Why 'Sola Scriptura'? Does the Bible even teach this?

Scriptura - OK. But Sola?
The Scripture alone.
But what about texts outside of the Bible? Those are important too, Right?
And what about people to whom God reveals something in dreams, even today? Or how about sermons? Does it really have to be ONLY the Bible?

So true with out the Holy Spirit we can't understand we must ask God to give us wisdom and revaluation before to read the the Holy bible

God can't lie but people can. Yeap, including the people who wrote the Bible. By the way, saying that God can´t lie is saying that God is not omnipotence.

Where in the NT is the idea that all teaching were reduced to writing only? Where in the NT is God’s Word restricted only to what is written down?

Dave you are confronting God because you're for some reason angry with Him (as I was), if you pray sincerely and ask God to reveal Himself to you, He will. Jesus Christ said that whoever seeks Him finds Him. At that time I didnt realise that all good that I had came from Him, He was my protector and provider all along and I - an undeserving, proud, selfish and spiritually dead person sought and found his Maker

@@daveevans3276 to err is human, people tend to lie to get power, influence and money. Catholic popes are but deceivers, they distort Christ's teachings. When you compare the OT and NT you will find out the divine Spirit of God at work, for example read psalm 22, or 31:5 it all happened 1000 years later word for word. The bible is wriiten by humans but the author was God Himself. Read your bible and you'll see. Other information is good and usefull but not Godbreathed. Galatians 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! What is it that you are against of sola scriptura? Every storage medium can be presented in written form

@@english4u-wow11 First of all, you or no one else here has shown me book and verse where my two questions are located within the bible. Secondly, so I'm presuming that if I asked you, what was the prevision Jesus made for handing on the Christian faith you would say it was the bible, Correct?

Bible can´t be the highest authority since you need an extra biblical authority that concedes the Bible any authority.
