We discuss why Street Fighter 3's cast members may be Season 3 DLC for Street Fighter 6, as that would follow what happened in Season 1 of the game.
Street Fighter 3 is one of the most controversial games in the entire franchise, because Capcom brought in 15 newcomers to the series, and left quite a few of the most popular characters on the cutting room floor.
That game actually started out as a non-Street Fighter title, but due to pressure to deliver a much hyped 3rd entry in the franchise, Capcom started turning it into the game we now know.
Street Fighter 3 is generally considered to be the least successful entry in the franchise from a business perspective, as the return on investment for this game wasn’t good, with some reports saying it lost money, while others saying it barely broke even.
Since it falls next in terms of release dates, we think the characters from this game currently has the best shot of being DLC for Season 3 of Street Fighter 6, likely in 2025.

You got to have Sean, he is the spirit of evolution from a fighting style and a character. His arch is not finished about creating his own fighting style that is different or a mix between shoto and Matsuda. His interaction with Ken, Mel, Sakura and Dan can really give all these characters and himself more depth. Also Luke has Sean moves and everybody love him to death, take that ish to Memphis.

He's on my wishlist as well, I just hope they don't make him a joke character but a version that has grown, still has some of Ken's DNA in his moveset but obviously gained some own moves so he becomes his own character.

@@blenderbae6353 They have to, he has connections with so many other characters and from his style alone he would have made a better suiting protagonist to the world and vibe they're going with in SF6 than Luke. Plus he's off the younger generation after the World Warriors who are now the mentors, it's actually baffling that he or Sakura aren't the main protagonists in SF6 when you think about it.

The thing with Sean being a "joke character", the devs said back when they were developing sf5's Dan that they're done making "joke characters" purposely bad bc there's no point and that's basically a wasted slot in the roster. I can definitely see Sean coming back in sf6 maybe as a shoto/grappler mix of Ken and Laura. Story-wise he'd be hear to check up on Ken. I'd also expect for him to be a bit more serious of a character given that he's probably a full grown man at this point in the timeline.

Sean was never a joke character, they made Sean bad in third strike as a handicap for new players when fighting someone that's better. Dan as a joke character runs deeper than his damage being bad.

Yeah Remy needs to be rebooted because he has no business having Flash Kick and Sonic Boom. If the developers can't rectify that then they shouldn't even bother putting him in any Street Fighter game.

SFV has alot of Shotos, 2 boxers, 2 ninjas, Guile and Nash in one single game! I don't see any problem on that! Guile and Nash does same thing but plays differently from each other, same goes to Guile and Remy. Since Nash is gone, good opportunity for Remy to take his spot.

I would love to see Remy get another chance. I feel like he didn't fit in well with the mechanics of 3rd strike but might be able to work in 6. I also feel like if they could have Guile and Nash in the same game they could find a way to have another boom character. He also had a dive kick and quick dash speed that set him apart from they way typically Guile plays.

urien controls metal and lighting and gill is fire and ice in third stirke, before the fight starts, urien skin colour changes when he put on a protective metal layer on, his SA2 and 3 are lighting element in nature, and his projectile is called metallic sphere

Ryu hasn't actually been shown or confirmed to train under Oro at any point. Oro's claimed he has (and is shown observing Ryu's training, clearly without Ryu's knowledge at the end of 3S) but Ryu's been pretty clear that he's not interested. There's a lot of other little lore flubs here but that's the one I can't bite my tongue over. I'd like to know where you're getting some of this stuff, because I've certainly heard it in other places too. I've firmly believed pieces of trivia that I've later been unable to find any kind of reliable source for, so I know it's easy to mess this stuff up, but I'm not the one doing this professionally.

Twelve being a story type of character is something I'm against, he's only disliked not for his obscurity but really his terrible lack of special attack cancels and not being able to extend combos. I can see Capcom bringing him back and revising him, hell I can see him replacing Seth but with a more outrageously unique moveset compared to the SF4 Villain.

Final fight are not a Category unless you're asking for characters from final fight that never made an appearence in a SF game yet

@@anonymousc8719 it can be either or. Ijs there's no metrocity or final fight in the city that focuses on them. Cody and guy are final fight characters, along with maki and lucina so I'm not sure why they aren't considered a category. Hell, so are poison, Hugo, rolento, Birdy, Abigail and more.

@@OmnisTheDemigod The reason why they're not considered in that category is because it's based on what appearence the final fight characters first appeared in a SF game. For example: Guy = Alpha Cody = Alpha 3, Hugo = SF3 and Lucia = SFV, you get the gist. Any Final fight Characters that haven't appeared in as of yet would be considered new characters (SF6 for an example), even though they have appeared in cameos in past SF games. They're considered as "guest characters" You're not going to see eventhubs make a dedicate final fight video because in this video they mentioned hugo which is the game he first appeared in. So yeah you can consider them as either, as their origin game but not when it's based on their first appearence in a SF game. Remember on is a beat em up game and the other is a fighting game.

Yeah I remember hearing that they were gonna put Yun and Yang on SF2 But then one of the developers of who later worked on Killer Instinct 2013 James Goddard said they should do different characters for the U.S. market.. that’s why he developed DeeJay to have more diversity in the game..and they later developed Fei Long.. and the others

I think aegis reflector could be very OP in sf6 since he can combo off of a grab. U parry to avoid the high low mixup and get a punish counter grab with follow up.

@@anonymousc8719 The only thing there is Gill was a boss character in SF3, completely unbalanced and not intended to be used competitively at all. You could make him playable on the consoles, but he was generally banned by the FGC in SF3 3s. We do talk a solid bit about Gill in the Urien section, however.

In my opinion the discussion should be focused on how they connect to the LORE and not gameplay. SFV had some truly wasted slots such as Abigail. He served no purpose and T.Hawk would have made more sense. Zeku was cool but a wasted slot, he only served the purpose of canonizing Strider to the "Street Fighter Extended Universe", and that could have been posted on the CFN website. We should have gotten a retrained Guy to face off against Bison... Here's a list for DLC: - G (he's definitely Q, have him come back as "Z" or whatever happened to him to lose his Gaia powers - Twelve - Colin trying to rebuild the Illuminati on Uren's behalf - Oro, whatever turned G into Q and sucked his powers also got Oro's, and he'd fight with both arms - Necro (he should have been a dlc in SFV as "Illya" imo before he got experimented on by the Illuminati) - new character that made background appearances already or have been mentioned/hinted at like "Elevent" so we could get any other ninja and not Ibuki for example

You mentioned how Alex was inspired by Hulk Hogan but didn't go into Dudley who is basically Chris Eubank. when it comes to Urien, the usefulness of Aegis was that it had a short bar so would it be a level 1 if he were to be in SF6? I feel it might be a bit to powerful as a level 1 and level 2 tends to be the utility super, so he propbably won't be able to get as many out in a match. Unless maybe he gets his own special 'Aegis' bar like the characters that have 'stock' moves. Similarly with Elena, I can't see healing as level 3 unless healing has a critical art version (which does more healing?) Much as I loathe to put art and video games in the same sentence, I am reminded of how in its time Impressionism was considered awful but now considered some of the finest art and ahead of its time, a parallel I can draw with SF3 at time of its release.

It definitely does not make more sense to add Dan instead of Sean. SF6 got new generation theme going as well and Sean is a perfect fit for it being a young guy who is also mentored by a staple, Sean should've been next generation shoto even before Luke. I strongly disagree with Dan being more fitting for SF6.

My Season2 Preference: Sakura, Dudley, Cody, C.Viper, Hugo, Sagat, Fei Long, R.Mika. I would also like to see a guest character from the other two fighting games added to Street Fighter 6. I think it might be a good idea to release a video for the characters you want to appear as guest characters. I really liked the characters of Jin and Kazuya in sfxtekken. If these Tekken main characters are guests in sf6, it will be fun and the number of sales will increase. If you want to think differently and have an original character and gameplay, Alisa and Feng Wei may be a good option. Kung Lao or Sub Zero (some coolness) from the characters in MK might suit Street Fighter 6. Why not :)

In the previous parts there were never seasons dedicated to any one topic. And I don’t see what the point could be in this. I so wanted to believe the rumor that Elena was going to come in the next season from famed insider Vergeben, only to find out it wasn't from him. Still, you brought up a fascinating point about using the tournament to make friends, which works for her in the game but not with the audience. Maybe they could use the fan response to their advantage, so let me share this. She is now friends with Akuma, right - what if they did a story where she becomes the very person who cleanses the evil from his soul? Or they could go a different route and have her end up being influenced by the Satsui No Hado. There is a drawing from freelance artist Big Red 2099 where she is depicted mimicking Akuma's Raging Demon finish pose. I like Elena as a character; maybe they could do something interesting with her. Yeah, the Healing super is just too powerful and tricky to get right. The only option would be to nix Healing, but then we have to ask ourselves this: can she still be Elena without it? Or is Healing just too much of a character trait that taking it away just makes her not Elena? If the latter, one thing I could suggest is that any health she recovers via this mechanic will be denoted in a different color and will take greater if not double the damage than normal. There has to be some kind of control for her to continue carrying the Healing super.

I want to say 2 things: 1.If Elena is in sf6 then sf6 is officially a unique game because Elena’s capoeira is like bringing eddy gordo in tekken 8 (P.S. Elena healing special in sf6 “oh hell no”) 2. 52:11 all always wanted an eren Yeager, sasuke uchiha and Tommy Oliver in sf6 using that gen desciple. But know I was so blind with this, if remy appears in sf6 he needs to be remade in appearance and fighting style (instead of savate he could have another style and he needs to be in New Zealand but he still be French)

@@EventHubs That's true. But doesn't this contribute even more to them being seperate characters, when they even point it out? There's also an interview with a planer about the development of Elena. Of course it could be true after all, especially when it comes to Darkstalkers development that took place in Japan and the US with a language barrier and no internet, history is a bit muddled, but I don't believe anymore that they started out as the same character.

If they do a full SF3 DLC season theyll kill the game tbh. Lack luster S1 dlc, they didnt change anything people were really wanting to change on a system level for s2, topped off with a lack luster dlc season. They need to hit some of the big characters

at least two characters should have made the base roster for street fighter 4, street fighter 5 and street fighter 6. most of the world warrior cast have been given too much priority over most characters from 3, 4 and 5; ex characters should have crossed over from sf4 onwards.

I love the characters from SF3rd Strike, I think they're all really classy and I'd like at least a good portion of them to come back in SF6. In order of preference 1) Alex, 2) Necro, 3) Urien, 4) Gill, 5) Dudley, 6) Elena (by modifying or deleting her care), 7) Twelve (by considerably improving her gameplay), 8) Makoto , 9)Q, 10) Oro and 11) The other characters

@@anonymousc8719 Greedy sfv was a shit show that cost us over 300 bucks and you're calling me greedy? You do what you do. As a consumer, if you don't give me what I want I won't consume your product. Dudley is my main so without him the other characters would bring me back. Since only 2 were in shit fighter 5 that's not being greedy. It's called my patience is gone.

combine elena and makoto into one character and give the character a red health mechanic which is an auto activate super that's a combo of healing and T.R. it will the character the ability to chain all of the character's supers into each other

I think what hurt alex was SFV's aethetics. It is....an ugly game. Alex's weird leg stance and the fact that pants in that game look painted on did not help his look. The RE engine may do wonders for him

I'm sorry but these videos are operating under the delusion that season 1 was a "SFV" season, but it wasn't. it included an original character and Akuma, and also pushed characters who were originally intended for basegame. they arent doing seasons based on single games

I know this vid is about the game, but I'm enamored by how attractive Kate is... Her magnetic smile, curious and beautiful eyes, cute dimples and her cool personality floor me everytime. Ibuki's pet is not a raccoon it's a raccoon dog in English, which is strange because they really aren't raccoons or dogs. They are a completely different species that is more related to foxes, and it's called a tanuki here in Japan. I work in area that has a bunch of them running around at night
