If you'd heard what retired West Coast players have said about how good Mitchell was as an assistant in 2018, you wouldn't be surprised to see how good he is already becoming. Some of those players said he was the best coach they'd ever worked with, which is high praise considering they'd worked with Worsfold and Simpson, but also a whole heap of highly regarded assistant coaches, some who are now head coaches elsewhere.

Without Sam Mitchell, West Coast don’t win the 2018 Premiership. He developed a game plan that turned defence into attack by switching the play and kicking over the press which he started when he played in 2017. The bloke is an absolute genius and will be a premiership coach before his time is up

Apparently people do. They don't actually listen to what he says and then criticise based on what they didn't listen to. There's a difference between a player and a coach, there's a difference between a 19 year old getting a 5 year deal and a 26 year old getting one.

They get like 3-4 games at the MCG a year normally. Other teams get 0.5 games at the Gabba a year and the Lions fans act as if they shouldn’t just suck it up and losing at the Gabba shouldn’t be an excuse.

Kane is definitely delusional hawthorn does not have the talent in the midfield like port power, butters and Rosie! No one can see how good Jai newcombe is I'm aware he is only starting however his growth in the past two years is amazing. PS I'm not a Hawks supporter but I can surely see talent when I see it and yes both port youngsters are good but Josh Daicos is by far the best young talent in the AFL.

With a list many said wouldn’t compete at all. Look at patches of some of the games they lost ie. Adelaide and GWS. Could have easily been 6 wins and on equal points with Geelong who were by far the best side last year. Give credit where it’s due I reckon here…

@@hinksyt2907 Fair enough mate. My point more so being, how fickle the media are. 8 weeks ago they were all saying Vossy is the saviour, and now they want him sacked. Clarko, 12 weeks ago was going to turn Norf into a franchise, now the media are questioning if he should even come back and take over from Rats, who they have said is killing it, until he's not in 5 weeks and they jump back on him. Also genius, for a second year coach, who hasn't proven anything yet, is such a grand standing statement.
