You absolutely correct about how Malaysians can easily adapting to foreigners and new cultures or incoming new changes because it can be traced back in the 15 century's where one of Malay Archipelago which is Melaka and Kedah are one of the focus where East and West merchants meet to do their business,at that time Malay language are becoming Lingua Franca because it's easy to learn and easily be spoken, so even Chinese,Indian,France or Dutch can use it to communicate with each other, as you know East are popular with spice, silk and tropical goods meanwhile West are popular with metals such as gold and steel and Tanah Melayu (old Malaysia name) are the place where they can meet because it become stop place according to world geography, you need to go long way in a roundabout to go from West to the East and vice versa but they found out it became shortcut if they go through Tanah Melayu and while doing that they can save more time and also protect themselves incase of any typhoon or bad weather because Tanah Melayu are protected from that by Indonesia and Japan(?)😅,so it's a win-win situation to us and foreigners because our place became popular and flourish in business so our acceptance of foreigners are actually drilled in our blood just by looking in the history🤗🤗
The main reason Malaysia is attractive due to our "santai" culture. Meaning carefree attitude, if you can adapt to our weaknesses like hot/wet weather all year long, bad traffic, late to work & so on, the rest will be very easy. Even alien from Mars will able to adapt to living here. Being "santai" we have high degree of tolerance towards any broken language or culture. You can wear short & slipper into posh shopping mall & nobody will blink their eyes. Basically as long you never touches any religious & racial sensitivity Malaysia has room for everyone.
Selipar jepun ..Must be someone from Japan bring it here back then ..until get it a name..selipar Jepun..local call Japan here as a Jepun..the rest is history,,
Most tourist and foreigners do. Some of our colonial masters do come back to stay. As long as you do not apply to become a citizen here, it is a jolly good place. When you have voting rights in Malaysia perspective will change. Welcome to Malaysia!
@@kayellai5278 Pls don't misleading your apartheid to foreigner.. In my area in one street we have malay, chineese and india house right next to each other.. if this country is apartheid country, there will be no such thing.. you only have been brainwashed by political party..
Last time I read that the Japanese residing in Malaysia has increased up to 31,000 people as of October 2020. That's roughly 0.1% and impressive. Japan is also among the top 5 countries to travel by Malaysians. Really hope that after this COVID-19 situation becomes better, more Japanese people can come to Malaysia and we Malaysians can also visit Japan ❤❤❤
Actually that flood disaster are really bad for us.my house got sank too and our home appliances got damaged but when everyone got the same problems.we happy to see all of us are united and help each other. That's what makes us malaysian❤️
I’m so sorry to hear that! Right heard this was quite a bad flood and alot of people were effected that time. But Malaysians are really something else when it comes to helping others. Not only physically but mentally as well. It’s such a scary but great experience for me. I hope you are recovering well from the damage 🙏
it is not only Malay, Indian and Chinese languages in malaysia but in a country that has 13 states it and those 13 states have their own spoken dialects.👍🏻😼(btw i like nekoo😽)
I’ve heard about this. It’s crazy how you guys can even understand each other 😅 most countries like Japan only uses one language. So it’s never challenge understanding other people. Malaysians are so amazing
No we dont reconised indian and chinese. The national language is malay and second is english. If yall cina dan india claim to be malaysian. U better speak national language. If not just go back to india and china.
There is always a tendency for each of us to have this "grass is always greener on the other side" mentality. I'm a Malaysian & I adore Japan & the Japanese culture. In my opinion, Japanese are very responsible people and they have good upbringing, respect their elders and also very inventive. That was why in the 80s Malaysia decided to embrace the Japanese way of doing things by implementing the "Look East Policy."
@@terryandrews3186 literally yes . Japn is known as the country of the rising sun, and sun rise on the east , so look east could also be accurate in a way as the word east is refering to the country japan.
i'm a jdrama & jpop fan and i love japan but to be honest, i'd never want to live in japan. pergi sana sekejap2 melancong boleh la, tapi klo tinggal lama memang tak la. culture dorang menarik, tapi bagi malaysian yg dah biasa relaks & santai, it can be suffocating.
Malaysia Is the Top Country For Long Stay for Japanese 13 Years in A Row. Thank you for promoting my country Malaysia. Love from KL. Stay safe & healthy.
That is part of their job description. And they are everywhere on this planet. Their time is up. If they don't repent and do right, they will face the almighty God's CHASTISEMENT. I would focus more on the people that help to make this world a better place. Don't waste your energy and frustration on that kind of nonsense. Let the upper-level people take care of them. They will be dealt with by a higher power.
You should definitely go to Langkawi, the pride and joy of my home state Kedah. I'm currently living in Alor Setar, Kedah but I guess the only place in Kedah that's well known is Island Langkawi and not the mainland Kedah. The truth is mainland Kedah is not that well known to foreigners compared to Langkawi and other states in Malaysia. From the northern region parts of Peninsular Malaysia, Penang and Langkawi stood out the most while Perlis and mainland Kedah were often missed out by foreigners. I really hope more foreigners will come and visit mainland Kedah cause we have so much to offer in terms of delicious foods and eco tourism 😷😁😷
@Edward F betul ckp saudara kedah ade macam2 tapi tourism marketing kita xckup hebat + government x spend duit kt situ bnyk(ade tp x bnyk) slalunye jd mcm tu sbb bajet x bsr peruntukan federal government bg cket tp tu la nk buat mcm mane sebagai rakyat boleh amek inisiatif utk bantu promote local tourism kita 🥰
klo saya, saya lebih suka pergi road trip kedah & perlis. lebih banyak nature, masuk kampung2 pun best. saya budak KL, jadi bila melancong, kalau boleh tak nak masuk bandar. penang dah overrated, overcrowded and the congestion adoyai, tak tau bila masa penang tak pernah jam. baik pulau, baik mainland. kedah & perlis lebih aman, tenang & lapang.
This is my first time watching your channel and I like the fact you include both English and Japanese in your speech. I think I will stop watching those channels that speaks only Japanese. Even though they provide English subtitles, it's not the same. Keep up the good sharing of life in Malaysia 👏👏👏
Hi 👋🏻 here suggestion of common attractions in West Malaysia for you ✌🏻: Penang Island = “Food paradise inside a city that assimilated old cultural buildings + modern city and lifestyle” Langkawi = “The steepest cable car & curve bridge above clouds that serve mesmerising Langkawi scenery + tax-free alcohol” Genting Highland = “Exciting theme park on a misty + cold mountain” Cameron Highland = “Malaysia own tea farm with ‘English’ vibes teatime and buildings + place that offers fresh vegetables & fruits” Perhentian Island = “Clearest sea water that suits for snorkelling” Malacca city = “Historic places in a city” Putrajaya = “Well planned government administrative city”
Thank you for your thought..that because we really welcoming people..we want to know new people & new things..and we appreciate that..so,I want to say Welcome to Malaysia for you..hope you enjoy stay here..1 good advice, you need to mix with local people to ‘make your things easy’ in the future..trust me..☺️
March is start of diving season. Make a trip to Redang or Perhentian islands. Nice beaches, lots of fish in the sea. Find nemo! Enjoy and keep the videos coming!
@@MalayPanTV March till October. Drive up to kuala terengganu and take the ferry over to redang Island. Won't regret it. 😊 Remember to pack beer along from mainland (if you drink).
Our pleasure here to welcome you visit Malaysia! We hope you enjoy the journey being here and most importantly, do stay safe despite current pandemic. Keep it up by uploading more on your videos, you deserve more subscribers! To be frank, Malaysian people love Japan too! よろしく お願い し ます!
1:34 hahahah so cute 😂🤦🏼♂️. we always support you, you are our new neighbor in malaysia 🇲🇾🇯🇵❤️. You have to try the taste of Durian, Tempoyak Durian, Durian Porridge, Durian Cendol, Durian Ice cream .. Very tasty, many foreigners from Malaysian like this food😆👍🏼👍🏼.
😳😳 ahh haha! Actually I’ve tried durian cendol before! I like it more than the regular one :) I haven’t tried the actual fruit yet though. I heard it’s not the season yet. So I want to wait n try it at its best moment..
Love this special, heartwarming video you made of Malaysia. Thank you so much, but that's not the only reason that I believe, Malaysians love you, too! 1. You're such a lovely and bright young woman, who is extraordinarily 2. kind, civil, and well-spoken; who is 3. honest, yet true to your gentle Japanese nature, in sharing your thoughts and experiences with 4. enchanting smiles and your 5. charming accent... someone who will always be more than welcome to Malaysia, and I am quite sure, any other nation in S.E.A. 💖 May you and yours enjoy lots and lots and lots of wonderful memories, wherever you go. God bless🌺
Living in SE Asia like Malaysia is a good place for retired. In Japan, there are many rules and people here tend to have barrier. I myself when I am retired, I am going to Thailand where is I called home.
about the adaptive of different culture, we can accept it as long as it is not contradict with the pillars of the state. for example public affection in the public is a big no no because one of the pillars is 'decency and morality'
Welcome to our home, Malaysia! ❤ Great to know that you love it here & am glad that you've noticed many things in this short span of time being here! Once again, WELCOME & hope you have a great time here! Be safe & have fun! Malaysia Boleh! 🥰
Thanks for staying in Malaysia, I can recommend some special places but will not recommend by most of the people, such as small town like Raub because it is a durian Town , famous food town Batu Pahat with plenty of delicious local food and snacks
Oh I didn’t know about that town before. I’m actually waiting for the durian season! I have yet to try it. Will definitely make a video if I ever visit Raub for durian 🙏
Thank you for the video! I am particularly interested of this type of video genre. It has been (and still is) my impression that Japanese can take traffic jams very calmly. I was surprised to learn that Malays could take it even more so. I am looking forward to your next videos.
Hahah that is so true! I feel like Malaysians are like one of the most patient people in the world. They might not seem like it, but man. They can wait in long queues, wait to cross a busy street, stuck in traffic, go rounds looking for parking, etc 😂
I may add...you don't need too many clothes while living in Malaysia. We dress moderately and simply.... not according to trend or seasons. You can even wear slippers and off you go to mall. 🤣
When I feel bad or down with politics in Malaysia. I always watch some foreigner who lives here, which make me grateful and proud to be Malaysian. Thank you for your honest opinion. Very entertaining video.
Since you are in Malaysia, these are places that I would like to recommend you to go visit! Penang - combination of British colonial architecture and wonderful food like asam laksa, nasi Kandar, chendol, char kuey teow Ipoh, Perak - amazing cave temples, Banjaran Hotsprings & food like dim sum, beansprout chicken, creamy egg custard and the legendary white coffee! Langkawi, Kedah - luxury hotels and resorts such as Four Season, The Datai, Ritz Carlton you name it they have it. Oh did I mention it's a duty free island! Redang & Perhentian, Terengganu - island getaway with beautiful beaches and perfect snorkelling/diving site Cameron Highland, Pahang - beautiful tea plantation, flowers, strawberries and Mossy forest Genting Highland, Pahang - casino, theme park, cable car Hope this would helps :)
I have just scrolling through RU-vid until I found ur RU-vid channel. I'm so glad that you really interested to visit my country Malaysia. Thank you so much for bringing up all the wonderful things in my country Malaysia. By the way I'd love to know more about u,
I have Japanese friends in Malaysia, let me summarize what they told me why they love Malaysia: - warm weather - cheaper price than in Japan - easy to communicate (most speak English) - decent traffic, less pollution - lots of greenery
I’ve been in hotel sector for 7 years able to watch so many japanese came to malaysia as a tourist either independent traveller or by group and still met many japanese even like 70years old and above live in Malaysia, damn u guys love so much malaysia 😂 terima kasih kerana suka malaysia 🙇🏻♂️
I'm coming here after see you on jalan jalan Jesse. I'm done subscribe your channel. Hopefully you can make more activities with Malaysian people. Trust me, you can get new local friends. 😊👍
Thank you for coming over to my channel! I hope you will like my contents too :) yes, I would love to make friends with locals and do more things with them too 🙏
Amazes me how you could bend all your fingers like how you did at 9:07 :) Btw if you love nature then you should check out the many hiking trails around KL/Selangor where some are fairly easy which can be done in half a day, or more for the harder ones. And a few has great view of the city skyline from the atop. Have fun exploring this country and who knows you might have 5 more reasons to add to the list on why you love Malaysia!
Haha how did you even notice that? But yes I can really bend my thumb, backwards as well. 😂 thank you for the suggestions! Really looking forward to exploring more about this country. I’m sure there are more to love
Malaysia is a funny country in my point of view, as a Msian, I would say we fail in so many area, we cant compete, we cant be like anyone, we want other people to recognize us but we fail to realize that we are already perfect.
Yes and No. Malaysia is a beautiful country but no perfect yet. Malaysian cannot be proud of by having, "Billion Dollar Whale" as New York Times bestseller list.
@@kayellai5278 I dont get it, what context are you trying to tell here? what are you trying to prove? Perfection is an aspects and very subjective. Its not meant to be perfect in your context. for me Malaysia is perfect in my own context, I cannot satisfy yours. Did your mother see you perfect in her eyes? I believe so yes, you are perfect in her eyes. Can you you really correct her? nope, you are already perfect in her eyes. No need to argued with your "Billion Dollar Whale".
@@austinjansen3187 No need to argue about the "Billion Dollar Whale", avoiding the truth or trying to bury the truth from everyone? Want to throw out the court conviction? You are right about Hajah Rahah Noah seeing her son being PERFECT, Najib Razak. Why perfect human being comes with "Apa malu Bossku"?
You are not the first foreigner (from a country with four seasons climate) that ive found to be not too fond of our Aircond (AC) culture. 😅 Not too long ago in my office, we have a European requested us to make the AC warmer (increase temperature)! 😆
Haha right! People here always question me if I came from a country with cold weather. But some how AC’s coldness is just so different. I’m not sure why but I always feel so cold going into buildings. I’m amazed how Malaysians can stand the cold
You must visit Sabah state. Locations like one, Kundasang Highland & Kinabalu National Park. Second the nature and biodiversity of the Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary and last but not least, the beautiful Sipadan and Ligitan Islands. Besides this you should try to experience certain festivals and celebrations In Malaysia like Thaipusam at Batu Caves, Selangor (Jan), The Chingay Festival In Johor Bahru, Johor (21st day of Chinese New Year..normally in Feb), the St Anne's Festival In Bukit Mertajam town, Penang (June) and Christmas in Portuguese Village in Melaka city. Hope you can travel around and see the real Malaysia. Cheers!
u should go to sabah(borneo) and go to sipadan kapalalai island there is very beautiful resort located above clear sea water and the sunset there is truly amazing ! 🌅
Very well done video. How long have you been here? Oftentimes the grass is always greener on the other side. Maybe the Japanese like to move here, but many Malaysians also choose to move somewhere else.. which is why we have this “brain drain”. Many non Malaysians admire a Malaysian’s ability to speak many languages, but that is at a superficial level. Most Malaysians do not master even a single language, or maybe one, which is the language of their own race, or if you’re like me, then maybe it’s English. If you try to talk to most Malaysians on a deeper level on any subject, e.g. “Covid”, you’d discover that they’ll find very hard to understand you precisely because their ability with languages is at a very basic level. And here’s a little secret. Malaysians generally treat these groups well: whites, Japanese, Koreans & Hong Kongers, especially if they’re attractive like you. As for other groups, then it depends on what race is the Malaysian you’re talking to. For example, you’ll find that a Malaysian Chinese who’s brought up quite exclusively in the Chinese culture and language do not particularly like talking to blacks, other SE Asians or Mid-Eastern people. They don’t even like talking to Malaysians of other races. If you want proof of this, ask them to show you their Facebook or IG list of friends and see how many Malaysians of other races they would have. They may deny this in the comments but they know this is true. The truth is we are superficially tolerant but fundamentally divided. When Malaysians are outside Malaysia or if we are talking to a non Malaysian, we refer to ourselves as Malaysians. But back home, or in a localised context, we often refer to ourselves as Chinese, Malay, Indian, etc… suddenly we’re not “Malaysian” anymore. It’s like we know how to put on a united front with outsiders, but resort back to our true nature once the outsider is gone.
Yokoso, welcome to Malaysia!! I recommend you to visit other smaller towns in Malaysia too, maybe you could see something unique and beautiful along your journey. Perhaps I can share some videos too so you can see it for yourself. Have an enjoyable stay in Malaysia :)
I like your videos style with all those subtitles, very informative. Keep it up your hard work. I am enjoy your videos, looking to see more your videos.. ganbatte.
