The Seiko SBDX017 is my favorite Seiko diver to date, it offers great value that punches above its weight, watch the video to find out why! Please like and subscribe if you liked this video, it motivates me to do more videos like this :)
I would love to own one. Congratulations on having one. A couple of things that add to it are as You said the polishing and finish is excellent. It is the same method as Grand Seiko. The movement is a Grand Seiko high beat movement but undecorated. Seiko is very modest in the watches specifications. It is in real life use under 5 seconds - +. You have a very nice collection.
Excellent video. The MM300 is a very interesting watch. It's big, but, looks small, even, in my 6.25" wrist. The crafter blue strap is perfectly made for this watch. Absolutely transformed. So easy and comfortable to wear. Rugged and look different.
Hi Francis. Great review. Hope you could also review the MM300 SBDX017 on the Angus Jubilee. In addition, a review of the SBBN015 tuna on the endmill "Presidential bracelet would likewise be awesome. Thanks.
The Strapcode bracelet is undoubtedly an excellent bracelet. But in this case, because the original Seiko case and bracelet are Diashield coated, the watch becomes a darker hue compared to untreated, standard stainless steel. It is obvious there is a mismatch of colour when the watch case is a tad grey but the Strapcode bracelet appears as bright stainless steel. Do you notice that? Just look at the colour difference from the case lugs moving to the Strapcode end links. For the Sumo, the replacement Strapcode bracelet matches perfectly as the watch isn't Diashield coated.
Now that you mentioned, I did notice the difference in color, it's also to do with the different finish between the case and the Strapcode bracelet. Regardless the difference is probably negligible to untrained eyes.
@@francis-wu You are right, most likely negligible to the untrained eye. I am a watch enthusiast and I own the SBDX021, so I am mindful of the darker hue of Diashield coating. When I put it next to my blue Sumo SBDC033, I could tell the difference in tone. That is the reason why I chose not to replace the original bracelet of the SBDX021. Thank you for the video, it is great insight definitely.
Hi Francis, I know this video is old but am just now seeing it - thanks to the messed up YT Algorithm. I have to say, this is one of the better YT Video of the MM300 I have watched in recent years. I love your soft soothing voice also. Keep up the good work 💪hope to see more content. Greetings from USA 🇺🇸 Malik Martin I just subscribed also.
@@francis-wu Oh you welcome brother 🙏. What's your nationality if you don't mind me asking? There is a lot of crisis in Europe right now and wasn't sure if you are in the midst of it all. You do sound European
Thanks, I fitted the original clasp onto the Angus Jubilee, and i think it should have no problem fitting onto the hexad, just make sure you check the strap buckle size on both the clasp and the bracelet.
Very nice review my friend. What is your opinion on the Angus Jubilee over the Hexad Oyester? I think the Jubilee is far more comfortable than the Hexad. It would be nice to see the MM300 dressed with the Jubilee bracelet. Please share your thoughts. Thanks.
I do like the Angus Jubilee, it does feel very comfy, I guess it depends on your personal taste, out of those two I prefer Hexad as I feel the chunkiness of Hexad works really well with the chunky case of MM300. I might do a quick video of the MM300 with Angus Jubilee later on :)
Hey Francis, great video! I've got a hexad for my MM300 and currently wear it on either that or a crafter blue. What's your take on the angus jubilee? Which one do you prefer? Thanks
I love jubilee bracelet but not on MM300, I felt the chunkiness of the watch does not really match the elegant nature of the jubilee bracelet, but that's just me and everyone is different, let me know how it went :)
Unable to find a Hexad Oyster 20mm curved end bracelet...does anyone know where to get one? Strapcode only has straight end. Sir, where did you find yours please?
Got it from Strapcode, check it out here www.strapcode.com/collections/replacement-band-for-seiko-mm300/products/metal-ss-bcl05-b054 Hope this helps, let us know how you got on.
Hi ,just came across you channel ,as I am fixated on the mm300 ,but it's expensive and for that price one can get a used Swiss luxury. But none the less this watch is great and can't think of anything like this. Can you tell me which wears better ,the sumo or the mm300...
The MM300 has a slightly thicker case and therefore sit a little higher off the wrist, both of them are great watches and more than capable as a daily driver, however, the case thickness of the MM300 does bother me a little and for that reason, it's not getting a lot of wrist time from me lately. What Swiss alternative are you considering?
@@francis-wu Hmm, I guess for that money one would get a pre owned omega or Tudor....but they don't really speak to me ... So which one gets the most wrist time.....
@@sachexplorer9500 Everyone's got different taste, it's also to do with the wrist size and whether you're more on the casual or sporty side with your outfit, I've been enjoying Submariners and Omega 2254.50 lately
@@francis-wu It's declasse to say "watch-head", it's simply watch or case. Like everyone should say pierced-lugs, not holes-case like a moron, like Pluta.
