A couple of months ago Tesla released premium connectivity as a subscription service for $9.99/month and while many owners decided to subscribe to this service, lots preferred to keep that money in their pockets (like me). So in this video I'm going to be sharing with you exactly what premium connectivity is, how much premium connectivity costs, how to buy it, and tell you why I still won't buy premium connectivity in my Tesla Model 3.

I do use the video features when waiting by myself or with friends all the time. But I also really love the Satellite maps. I’d pay for premium connectivity just for satellite maps and live traffic. In some months, that’s all I’m paying for but I’m fine with it! Also love Spotify...and not having to turn on my iPhone hotspot and Wi-Fi in the car while in Drive mode!

I'll definitely pay for it when my free year expires. I love having sat maps and streaming media. I play Spotify all the time and watch RU-vid or Netflix whenever I'm waiting somewhere.

Try Tidal hifi So maybe you would be surprised by the sound quality, for example the dynamics of the sound Note Apple Music is also said to be coming to Tesla. it is also said that it is Dolby Atmos should I come to Tesla. I agree that an increase in recurring monthly cost is something that I also try to avoid (already have Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+, cellphone, spotify, internet, etc.) so adding one more is another expense that is recurring and FOREVER. BUT: I drive my car a lot and having easy access to spotify from the screen is super convenient. Also, live traffic visualization is always handy simply because of me driving all over the place. Great video, as always! Very informative and funny as well.

Jay ten dollars a month that’s all, just don’t have 2 coffees a month and that will pay for it or just cut down somewhere else and it’s paid for, or take ten bucks out of the girlfriends purse when she is asleep 😂

Hi, I own a "HUAWEI - 4G Travel LTE Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot"... do u think I can use this in a convenient way (not reconnecting manually all the time) for my future Tesla. I'm wondering if this is a better idea over the iPhone hotspot.

Phones now allow you to enable hotspots automatically when a specific BT is connected. I use that on my Samsung phone using routines.

I use Spotify too but I just sync my phone to my Tesla through Bluetooth and use it that way

I’ve been debating to subscribe to premium and decided to so can use Spotify, I don’t have a Spotify account so find it useful to use the voice assistant on my Tesla to play a song, it’s quite cool also will Netflix and yourube work without a subscription?

In Sweden you can have a free Spotify account without a subscription, and by that I mean listening at home

Once you stream hulu or RU-vid tv and sign in on your tesla you will keep it for $10. I get the news and can play a game on a long trip. I didn't think I would have use for it until I switched from cable to streaming. When you can stream anywhere including your car is a game changer. Passengers love it. Your video here does not touch on that at all. Its the whole thing

Do you know how to fix the rear view camera on the right side? because camera on the right side is totally black and I got a message said “autopilot Cameras unavailable features may be restored on next drive” and I did reboot everything it nothing happen

if you want the best possible sound quality, you should not transfer the music with Bluetooth. should you compress music that is already compressed. it doesn't sound so good In addition, Tesla probably doesn't have the best Bluetooth Codec such as LDAC or APTX HD. in addition, it is much easier to simply request a song or album by voice

He does not point out one thing the internet speed. should you listen to Tidal HiFi at 1400 kbps without buffering. by using the phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot. so it can be a problem for some people and expensive. far from all people have a mobile subscription with unlimited mobile surfing. what are some cases, it may even be the case that Tesslan has better coverage than what you have on your mobile phone. depending on which company Tesla has an agreement with. In Sweden, Tesla has an agreement with Telia, which means completely superb coverage even out in the bush

Good vid, thanks. Here because my premium trial period ended yesterday. Had I known that Tesla has turned into a conventional car company "Nickle and diming you" and performing at shall we say "minimum required levels", I probably would have bought that electric Porsche. Now I'm stuck and more than a little PO'd that Tesla is not what I've come to expect. Car came with a120v plug (120, not 240) who the F does that? (Ford GM). also found out the hardway that I had to order an additional board for $300 just to get into my garage. Tesla service is coming over in a week or so to find out why the car slams on the brakes every time a pickup comes down the street in his own lane. My first Model 3 did not do that... WHAT ELSE is going to come up????? Oh yeah, SUMMON - when does it work? ELON: go back to the old days and deliver more than expected...not the minimum.

Tesla has an agreement with a mobile operator, they do not have their own 4G network. Although Elon Musk also owns Starlink, which offers broadband via satellite. do you think someone signs a contract with Tesla without making money from it

You should not charge with a normal electrical plug, you should have a charging box or whatever it is called in your country. you also charge the car faster. Using a normal electrical socket can in the worst case cause a fire in your house. If the cables that go to an electrical outlet are not made for that much current

If you live in a country that is 120 V, it might not be so strange if someone has sent a cable for 120 V, but it is not recommended directly to use such a connection, in the worst case the cable can get too hot

Just bring your nintendo switch on the road trip. The way I see it is the Tesla games are more or less easter eggs as the computer isn't made with gaming in mind. Best t that sjust how I view it :)

If i wanted to use my phone data to pair it with my tesla and listen to music then i would have to pay a lot more than 10 usd a month. You did not convience me!
