I have been poor all my life. But never felt any emptiness. You don't have to be rich and have a lot of money to feel good and have a good life. I have other things within me that are not seen, that are more exciting than money and precious things, they are only superficial and lifeless things. I have things inside me that allow me to tell if people are lying or telling the truth. I see both the past, present and future and I can see what people are doing, you see it like you are watching a video. Before I developed the "third eye", life felt like you lived in a *tight shoe box*. Now since it opened, the world has become so big that you think it's not true that you have the whole universe at your disposal. All people would open the third eye (the pineal gland) then they would have a better life. Then they can manifest whatever they want.

Ditto. I cannot afford things like holidays or a car, but my family is healthy and happy. I understand what riches are, healthy friends and family, and an appreciation for things like rays of sun falling through the trees. I think that I do not have a TV, and instead love to walk in the woods or by the canal has been my saving grace. I care not what people think of me, I care what I think of them. Everything starts with ourself.

you are right; money is important but not the ultimate; if the only motivation is money, then the constant pursue of money will in the end leave one disillusioned; and hence emptiness; as to what the real purpose of life is all about; to me, one’s connections with one’s environment and surroundings is important; the world doesn’t rotate around money alone; there are a lot more things which are important and make the world go around. 🙏🏻.

I will always remember watching video games go from where you could play shoulder to shoulder with your buddies, (fair still capitalism) to where they separated each of you physically and forced each kid to buy a game system and everybody play at their own home. What that got rid of was spending time at a freinds home, dinners at a friends place, knowing the family. It’s like capitalisms general direction is to extract as much energy out of each of us as possible while separating us from each other so we can’t push back and can produce in our own silos.

Absent from these types of discussions is always the "how." Sure, everyone can nature bathe daily and experience some moderate benefits, but it's not enough to offset the toll of living in an increasingly toxic and exhausting system. Ideally, we'd all have a little cabin in the woods and raise/forage our own food, etc, but it's very difficult to find affordable land of this sort to build on. Not to mention still needing to make a "system" income to afford the taxes, among other expenses. And what if you're taking care of sick parents who can't/won't move out into the wilderness? The list of complications and "strings" tying most people to modern society are the real issue. It's the "how" not the "why" that needs more attention.
@gaycryptidhours
@gaycryptidhours 2 месяца назад
I know re-balancing who gets taxed and what amount (looking at amazon, google, ect), and fortifying the things that keep people happy and alive with that funding would give us some starting momentum. Those who have more should care for those who have less. It's rather basic but the American pride on individuality has pushed away the notion that helping others less fortunate is something we should all value beyond money. Show that with funding infrastructure, clean energy, social security nets such as disability and food stamps, preventing businesses from killing people by pricing them out of the healthcare system. These changes will help more people find that something they're missing and increase their interest in more than just their own survival. Giving us more people who CAN and WANT to make change. We've made our own environment unlivable which leads to dependency on other sources. Look to indigenous cultures for land management techniques, value curiosity and a willingness to learn.

@@tat2zz68 It's true to some extent, but energy is limited and inevitably the human brain has to process stimulus, no matter how well it responds afterwards, which can be exhausting if you have lots of negative/distracting factors in your life. It may be true that humans evolved with an expectation of living in the jungle. But that's not really a plus. It's more of an unfortunate curse for a *somewhat* sentient being to be afflicted with. It is not "good" to have to fall back towards the environment that our ancestors (whose lives pretty horrible in every meaningful sense), just so you can "feel" better. Our ancestors were afflicted with parasites, less than half reached adulthood, the level of violence was often insane compared to what we see. It was not uncommon to be malnourished, or for people to die from famines or random diseases. It was hell. That our brains are adapted to that hell, does not make it not hell. You could as well say that a cat, or an ant's life is meaningful because it is acting in accordance with its instincts. And the "pursuing" that he's complaining about... That is how you contribute to others and help build the foundations of better lives for everyone. That human instincts often can't understand that, is more a flaw in the instincts than in the work itself. There is a reason why human civilizations don't survive very long... Human instincts are inadequate and without external force, people often fall back into the behaviors that produced the hell of the past.
@antimatteranon
@antimatteranon 2 месяца назад
i think what he's suggesting more towards is to live a life less stuck in the suburbs or city all the time. as for your last quote, old habits die hard. civilizations rise, they get complacent and decadent, then an external invading force from a rising people destroy them or they devolve into civil war / splinter into smaller nations. then the rising force becomes complacent and decadent, so on and so forth. maybe the old civilization rises again but that would largely depend on an external force as you've said. our brains are adapted for survival in a shitty environment, not in luxury. unless we harness genetic engineering or some shit that won't change.

One word: simulacrum. We lack genuine connections: to other people, to nature, to the REAL world. And I don't mean by this it is technology's fault. Yes, social media and the internet play a role. But capitalism's logic of comodification of everything is a huge part of our social and spiritual lack. Look at transportation: all cars, compartimentalization instead of busses and subways. Look at work cubicles! Compare that to school classes; more people in the same space, makes opportunity to connect and share experiences with others. This logic is prevalent EVERYWHERE.

I just watched a TicTok video, and this guy broke down the number and... calculated that if you average the income of 90% of US population excluding to top 10%... the average income is only 32 thousand dollars I have made around 25 thousand dollars working as a domino pizza delivery driver working about 40 hr per week in Dallas. that means.... we are all fucking broke lol lol we all broke man we all broke

can't fix it without fixing the currency start using Monero

Not just a currency problem. The existence of “money” and “capitalism” is the problem. It’s misused, deeply. A gun can hunt food or kill people. Same with any tool, like capitalism, which can be hijacked by evil, by the elites, to keep us busy all day.

Living with nature and eating hole foods is the only way to get true life satisfaction. Everything else is an addiction. The worst of them all is money followed by sugar and the internet.

This can all be summed up in two sentences. Destroy your tv and touch grass. Too many people live through their tv and social media. The only thing that has risen in the last 70 years is the invention of the tv and social media. Not a coincidence that depression has risen to the level it has in that same time span.

Being that it's the largest religion on the planet, I don't think you know what you're talking about 😂

Meh. I think most modern day christians are having the exact same struggles, and it's not clear to me that they fare any better than atheists. I do think that some other religious traditions (like Buddhism and Judaism) navigate these things more skillfully though, through their cultural wisdom. Sadly, I think Christianity has come to be treated just like some cheap 'cheat codes' for unlocking heaven, and to feel justified in thinking you are superior to those who are not christian.

I’m a vegan and must admit that I’m not a foodie type and my idea of a healthy food is throwing some tofu in the pan and add some rice to it and eat it and hope that I’m not gonna develop micro nutrient deficiency And because my tastebuds are so badly served by me My only hope is to add as much salt as possible to my pathetic vegan diet And without salt I would starve to death Because I simply cannot cook a tasty meal Long live salt 🧂
