I still have conversations with Elvemage almost monthly, he's an old friend and will always remain so. His brother is also a great guy. Everyone made mistakes in their past, for what my word is worth, he's a good guy.
Dang i use to watch this guy all the time as a kid, always wondered what happened to him I remember him making bank videos and talking about how his parents where fish or rice farmers (cant remember now). brings back memories.

Nice video, but you’ve got a few things wrong. As a PKer of this time, Elvemage was a joke to the PKing community. Only those who didn’t pk actually liked him. He was notorious for teleporting the second an actual PKer attacked him … he’d target only noobs who were in the wilderness for reasons outside of PKing … he might actually be the first meme of RuneScape, and not a good one 😅

You should look into hiei the pk. He might of been the first person I remember that you could visually see understood the tic system. He would single click sharks, not spam click them.
So, you're partially right. Mutes were just for talking shit, and Noob Rider leveld the acc up and sold it in 2010 after the unban. He leveld the accs bc I already had bot farms running to make more sales before going to college. The darkelve post was fake, but Noob sold the account but I suppose its possible whoever bought it flipped it on the darkelve post but we didn't make it.
He got unmuted because Jagex just mass unmuted a bunch of accounts around 2007 or so. I had a perm get completely cleared, same for my buddy. I still play the account that was previously perm muted for 2years. Wonder if the account history still has the black marks/offenses listed (but quashed).
Everything is logged. Every gold piece is basically a primitive NFT. NOW! Consider that there's hundreds of trillions of gold in the economy. Like I said, everything is tracked.

"they made luring bannable" this was like the first time the game turned into weenie hut jrs. Where every player has to be protected from themselves. I have never cheated, lured, scammed, or otherwise and I'm a maxed player that started osrs in 2013 and played rs2 in 2006. There was something cool about the anarchy of the old days. You were allowed to trick people or be tricked, it was like real life. 99.9% of the time lures teach lessons, especially to kids: if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Now that, and even 2 consenting adults fighting each other with equal odds are not allowed. I'm so disappointed.
Dont get how someone who seemingly only targeted gullible noobs via lures became known as one of the "greatest" PKers of all time? I imagine the majority of modern PKers would demolosh him easily in a fair fight.
I used to be in L2L with Elve and Fearny. Some OG's. I can still find myself in some of the videos. His mute was not for luring, it for explicit language trying to get around the censor.
One of my earliest RS memories is back in 05 or 06 when I was brand new to being a member. I spent days at the flax field spinning bow strings to save up for what I thought was the most bad ass armor in the entire game, full black mystic robes with an obby shield and cape. I finally got my bad ass armor and was lured by this guy's team and lost it all lol. At the time i didn't know who he was though since i was basically a new player.
2:30 - this isn't true at all. Hybriding had been around a lot longer than that. It wasn't a thing in classic since weapon speed wasn't and in turn everyone just used R2H, but in even the earliest versions of RS2 it was.
It's almost like when fortnite started and everyone was bad... Expect a few people who got really good really fast.. elvemage was not really that good at pking. If you put his style in today's pking world he would never last lol.

i have the same mentality now as i did back then against this if u get lured u deserve to loose your stuff if u get lured u learn a valuable lesson that translates to real life.
