@Metal Head we're SAVED by GRACE through FAITH. Ephesians 2:8-9. It is the GIFT of God. Not of works. God NEVER takes His GIFT back. You can't loose it. 🙏

Amen. God works through him in very unique ways that get me to compare scripture with scripture like I haven't before.

I'm troubled by some of this guy's videos. While I definitely agree that we are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus alone, I think some viewers (especially new believers) are going to take what he's saying the wrong way and think they can live a lifestyle of continued unrepentant sin and still go to Heaven. When we are truly saved, we are changed. “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 If someone says they are saved, but they continue sinning with no conviction or remorse and are no different than they were before, that's something to be concerned about.

@@joeturner9219 I have thought this way before, but with the Spirit bring to remembrance, the scriptures like "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit." That's an exhortation with the possibility that one might not be walking in the Spirit. Entirely possible. Be careful of the snare that Satan uses by getting you to obey the law to "stay" saved. "For by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified." The flesh is aroused by the law and whist trying to fulfill it, we tend to do the very thing we dont want to! "Therefore the just shall live by faith" Faith that Jesus' blood really did pay for my sins, no matter what I do. We do get disciplined for our sin. The thing is, the Scripture wouldn't warn God's already saved children against sin if it weren't possible to sin. 1 Corinthians is a great example and 2 Corinthians as the aftermath. Discipline and mercy. Being a new creature means that Christ has broken down the middle wall of separation and created in one man new life. Jesus is our life. We are new. Sealed by His Spirit. But if we begin to fruit inspect, we ought to beware not to fall into the same temptation. Definitely warn your brother and Sister in Christ! Abhor that which is evil! But, gently, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted. We being spiritual, restore such a one with a spirit of meekness. (Didnt mean to dice the Word up, just going off of memory.) Anyways, sin is to be hated, but as a believer, we might be sinning more by not walking by faith and by trying to fulfill the works of the law. The law is good, but we are carnal. Therefore put to death the deeds of the flesh with the Spirit. Exhortation to the saved. I have been in your position and learned that I am no better. I am as much a sinner as anyone else, if not more so. I thank God for Christ Jesus! He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. That's between God and His Children (whether or not one is saved)

@@thomastompkins8602 I am no fan of the Catholic church. I believe that church is the harlot mentioned in Relation17. The Catholic church brought many pagan festivals into the church. Two of the biggest ones are Easter and Christmas. Both bring idols into the church. The Catholic church also changed the day of worship from the Sabbath to Sunday. They incorporated praying to Mary and the saints. All these things that the Catholic church brought into the church go against the teachings of the Bible. In doing this, the Catholic church is saying that God is not in charge but they are. I have heard many Catholics say that this is not true. But one just needs to look at all the idols in the Catholic church to see that it is true.

@@fourty2ace Are you sinlessly perfect? I already know the answer 😂. Every time you sin you are effectively worshipping Satan (that's idolatry and hatred towards God). Making Jesus Lord and Master of your life is a service issue, nothing to do with salvation at all. Salvation is absolutely free and not conditional upon service.

The context is matthew 5:1, Jesus is preaching to multitudes. From Matthew 5 verse 1 till the end of Matthew 7 is all 1 event where Jesus spoke to alot of people, it's not stated to who, there might have been pharisees listening, there also might not have been. Your statement that vers 21 is about the false prophets in vers 15 and is said to pharisees to teach them the law is silly. When Jesus said "Beware of false prophets" he was not saying this to warn pharisees for false prophets, but rather to warn people for the pharisees. Take for example Matthew 16:6 where Jesus says "Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees". Jesus was warning against pharisees, they were false prophets. And yes the pharisees would be among the MANY that will say to Jesus IN THAT DAY "Lord, Lord". What Jesus said was not only for back then, His sayings go for us too, what do you think Jesus means with "IN THAT DAY"?

The first part speaks of those who proclaim faith. Not all of them will enter into the kingdom of heaven. The second part explains why. They doeth (works), not the will of the father. Faith vs. works 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? This one speaks of those who stand on ceremony and ritual. Those who prophesied in his name but doeth not his will. The last part refers to empty works, ceremony, and ritual. There is only one scripture that refers to faith over works (works in this case being ceremony and ritual, not everyday living), whereas there are dozens of scriptures that refer to works (everyday living). I can provide many of them if you like. Faith without works is dead. In this case, works are referring to everyday living, not ceremony and ritual. By their fruits (works), ye shall know them. The point is that works without faith is dead, and faith without work is also dead. They go hand in hand you cannot have one without the other. That is the point of this scripture, I do not believe that either will flow naturally from the other as many like you claim. The most boastful people I have met are those who boast that they are saved by faith alone. They look at others and point their finger, they jeer at them and damn them to hell because they have not accepted Jesus like they have "look at me and how wonderful I am for I have been saved and you have not! Yeah, no boasting there.

@@sonar245 works don't save. Works are evidence. The point of the whole passage is they pointed to their works for justification and not to Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest anyone should boast.

Sorry, but you are not judged according to your faith, but your works. Much as you might like. God's grace only opens the door, works walk you through. Your premise that works flow from faith naturally and are therefore evidence of faith puts you on equal footing with Christ. Which of course you never can be. Jesus is our advocate to God, who needs an advocate to vouch for us if his grace alone has already saved us. Your misunderstanding of God's grace is your problem. God's grace is a gift given to all people regardless of their acceptance of him. Jesus bled and died for the sins of ALL people, ALL PEOPLE, all those who came before, and all those who came after. It's up to us though our works to show him our gratitude by living according to his teachings. Only then can we walk through the door that his grace has opened.

The Lord was referring to that particular sin of adultery, which is the context and emphasis of that statement to begin with. Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Why is it always, but Jesus said to a woman, Neither do I condemn thee, Go and sin no more ? Why can't it be, Jesus said to a woman, Thy faith hath saved thee. Go in peace ? 🤔

@@trentthompson2899 perhaps Jesus was warning her because sin opens the door for satan to attack us. Jesus also warned the man (that He healed at the pool of Bethesda) by telling him to stop sinning or something worse might happen to him.

You have to believe the gospel if you just believe in Jesus but don't believe he died and rose again it's Meaningless and you won't be saved

When we are talking about "believe" in regards to faith and salvation it means more than just believing to be real. It means to trust, to place your faith in. I think the best way to explain it is a skydiver jumps out of an airplane because he believes in his parachute. Not that it simply is real, but he has placed his faith and trust completely on the fact the parachute will function to save himself. The "lord lord" people know Jesus Christ is real but their pride makes them unable to surrender in trust and completely have faith in Jesus for salvation. They instead turn to works to justify themselves. They feel they must "earn it". They do not see they are robbing Jesus Christ of His glory. At the heart of this is PRIDE, "lord lord" look what > I < have done. Like Lord you are awesome but you know, I also have casted out some demons and healed people. The correct response is Lord, Lord, I am nothing. Have mercy on me a sinner. The Pharisee and the Tax Collector Now He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt: 10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and began praying this in regard to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke 18:9-14 NASB Jesus Christ humbled Himself until it was time to be lifted up and glorified. Likewise we humble ourselves and have faith that at the proper time Jesus Christ shall lift us up.

Cmon man don't believe self righteous Christian that think you can be sinless we sin less but as long as we are in the flesh we will struggle with sin if we could achieve sinless perfection on our own why did Jesus need to die if you claim you have no sin you won't be saved its self righteousness you have to admit your a sinner in need of a savior what do you need jesus for is your sinless like some claim

Specific to salvation, what did Jesus continually say? “Whosoever believeth in me”, “whosoever believeth in him”, etc. First and foremost, why are you calling Him “Lord” if you haven’t BELIEVED on Him? We can also make application to service and discipleship.
