Personally i like to get dressed up and look sharp, whenever I put on a suit, I will always wear it with a shirt and tie. A tie makes the outfit more elegant.

I agree,.you have to want to wear a tie rather than having to wear one. Having this mindset means you'll wear one more confidently and it will show!

Chris is right; wasn’t so long ago that office dress for men included jackets and ties. Now, save some professions, near anything goes if it technically passes for clothing. Even at funerals the lack of ties, and any proper dress is evident. I’ll always opt to wear a tie for the obvious reasons of completing an outfit, sartorial finish, personal enjoyment and professional demeanor.
