I think they get mad at you for not chasing them because when they broke up with you they had it in their head that you would chase them - and if you don't - they get mad - its ego - they think they can break up with you to have one up on you - and then you actually let them go - and they feel unwanted cause you didn't chase. In other words the break up was intended to make you chase so they can feel validated - but when you didn't they actually feel rejected. WOW Mind games.

I used to chase my ex but then I went into no contact like 2 months later we I seen her in public with her new boyfriend and she kept asking me if I still got a problem with her I told her no I don’t as soon as I tried to get in my car she came to break my windshield. I don’t know why she would that if she’s “ happy”
My ex dumped me, ran to a new guy. Moved him in. Went and got family photos. Went on vacation with him. Rubbed it in my face. Constantly does little things to get reactions out of me such as" were going to our cabin this weekend" or Makes it known that she with him. I ignore it all. It isn't just women. Men do ugly shit too. It's disgusting. I left him and he tried to appear as if he had moved on. Trying to make me jealous and probably hoping I'd come begging for him to get back together. I didn't bother him. I was indifferent. I went my own way. Had him blocked on everything. Even had to get a restraining order. Even with all that, he still had resentment towards me still tried to slander me drag my name through the mud. I ignored him. Recently he went out of his way to make a fake profile on social media to harass me and make fun of my health. He's a pos.
My ex threw her son at me , after I told her life is short , since I worked front line covid these past 2 years . lost friends and almost lost family members . . I simply responded whatever your going through has nothing to do with me. Then she called twice during fathers day . Didn't pick up and been taking care of myself

My ex is very mean to me when I try to talk to him and try to get him back. When I go a few days without texting him or calling him he'll text me and make me think he still cares then he starts being mean again once I start texting and calling him again. We were together for 4 years and we've only been broken up for a month. He told me he doesn't love me anymore just because I tried to talk to him about things. He has been adding lots of girls on Facebook even after I let him know that it bothered me. He is sending mixed signals. He told me we would never get back together and I stopped trying to get him back and trying to talk to him for a few days then we ran into each other at a store and he smiled at me and he told me he hasn't started seeing anyone new then he says "But I'm sure you have" (even though I'm not) I just laughed and didn't say yes or no. The next day he texted me and said "Since you're seeing someone new don't worry about what I'm doing". I really don't know why he keeps doing this. I don't know if we're going to get back together. Please give me some advice on this!

Every time my ex sees me. He has to make a point to shout my name & has to be in my company..I try to be polite but I'm really not Interested. He told me how his new girlfriend is older than me and how she's gave him sexual experience before he came out with his friends and how she's out with her friends..I'm not Interested or want to hear this kind of thing as I think it's really disrespectful to his new lady and me.. My ex sent me a gift few days after I told him not to contact me ( he was leaving for another country and he said he wanted to be free there) now 3 weeks after(we still are in the no contact agreement),he reached me again and asked if I am using the gift, cause if not -he might need the money from it... Hi Chris, I have a similar situation except mine cut me off and refused to respond to me, after blaming me for him breaking up with me, and accusing me of things I didn't do. Two years later, he still won't speak to me. My question is: when it seems to be too late, and we got the timing all wrong just after the break up, what can we do?
