You mentioned numerous times about how Nigerian parents help to push their children to do well in school and help to build their confidence, etc...The key here is that Nigerians get married and the dad stays with their wife and the kids are raised with a father in the home. This is rare in the black communities. Back in the 1950's and 1960's most black kids were raised by their mother and father. Read what Denzel Washington said about this: “Well, it starts in the home. If the father is not in the home, the boy will find a father in the streets. I saw it in my generation and every generation before me and every one since.” He added, “If the streets raise you, then the judge becomes your mother and prison becomes your home,”

It's so true, I had a Nigerian family move into the house next to me...amazing people, they work their asses off and they have an insanely tight knit family and culture...they also don't let their kids get away with anything and don't hand them anything...this family is LOADED. Their kids don't have to worry about anything, but they made them work to earn money for their own car foe their older daughter, you always see the kids out doing chores, they make them get summer jobs kf they aren't playing sports in the summer...the parents didn't get hand outs and they teach their kids the same...great people

In Nigeria we have a lot of electricity problems but here there is electricity 24/7, furthermore there is WIFI in every house which is so helpful for students and people who do online businesses.
