This song is a deeply personal song to him as he shared how he was feeling about himself and his music during a very difficult time. He has spoken about its release during his concerts saying it was the first time his song was all about him and his feelings and he was concerned it wouldn't be well received. After it stayed charting for a week he actually cried knowing his feelings were well received and that his song was relatable to his fans. He has also said he closes his eyes so that he can make it through the song without crying so that he can share it with his fans/audience with sincerity. This was a great reaction. Thank you! Your Song was the name of the program that was done by Jung Jae-il. He spot lighted several Korean artists, each with their own program. The series is great and all performances are worth watching.
Dr Mark, one of the reasons he closes his eyes, is he says with them open, sometimes the emotions are too much and it makes him cry. He pours his emotion into his voice and it's his desire to share the meaning of the song to his audience, but it's too much and gets to him sometimes.

He also said in an interview that he wants audience to be moved and hence puts soo much emotion into his songs because that is who he is. He loves songs that convey emotion
The ending: It's like Pavarotti staying in character long after he'd ceased singing. It sometimes seemed mannered, even an artifice for extra attention, but it was right. Hyoshin has been fortunate or knowledgable in his choice of pianist, who is just as important in his passionate unity with the singer as he was in Wildflower with the spotlight entirely on Mr. Park. This may be the very same man who played with Hyoshin then. They have produced Beauty here. The pianist is the same. Jung Jae-il. He is co-writer of Wildflower. He is a musical genius, composer, musician, director. He has written many soundtracks, most notably to Parasite the lastest Oscar winner. They have a close friendship and bond and together they are amazing at creating beautiful music.
