t corner at all. Sks has two different adjustments for ski stance can be set the exact same as the pro rmk or two inches wider for more trail riding
I wanted to comment something mean cuz what your saying you can do to a sled thats more capable for your area. Do your self a favor. Get a shorter sled. Like an assault.. Or a new xc with a tall lug option. Your letting alot sled off the table. You can re gear a trail sled. You can narrow up the front of a trail sled. Your moms dragon, its not a good trail sled compared to what exists today. A new trail sled with re gearing, changing up the front end I think will give you the best of both worlds for you. You live in the land of trails and low snow. Give a trail sled with back country add ons a real chance. I'm just saying this because a guy I work with was an iqr guy through and through. His ego wouldnt let him have any less. He had all the attributes only the iqr had, blah blah blah. He got on a axys pro s for a weekend. Got to play with the suspension. He sold his iqr when he got back and kept the axys pro s switch back. He loves it. It does everything he wanted, got to keep the iqr attributes and get rid of the qualities the iqr just didnt do so well. People may seem like haters on you, but they know sleds exist that will give you what you want... But give you more too. More than you can know.
Not hating just saying. You could get a snowmobile with a short track and put narrower a arms and get that tippy nimble affect that you do with the pro. Keep up the vids bro.
Thanks for the explanation. Although you didn’t have to explain yourself I’m glad you did cause I often wondered why your riding a deep powder sled on trails lol. I love your videos keep it up buddy
If I had a new 2019 I would do whatever I needed to to get up to the steep and deep stuff. No excuses, jus get your lazy ass to the deep snow. I'm cringing jus waiting for those paddles to tear right off your track from riding on god damn pavement.
Have you been considering a sks 155? I have one and its a blast, handles exactly like a pro rmk but the only difference is more cooling and a little bit heavier otherwise its the exactly same sled
Owned a SKS in 2017. Loved it. I have since gotten a RMK 850. SKS is a mere mirror image of rmk with a few differences, Like xxxtenticals said. It has a chain case. Yeah, rmk has more ''tork'' but its not by that much. ALso the A arms on sks arent as strong as the RMK. RMK = spesificly made for deep snow mountain climbing. SKS = All around snowmobile that can also ride in very deep snow and mountain climbing. even tho rmk does have its advantages in the mountains, it has its disadvantages during warm weather/low snow.
Did you call the SKS a trail snowmobile? Does a trail snomobile need a indentical track to the RMK? There are so few things different on a SKS. I mean, no hate i love the RMK, and have one myself. But i used to ride a 2017 sks. Only thing different is the suspension. And the cooling. People say the A arms are completely different, but that is because it made from a mold, not hardened steel like rmk. I understand your liking of the RMK, but i still think its a bit overkill to ride on no sno. Its a machine made to climb the highest mountains, with the deepest snow. It doesnt have the acceleration as other sleds, or top speed. Thats what trail snowmobiles are going for. Highspeed, high acceleration.
people if your gonna rip lugs and stuff everything is replaceable. great video, time to come up to the UP the snow is deep waste deep if you take a step of the sled
I can’t freakin wait to get back up there! I’ve been seeing your posts on Instagram and I’m dying to get up there! Soon enough hopefully the end of this month!
Zac Lucarz i was hyped for a second 😂 i may be getting a 850 switchback assault next year and only live like 90 minutes away from you so maybe we could meet up and do a test drive bro
Good for you I bought a new 14 xf turbo and barely got to use it because of work and the snow in my area ossipee nh but it ripped and made me happy do you life’s short I can’t wait to get a sks
I think this is the best video I’ve seen you put out yet. Don’t forget to explain how a long track is a Much smoother ride. Long track is the way to go. For us old farts with bad backs anyways LOL. I guess it could keep your back from being bad to LOL
Come up to northwestern ontario Canada..we got a good 4 feet of snow and just got another 10" today..but it also -40..and we have snow 7 months of the year
Just put the sks track on it best of both worlds then. That paddle your running will ware out fast on hard trails. If you like rmk then you should buy rmk period.
Tear it up my man who cares if you ride in 6inches of snow as long as your having fun everyone else that's hating is just jealous couse they want one and can't have one you have every right to own any sled you want I ride in the u.p my entire life paisdale south range toivola there are spots were no dam Indy will go if you can you won't be having fun tear it up my man
I have a serious question I never had a snowmobile I rode two times on some old ones I don’t know anything about them but my main question was RMK they look really good to me than the other slides but can you really ride them through trails I know they are a mountain slide but how does that really handle the trails like groomed trails like I really have my mind set up to get one but I don’t know how it’s going to perform and groom the trails that’s why I am asking you for your honest opinion how do you Really think how does it handle on groomed trail
It overheats heats dude! How can you say that you like that? I own one they just get so hot on the trail and with no snow. He doesn't explain any of that. How he has to constantly monitor the temperature. Not fun
bro i got a. 2000 polaris xc 500 121" track for 4 feet of powder. yet you drive a rmk in half a foot 🤦♂️ stupid flatlanders. might aswell buy a four wheeler. daddy's money buys you brand new stuff.
Buys rmk, works more to make payments, therefore cant ride because of work. logic 101 rite here. dude how can you justify a new sled and ride it a dozen times a year. I alternate between a new trail and mountain sled every year but ride almost 2000 miles a year combined between Wyoming and Michigan.
@@amanwithnoname6948 I live in Lander and riding in Yellowstone is a distant memory... All you can do now is a 4stroke trail ride can't ride off of the trail....
@@amanwithnoname6948 you might look into riding the snowy mtn range Saratoga area way better than a trail parade in Yellowstone....... haven't been able to ride off of the trail in almost 20 years.......from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠
I would love to try out a 2019 Assault! My friend has a 2014 600 Assualt but I’d love to ride the 2019 with the 850 motor! And I know it’s so sad we need more snow!
You say that you cant ride a trail sled off trail yet I rode last weekend in the trees with 4+ft of powder in Houghton and I kept up with an alpha one, pro rmk 850 and a summit x 850. And I have a 01 mxz 600 with just s 1&3/4" track,no sway bar, and better shocks that's about it and I make it up any hills the mountain sled go in the U.P so it's not impossible
