I'm happy that I bought the Briggs And Stratton P4500 electric generator, also the Wagan 1500 Plus , and the Phoenix Elite 300 solar stations.

Hi Mate, Would you know why when i plug my CF60 Waeco in via 12v, the draw is jumping around 40-70w? not the occasional 15w like yours has!
@Adventure8
@Adventure8 2 года назад
I'm using an Engel fridge. The Engel has a unique oscillating piston compressor, which can run on a low voltage and current. Possibly the Waeco has a different type of compressor that may have a different power requirement. That would be my best guess, without doing further research.

Hi Peter, Great video 👍 Quick question, is that power station the 200p or 500p?
@Adventure8
@Adventure8 3 года назад
It's the 500p version. Thanks for watching. Cheers

Does that mean the fridge runs with the fan on the whole time while you’re charging with the 12v? Did you work it out?
@Adventure8
@Adventure8 2 года назад
Thanks for watching. The fan comes on when there is a large power load. So when the fridge cycles off (temperature reached in the fridge), the power load goes to zero and the lithium power pack will also turn off once its internal temperature has reached the right level. I'm assuming the power pack fan is triggered by either/or power load needed and internal temperature of the power pack. In summary, under normal conditions, the fridge cycles on and off, and the power pack fan will turn on and off depending on the power load and its internal operating temperature.

Hi, I want to have a PowerPack that I can use to run the tv, when I have a blackout at home. I also want to be able to charge up this pack using my 249v wall socket at home. Is that possible?
@Adventure8
@Adventure8 2 года назад
Yes, that is one reason why I also got the power station. The power station needs to be rated (Watts) higher than the power drain attached to it. For example, my home refrigerator draws around 1000 watts during operation. The iTechworld 500P (600 watts max) will not work. A domestic electric kettle draws around 2400 watts. An Apple MacBook computer draws around 60 watts. So you need to check the specifications of your TV to find out what power requirements it needs to operate. Power Stations come in all sizes and capacities, so you need to do your research to match capacity with your needs. Hope this helps.

@@Adventure8 nobody answers if you can charge the pack using 240volts
@Adventure8
@Adventure8 2 года назад
@@jeffreywilkes606 : Yes you can charge the power station using a 240VAC power supply. The powerstation comes with a power cord and transformer, changing the 240VAC supply into 12VDC output to connect to the power station.

Thanks for the video. I'm looking @ one of these. How did the unit hold up on your central Australian trip? Would love to hear back from you... God bless Jake

Thanks for watching. Yes it worked well and continues to do so. The Troopy is stuck in Alice Springs right now, Covid means no travel for now. Hoping to get another unit for my Hilux camper soon (parked in Sydney). Remember to use "Adventure8" as your discount coupon if/when you decide to order anything off the iTechworld website, it gives you 10% discount on whatever you buy. @@Adventure8 Thanks for the response. Just tossing back and forth between the 500 and 1000 model. Will use your code if I decide to purchase. Also any idea if another brand of solar panels would work if I just bought the unit by itself? Cheers
@Adventure8
@Adventure8 3 года назад
@@jakeboynz : I'm sure your current solar panel will work well for both the 500 and 1000 models. Assuming you have an Anderson plug on your current solar panel, all you need is the connect cable from iTechWorld, Anderson plug to the plug that connects to the iTechworld unit. I think there are 2 types available, one that is limited for 70 Watts and the higher capacity one at 100 Watts. You should be able to determine on iTechworld website.

@@Adventure8 Thanks will take a look there. Btw i forgot to ask you how many watts was the solar panel you were using in this video to demonstrate. To get 67w of charge on a sunny day. Was it a 100w or 150w panel? Cheers

Hi, Is there much differences between 500 and 500p? Thanks
@Adventure8
@Adventure8 Год назад
The 500p is newer, is a different shape and has slightly more capacity. Particularly the PD port output is 60W compared to 45W on the older 500. This means you can easy run an Apple MacBook that requires 60W power supply.

Good for a secondary power source at best I think. Charging laptops. / phones / iPads / That fan is too loud. Obviously spared the expense of a brushless motor on the likely small fan. At least the 12 Volt outlet is regulated, so many of these power stations / portable solar generators are not **As a footnote. The now available in Australia Bluetti EB70, smashes this unit in every facet. Costs slightly more but easily worth the investment …….. Lifepo4 battery, excellent quality MPPT…. The list goes on basically**
