Why Is The Battlefront Collection SO BAD?!

The fact that this game’s size was bigger than Elden Ring makes this port even worse.

turns out that mod in the trailer was actually in the game on launch, there was an update to disable it, but it's still in the files as far as I'm aware.

All of this I could’ve forgave…and then you told me they changed the load in sound effects for BF1….that’s unforgivable.

I just realized it has been over a year since the dead space remake came out holy cow time flies when you're having fun.

What I remember from the launch of Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection was… how quiet it was. No servers, no lobbies with mics and a broken foundation.

Letting these guys re-release the OG Battlefronts is akin to Grove Street Games, a mobile game company, getting to handle the remasters of GTA Vice City and San Andreas. Wasted opportunities we'll never get again. We'll never get the things we truly want. Corporate greed simply can't allow them to give it to us.

Because it was made by Aspyr, the same company that could not put out a the KOTOR II restorted content DLC for Switch when it was already a fully-baked mod on PC. This company even used fanmade mod gameplay footage for the trailer for THIS GAME. How are they still getting work?!

I didn’t know it was possible to release unfinished versions of finished games.

I really start to wonder, do these big publishers no longer want our money? Sure, given how little they invested, it might still be a net positive for them... but do they really believe that's more effective than putting out a decent Battle Front game?

Btw - people checked the code, an yeah they still had the modded files in the game. And it's an outdated version with broken animations. They updated it out allegedly, but more likely the took the updated version and added it.

Star Wars went from A New Hope to No Hope real quick.

Dropping this bomb after the great Tomb Raider Collection is insane, doesn't even look like they are from the same company.

Think what pissed me off more than the actual game was the sheer amount of people I saw online either defending this piece of shit or even blaming the people who got excited for it. Even worse was I read someone basically type out an article that said that anyone who ever expects any game, especially AAA games, to be complete and not run like a piece of shit are in the wrong. That we need to NOT have as high expectations for AAA games because IT’S HARDER FOR AAA GAME DEVS TO MAKE A BETTER GAME THAN SMALLER STUDIOS OR EVEN INDIE STUDIOS. So yeah, everyone, if a large studio makes a game we aren’t allowed to hold them to a high standard, because with all those employees and all that funding they can’t make as good a game as much smaller studios with lower budgets. I’m looking at you Larion with Baldur’s Gate 3 and you ArrowHead with Helldivers 2.

We live in a strange time of half-hearted re-releases and no-effort, full-priced definitive editions, and game companies think they can get away with it. It takes more effort to screw this up than to do it right. It’s up to us to make them realise that this isn’t acceptable and to value us as consumers

See, that's odd, because I did get the feeling that they removed some cutscenes from the game. But the one you mentioned about the clones' feelings about Secura was in my Switch port. There was one other cutscene with a memorable line I remember: "Suddenly... we realized the Jedi could be fooled. And if they could be fooled, they could be killed." That was not in the game. Weird.

1:56 it’s cool until you realize they didn’t do that at all, those maps were in the original Xbox version of battlefront 2 with a dlc patch. Same with playing hero’s on different maps other than mos eisley. They literally did nothing.

Fun fact, the "Earth Shattering Explosion" sound at 12:21 is extremely similar to a glitch that Devil May Cry 3 has in the Devil May Cry HD Collection, where sounds will just be *ear-piercingly loud* for zero reason or explanation at random, completely ignoring whatever sound settings you have.

Remember when Aspyr promised the Switch version of KOTOR 2 would have the Steam unofficial patch and then, after release and well after any of us could get a refund they backed out and all they offered as an appeasement was a free game and I don’t know about any of you but I did what they wanted and never got my code.

I saw someone point out that they probably just upscaled every texture to 4k, even the ones that benefit basically not at all from it. Resulting in a massive increase in file size of textures alone.

When remasters first started happening back on the PS3 they were so damn good. It's unbelievable that we're at this place in time where every remaster or collection is somehow completely unsalvageable. It literally doesn't make sense.

Sadly i can't get a refund since I got this on the PlayStation. When i loaded it up to play Battlefront II a red flag was immediately raised when it played the start up menu twice one for me to pick my user and the other to start game. The next one was how off the sounds were, why are they different? Im glad the AI is tougher but things feel off

Man thank you for this video. I heard about them releasing the classics again and I was hoping they would just basically emulate the old ones and we can replay the great games from 20 years ago. But why do we keep fooling ourselves first off the original company pandemic is no longer around so it's a long ass did we don't have them I've come to learn that when other companies redo video games and try to do enhancements they always mess it up. So far the only remake I truly enjoy right now is Final Fantasy 7. Now I see why it took him so long to do it because if they were going to do it they were going to do it right and they have. Boy I don't understand it it's like we got better games in the 6th generation I've been playing a lot of sixth generation games and do emulation and they still hold up way better than a lot of today's remaster, the reimagining or remake whatevery you want to call it.
