Also public transport has an interesting role in this city that people might find as fascinating as I do

It wasn't hard to find the UN definition of forest. Forest is defined as: “land spanning more than 0.5 hectares with trees higher than 5 meters and a canopy cover of more than 10 percent, or trees able to reach these thresholds in situ. It does not include land that is predominantly under agricultural or urban land use”

As a Londoner i have to say the borough price is incredibly misleading. Even in boroughs, there are rich and poor areas. Not only that, the existense of council houses (tho there are a lot less than there used to be) also doesn't impact those prices. Also most people use the bus service more than trains. Also Turnham Green is not in Hammersmith, its in Chiswick, so its below Acton.

I spent only cash for the tube, because I didn't want an Oyster card for two days and didn't want to take the money out of my bank card, which would include more payments to my bank for the exchange rate. I ended spending over $40 US for two and a half days of tubing. I now live in Tbilisi Georgia I can spend 15 cents for a trip of 25 km.

I grew up in Perth in Western Australia (not the one in Scotland or Tasmania) and it was always a very post-war, car-dependent city. They've done wonders retrofitting the sprawl with train lines and busses, and now very few people drive into the city, although car use is frequent in the suburbs. I've lived in Sydney and Melbourne though, and holy moly, it'd be a pain in the arse to have a car in either city. If your home is near a station in Sydney or Melb, then your home will be worth a fortune. Luckily we didn't tear up the train lines we inherited from our British heritage like the USA and Canada did. Even though Melbourne has the world's biggest tram network, it's still pumping tens of billions into new train lines as other 4 other cities. Australia really got over its car culture.

The lack of public transport links in SE London is not completely true as you have missed out the DLR, which goes down to Lewisham and the TramLink between Beckenham and Wimbledon in the SW. Where I do absolutely agree with you is that Bromley, where I live, whilst having a train line, is very poorly linked to SW London where I work. In order to take the train to SW London I need to travel central to the city, then back outwards again, which makes absolutely no sense.

As someone who grew up in South East London I've never been overly attached to the tube lines and find that the national rail services and buses are just as good. I find it so interesting how I meet people from West and North London who are fully two or three zones further out than I am and maybe only have access to one tube line (whereas everywhere I've lived has been 10-15 mins walking to 2 or even 3 natrail stations with southeastern, southern, and thameslink services to choose from between them) yet will hear that I don't have a tube station and are like "Wow, you must be really far out from the centre" - I think what you're used to massively impacts your perception of these things. That being said, will be interesting to see how prices change in Lewisham when it's on the bakerloo line (if they ever get around to that extension)
