Quick Question: IF Kashmir Pandits are Brahmins then how come you all eat Non-Vegetarian, I thought Brahmins only eat Vegetarian as they wear the holy thread (Janeyu) , just curious pls forgive me , and you dont have to answer if my question seems offensive to you.

As a kashmiri pandit myself,I woul love to answer this question so this is because for complete 6 months you cannot grow anything in the valley because of the temperature so that is why Kashmiris consume a lot of non veg

Its the same with mangalsutra for us. We belong to Jharkhand and live in UP. And my mom didn't wear mangalsutra but she wear sindur, it safe in locker 😅. Btw, bjp won from my area so don't blame me.. hum alag hai😅

I think many of Kashmiri traditions may have changed in influence and pressure during Muslim Rule..... like North Indians started marrying in nights and you guys offer meat to Bhagwan Shiv..... same as some Bengali give Bali to Maa Kali...... these all just changed by Muslim Rulers
