Why it's MORE REALISTIC to turn Fenix's new CABIN CALL option OFF | Real Airbus Pilot

The airline I work for does both Cabin Ready on ECAM and the cabin crew call. This is mainly because the ECAM memo will eventually go back to “….Check” after some time.

If there are airlines that are known to not have the cabin ready system installed in their aircraft, fenix could set it to not show up if you're using that livery and to call you instead. It's a bit of work making it an airline dependent thing but it would be a really nice detail to have.

I'm really confused by that setting. Because the Fenix EFB manual states it is used to quote "Toggle the Cabin Ready memo." So I assumed it's to turn on/off the ECAM memo (as not ever airframe has this), Why do you assume it's for the cabin CALL? But anyway, for me the setting/switch seems to be broken, I get the ECAM memo and the cabin call every time, no matter what I set. (except for this one time, where I did not even get the ECAM memo for whatever reason, have a screenshot of that) Either way, seems to be not working properly for me. But I think it's not for the call but actually was meant to toggle the ECAM memo, as the description states ""memo" not "call".

There seems to be a bug with the EFB function. I turned it off before starting a new flight and the attendants still called me.

So what does turning off the option in the EFB actually do? Does it stop the Blue Check from going to Green Ready,. i.e it means the crew don't have the button to press to tell you it is ready, or does it stop them calling you and all is done through the ECAM?

The bug is still there. I can't switch mine off. What is the file you need to delete to remove cabin

I do recall flying (as passenger) a couple of times between EDDM and EDDL with Lufthansa (So Im sure its Airbus) years ago. I was observing the cabin crew taking the "phone" thing and I think they talked into it...but thats with no means saying thats proving anything

Bei mir lässts sichs nicht mehr deaktivieren 😅 nach jedem Start vom Sim ist die Option wieder aktiv, und sogar wenn ich sie ausschalte bekomm ich Calls vor Start und Landung
