King was definitely waiting for you to whiff a few times. There are many instances were SSR AOP is a King's (and others) worst enemy, and normal AOP ESPECIALLY for their high throws and if they have a specific place they like to use it in their 'cadence.' Great way to knowledge check them until they adjust. Sometimes they don't. lol.
I won't lie I quit playing Tekken once I hit higher ranks that walk back constantly and do nothing but punish fight style absolutely killed the game for me I love fighting win or lose but when I'm constantly running up to throw hands just so you can wait and punished with a 3 year combo I call it quits. I'll just play with my friends and wife from now on by Tekken 8!
Once in a great while you run into players like this King. All space defense. Block everything until you do an unsafe move for them to punish. Just feels like a wall. Ran into a Lee like this in Tekken 8 not too long ago and a few others in Tekken 7.
@@TrickyEileen Some people legit can't tell between a 1 and a 1+2. I made to Raijin being one of them. At least it will frustrate them to start ducking or retaliate with a throw of their own. Also you have to experiment to see what breaks neutral guard. IamOP did a video on it a few years ago.
@@lucky-13gof47 I suppose I don't want to rely on tactics that rely on my opponent just, well being bad. I want my strats to scale with my skill improvement. So it might work now, but I want it to work later too.
@@TrickyEileen I'm not telling you to do it every time, just to frustrate them in that particular situation. T8 is not made like T7 where everything is black and white, otherwise Knee and Arslan would still be winning.
