Serval is my favorite Star Rail story character. Her voice actress did an amazing job brining emotions and life to this character. Just wish she was a 5-star unit with higher damage multipliers.
She is basically like Fischl from Genshin. Overlooked in the start, given for free and then the realization huts that she is top tier. Main reason I'm not pulling for Jing. Don't need the same path and element I have already.
Serval is great at her Department....Skill cost Efficient AOE DMG. And she will only age finer at every Eidolons and DOT meta comes. E2: Spam Bursts faster E4: More SHOCK application
@@funnylawre don't try to mess different games, sub-dps in genshin can provide a lot of utility, from energy regen to simple elemental chain. We don't have any support from Serval outside of her ability to break weaknesses. You can call them both sub-dps but just doing damage is not enough for this game to be called a sub-dps. And I never called any of them bad units (they are both incredible, I main Serval as main dps), no need to be so aggressive bruh
So glad that Serval is getting the attention she deserves. I have been using her since day 1. I also happened to snatch E1 for her, which is nice. Definitely one of my favourite characters in the game. I also have Gepard, so the sibling duo can wreck enemies together.
I like her Serval for all the reasons you said: cheap ult, good energy regen, pretty good damage. Wish her ult could proc Shock in her base kit, but that's a nitpick. Really like using her AoE for DoT and whittling down beefy enemies in SU so Seele can snipe the last hit and get her buff active.
Fun fact : serval's base speed stat is over 100 ,(104). This makes her outpace many other characters in the game which makes her really broken considering she is a hard hitter *AND a AOE* And also she only needs 100 energy for her ultimate , which allows you to perform key actions considerably faster than many other characters who requires 120 energy instead
@@mattyd337 no joke. I had one accumulated instance of DoT damage proc on Svarog for 75k. Plus kafkas four star light cone amplifies shock and Enid shear.
I did this too and brought asta along aswell. It's so fun using those 3 on w4. With Nihility Go for the trait with 100% debuff, you'll see the boss HP chip away like nothing.
Hey. I just saw this video, and I really want to thank you for the guild on building Serval. However, I'm using Make the World Clamor, and it really does well. I can use her ult more, and deal extra damage, and now that I have her at E6, she'll deal way more, but once I get more of her traces unlocked.
I just got her to E5 and I'm in love with her. I was trying to get Sampo but I'll take it haha. Also got Kafka but haven't really levelled her yet because I'm so dedicated to Serval and my other units first xD
She's my main erudition because Pulling for seele ruins my saving, currently have 0 jade and tickets so jing yuan is a no go. She hit's like a truck even with no eilodon. Definitely carrying me clearing all the content as I only got seele yesterday 😂
Serval is great on Jarilo VI cause there's so many robots. Good early game option. I decided to try Qingque as my 4th party member and she's SO much fun. My Serval is on the bench for now but did not regret using her.
Serval is way too underated cause people put her way too low on tier lists. I legit talked to a guy swearing she was horrible even though it showed he never even read what she did. Her and that Passkey really make for a fun character to play all around, paired with Sampo with full Nihility on Svarog is just so fun. I'd love if you made a Qingque guide too since she's a very missunderstood character and i feel like again, people don't even read her kit cause they hear she's not viable when in reality, aside from he turn 1 there's not AS MUCH rng as people make it seem. If not, a Sampo guide cause he's also a hidden gem unlocking one of the funniest playstyles. Especially in Simulated Universe, not to mention he's going to make Kafka shine a tremendous amount.

serval is the reason I was able to beat savoroc and world 2 with no issues. shes an amazing f2p unit don't sleep on her. she still carries me to this day.

This game has a lot of future hope hoyoverse add some co-op events with much tougher monsters it would be fun.. just like in Disidia Opera Omnia.. and the characterers with preeptive buffs and off turn atacks that would be so cool.. excited on those.. She’s my AoE/sub dps. Easy ult, great aoe Dmg. I run her with seele, march, and Natasha. Seele is main dps. March for shield. Nat for health. Nat is interchangeable depending on enemies

I don't know but I think energy regen on rope is good, I think she'd be a good ult bot in the late game with her signature lightcone, can't wait to try her with Kafka
I feel like Serval's sig might be underestimated a lot. Or maybe I'm overestimating it? She seems to be an ult-spammer unit (low energy cost, energy gain eidolon), so getting a fat dmg% on her ult seems nice.
Serval is the only unit I deal damage with. . .I should probably work on that for forgotten hall. Anyway, she is incredibly good since the game currently has very few choices for f2p. In any category, really. I hope I will use her for a while, since I like her character a lot.
Serval is a straightforward kit unit....Just Apply Shock status...Skill cost friendly as long as you keep enemies Shocked...that even her basic attack can make do with her Talent passive.
Had her in though as to who to upgrade next, I'm really just focusing on supports for now, even for 5* , so no pulls until silver wolf or kafka. Might be a slow approach but I'm pretty sure it will pay out, serval looks great for what I'm trying to achieve so definitely gonna give her a chance :D
don't know why but when i saw "att%" that triggered me so hard ^^ and really waiting the e2 video demo too. might be a good build in SU to charge the special since it gain energy when you ult from what i saw
Contrary of most ppl I dont think having two erudition chars of the same element is a problem. Most likely Serval + the General or Kafka will be a killer combo for enemies weak to lightning. She is also Dot focused while Jing is follow attack focused so they cant suplement different playstiles and teams. ITs also sad that there is not some kind of elemental resonanse when you have 2 units of the same elemt
no in-game mechanic or character that has a passive elemental resonance, but Asta's lightcone does that; it adds 12% damage (at base) to an attack with the same element as the user of the lightcone.
Many content creator are saying dmg percentage are better than attack percentage alot , attack percentage is good in the beginning but at the late game crit dmg / crit chance and dmg percentage are far more better than attack percentage , if you want proof go watch OkCode video about "These Light Cones are SCAM"
Lost 50/50 on Seele to yanqing and got to pity 63 before using a kind of built serval She made me beat forgotten hall 8 with ease at 3 stars (before it was 2 stars) although I am going for jing yuan I am happy to say serval and asta can be used in a second team to help destroy the shields
I personally don't think the break build is good for Serval.. mainly because Lightnigh Break Scaling is only 1 x Level x Max Toughness Multiplier. Whereas, Fire and Physical are 2 x Level x Max Toughness Multiplier.
tbh I don't think Kafka even powercreeps Serval simply bc Kafka and Serval work really well when used together, like I used that combo in cbt 2 and they were able to shred even enemies not weak to lightning at all pretty easily bc of how well their kits synergized now granted this was cbt 2 and there will have been changes to numbers and stuff since then but I'd imagine whatever Kafka's kit looks like when she actually releases it should still be a pretty good combo
I do love her but her damage really isn't great. She does do a good job breaking however, so I will concede that. I pivoted Arlan? And haven't regretted that decision at all. I don't plan on rolling on the five star electric heroes at all, so using him for bigger damage is why I pivoted to him. I do occasionally bring her out though
@@thebest3702 Yes, I think he is a much better pure damage dealer. He also still does bring some AOE with his ultimate. But single target damage. He has it
e4 is really big cause it lets you do ult into skill if the enemy doesn't have shock and you recover way more energy, if you ult up when your turn starts youd do skill - ult to apply shock and get the passive damage when you use skill but you'll miss out on a ton of energy having to do this
One mistake, she is not a "F2P" unit, any more than any other 4*. We only get her for "free" as a release reward. Meaning, for someone starting in 3 months, she ain't F2P anymore. Another mistake is underestimating her "signature" light cone. atk% buff is less valuable than lets say "deal more damage with X buff" or crit damage. And another thing that pushes that light cone being decent is: her trace of getting +15 energy when entering the battle. And finally, her playstyle seems to be focused round her ultimate and basic attacks. Meaning she will work very well with a certain foxy lady that can restore energy and give an atk buff. Which again, makes light cones that give atk % as their bonus stats less impactful. Also as you mentioned, we will soon get 2 more very powerful electro units. At least one of them will power creep serval unless you go the "ultimate spam" route. And even then it will be interesting. Oh and ps: as far as I'm concerned all units are "f2p", they are not gated by spending money, just by luck. The only thing that I'd consider not f2p friendly is: E levels on 5*s, limited 5* light cones and high E levels on new 4*s. Such as, few to none will have e6 Serval this patch as the game just released, but maybe in 5 months there will be a lot of f2ps with high E levels on her.
Well, one of the generally accepted definitions of f2p unit is "you're guaranteed to get 1 without using a premium currency or relying on luck". So, not all units are an f2p unit.
@@danielak1666 then Serval is definitely not one of them. The only ones are: MC, March, Dan, Asta, Herta, Natasha and that QQquantum Erudition girl (Qingque) That's it. But let be real for once, what f2p player only has those characters? right one that has never summoned cleared forgotten hall floor 3 and quit at lv21. Everyone else will have more.
I don't pull for jing or for kafka so she will stay for a long time as my only lightning aoe unit so i will maxed the shit out of her ! Her design is really good so it's a big + too !
Is there any particular reason to invest in Serval if I’m most likely going to get Jing Yuan? He seems to fulfill the same function/role as her except better due to higher scalings. Unless you use Serval for Kafka comps in the future? Also, how does Jing Yuan compare to Kafka’s DoT teams since both are AoE Electric units but with different comps/play styles (don’t know how good/bad her DoT comps could be)?

i somehow pulled to E4 serval and i still want jing yuan i know serval is dot and jing yuan is burst but still the fact that their both lightning makes me wanna drop one over the other. but I need two teams so maybe i can still use her for a 2nd team with danheng
@@VolkinYT Are there any particular differences between their DMG potential for F2Ps (E0 and no Signature Lightcone)? Seele seems to be fine as she’s still going to be top ST DPS with pseudo AoE from her resets, but worried about Jing Yuan due to the lack of good F2P Erudition Lightcone (gap between Signature and BP vs F2P options seem significant). Also worried about how Jing Yuan is late game with the emphasis towards minimal Turns used to clear.
Could use community opinion, got my first good(I hope) Gold gear not for Serval drop: Knight's Forgiving Casque Head, I lvled to 15, and got this stats in order: HP 705,DEF 40,ATK 8.2%,DEF 4.3%, CRIT Rate 9.0%. Would you guys use this on your Gepard? Or would be better on March 7/ Fire MC? Or is bad and i should just get a new head with different stats(Faming for Serval but this only some what good gear I found)
I'm a sucker for DoT team comp so my plan for my 2nd team is to have sampo, serval, Kafka and a defensive support. Any thoughts on how they interact with each other? 🤔🤔

Honestly, my problem with Serval is that she's TOO good haha. She makes summoning for Jing Yuan questionable lol. I know that's weird to say, but in terms of what my account needs, I need Seele more, but Jing Yuan's 4*'s more. All because Serval is such an amazing F2P unit by herself.
