As a Ugandan, Nigeria was synonymous to conmanship, trickery, disrespect, jujus, arrogance, etc. to me before I met and lived with some Nigerian students in Rome. Having lived with these students and worked among some Nigerians in Birmingham, these fellows are among the top ranking Africans in everything positive about Africa: hard working, God-fearing, assertive in face of negative racial and coloniall legacy; largely intellectual, humane, honest and joly people. Nigeria has more positive vibes than negative. And one fact is that not all that the western world says about Nigeria is honest. It's because one can not just dominate and exploit a true Nigerian. These guys know 'what' they want and can largely identify the 'how' to it.

I can't agree more...the world has labelled Nigeria with all sorts of negativity and working and living with some and visiting Nigeria has given me a whole new perspective of Nigeria and its people.... They strive to achieve the best out of life, they are hard workers...and inspiration is what am getting from most...

When a foreigner is saying positives about your country, and you the citizen could only say negatives and pull your country down. Are you guys not even tired of all these negativity? You were born in these negativity, and yet you still wan to wallow and die there. You can never make it if you have a wrong attitude. Go out there and do something for yourself. People like you the lazy ones are the one that complain. You have only one country, that's why your lineage and root are, ao join the revolution and fix it and make it work for yourself. It's a shame that generators are so popular. Small ghana get light o, Kenya get light, Tanzania get light even iraq and Afghanistan where war dey for a long time still dey light up everywhere.

@@DE-hi9mc Chill out , there's no point in resorting to personal abuses, it only demonstrates your inability to engage in a public debate, just because someone hold a different view to yours, it doesn't make them wrong or right. I know maintaining a civilised debate is a serious challenge for many Africans, but I'll try and respond to you. Not necessarily because your comment deserve one. I maintain that that there's nothing great about Nigeria. Nigeria is a country riddled with corruption from top to bottom. No electricity, no water, endemic corruption in the police, and the justice system is in a diabolical state, our politicians are a bunch of illiterate non-entities, the education system can be described as in nonexistence; name one thing that works in the Nigerian state? Nothing, and I repeat, nothing works in Nigeria. Wode Maya is just 21 years old African boy with lots of energy and dedication, I listened to him and while he he makes some sense in this video, his inexperience was manifest in this video and I make no criticism of that. I'll go and live in Nigeria for a while before making disparaging comments about a Nigerian who has knowledge of the system over there. PS: I'll also read a book or two about how to maintain a civil discussion online.

Everyone, take note, where your blessings are is, is where most people will discourage you from going. MTN Came to Naija with sub standard installations and facilities and grew and blossommed most in the country they were told unspeakable negativities about. They had to go back to the drawing board to properly re-invest in Naija by reason of tremendous returns on investment. Wode Maya and Trudy grew, blossomed, and received unprecedented hospitality, and publicity in the country they were told unspeakable lies & negative stereotypes about. Wode Maya like MTN came ill equiped with less camera out of fear. People, the list is endless industries, corporations, Nations, Churches, NGOs, Construction Companies, Manufacturers, Traders, Exporters, Car Manufacturers and dealers, you name it, that blossommed beyond compare in Nigeria even more than they do/did in their home countries. Nigeria is blessed biko. This is Gods' own Nation. Unfortunately, her (Nigeria's) beneficiaries start or/and continue (sometimes even sponsor) the negativity againt her, or just keep quiet about their gains. Kudos to Wode Maya & Miss Trudy who have not towed this path, True son & daughter of the land, that does not bite the hands that feed/fed them, they have promptly thanked and promoted our father land. I pray for you two, the God that created Nigeria & Nigerians and blessed us without measure in human, intellectual and natural resources would bless you and the works of your hands. That which you have benefitted from this Nation would be the least you would ever continue to receive, because, this blessing will continues to command more unprecedented blessings from well-meaning individuals, Corporations, and Nations in your favour. You will never be targetted or used to negatively shame any person/s or nation. As you have promoted our father and motherland, God will promote you and yours. The Good Lord bless you two and all Nigerians , youtubers and individuals, & corporations instrumental to bringing this to pass. Again God bless you all, Amen. @Wodemaya & Miss Trudy, following this vlog, I am self appointing myself as your War Against Negative Publicity (WANP) Officer. Any Negativity (Direct or Implied)on your vlogs or against our father and motherland would automatically get the WANP Warning and must apologise. Keep up the Good work, God bless you all.

Wode Maya is doing a good job. If you don’t talk positively about your country don’t expect anyone to come. Don’t expect anyone to do it for you. Even American, the UK and China have slums but the movies and the TV do not show these. I went to Mauritius for my honeymoon and you could tell that the people serving us were thugs and area boys but they were the most polite thugs that I had ever seen in my life. Helping us at every junction even when my wife lost her mobile phone they did not rest until it was recovered. When the day was over see how they cleaned the entire area. So even the thugs can understand that good behaviour brings tourism which puts food on their tables and money in their pockets. It all starts with a good image. Thanks wode maya. As you can see you don’t need millions in movie budgets to show what is going. Wode Maya does it with a camera and a drone. Well done guys.

And look at how foolish you sound. Who told you India has constant electricity? They have a very poor power supply. Hundreds of millions of them don’t even have access to electricity or water. They still shit on the streets. It’s like you watch too much Indian films. Visit the country for a harsh reality. Ghana and Kenya with less than 25 million people, are the same population as Lagos state. Lagos can have constant power but our power grid is shared amongst the 36 states. Hence frequent power outages. It’s not rocket science. Electricity ain’t cheap.

I have been lied to about Africa my whole life and I used to fear Africans because I thought they hate black people that don't speak African language but once I follow Wode Maya videos in China because I was interested in other cultures, I was so happy when Wode Maya started The Africa To The World Movement and traveling in Africa, now I have allot of Africans You-tubers like Miss Trudy favor and my interest in Africans and my interest in our ancestors grew. I learn that Africans are nice welcoming people and to not take their pride as hate towards you, I learn this by watching their videos and by going to an African Church here in the states. I feel like we black people do have a place we call home finally; I feel like Africa is this amazing mysterious culture and place to visit and learn from. Because of channels like Mode Maya and Miss Trudy is why many African Americans are visiting Africa.

I admire your honesty in regards to the Lagos airport and making all areas of Nigeria to look like Abuja, but you must tell Nigerians to end tribalism period and it will become the best country for all to live in and visit. Hope to meet you someday, if I visit Kenya soon, Miss Maya you are on my list of people to browse Nairobi with. Meanwhile, I'm forcing my kids to watch your journeys, as they are on their own learning curves.
