Do you feel like you age in reverse?
@Aldo-Hugo
@Aldo-Hugo 2 года назад
No. You’re missing the part where we where already very childish and crazy but we were met with consequences that ultimately hinder us on being and expressing our true selves. With experience we come to realize and understand the truth. I am told that I have been acting more childish lately and I figure it’s because of this.

I think it's part of the proccess of initiating your intuition. As you are young, especially in the INFJ case when you are an introvert with all tha negative stereotypes that come with it and with all that subconscious work of the Ni, you feel like you can't control your life and personal reality, because you can't consciously inpower your intuition, but as the years pass and you learn more and more about how your mind work's you will feel more confidеnte and as a result more easy going. For example now I don't have any bad felings about my bullies in school, because I know that now I can overpower them.

I guess, the process of "ageing in reverse" or regeneration depends also on the objective factors. INFJ-children & young adults are often very sensitive, kind and try to make everybody happy. They "carry the weight of all the world's sorrow" on their shoulders. They spend all their time&energy, trying to help others, heal others, save others. As a result, they have not time&energy left to play and live their own lives. But as they mature, they realise, that not all the people deserve to be saved, - some are just mean, and INFJ should not waste their valuable time on such jerks. Time&energy should be spent only on good people and those, who INFJ loves and who love INFJ back. That approach frees lots of energy, and finally INFJ can live own live, and have fun, and enjoy the sun and time of leisure. Simply put, after INFJ gets mature enough to protect themselves from being manipulated, abused and drained by bad people, they can finally be happy and become real children in the best possible way.

Yes! At 36 I find myself more carefree than when I was young. While everyone else around me is becoming bitter and cynical and look at me like I'm crazy. I'm more willing to be silly, make a fool of myself... Be "the fun uncle". I had to be an "adult" as a kid and it nearly ruined me... Now that I'm an adult, know my own strength, been through "hell and back" and seen what I've accomplished.... Try not to "take life so seriously"

This makes so much sense. I am 37, but I have felt like a teenager these last few years, taking "reckless" chances and being carefree more, even though I have more responsibilites. I was a very serious, responsible teenager... my theory was that I mentally can't age anymore. I have felt 35, and sometimes 70, all my life, being called mom and grandma by my friends and always anxious and careful in my choices.

I think its cuz of that weird learning curve you talked about, where at first the INFJ has a harder time than everybody else because they can't process all the messy details, but as they get older and get more of the big picture figured out, they have it so figured out nobody can touch it, they are happy for life. At least, I hope so😊

One of my personal favorite archetypal characters is Rafiki from the lion king. It's the same character as Yoda. I could sense the idea in this video is potent. He seems like a playful childlike character until he busts out his ninja self when required. He has developed mastery, but doesn't need to show it off. He is the shaman who understands how it all comes together. I've been saying this out loud in the last year or so, that it's time for my real childhood. I'm looking forward to the lightness I'm experiencing now. Awesome video, very affirming.

This really describes my life. I’ve reached middle age. My parenting responsibilities have been fulfilled. And I have also spent the past several years evaluating the nature and basis of my relationships with others. A number of more or less toxic people have been removed from my life or moved to the periphery. In this whole process I have at some point given myself permission to do the things that inspire me. Throughout my life I have felt obligated to make others lives the focus of my efforts. I mean, I instinctively know how they’re doing and want them to be the best they can be. But now I’ve discovered that it’s completely okay for ME to experience life and.... to enjoy my life. Better late than never?

This is so on point for me right now! At 29, finally all the illusions I had are gone. The world isn't as sparkly, society not as fair and academics not as smart and high-class as I thought when I was younger. The world is chaos and therefore I can do what I want! Since this revelation I fell like "Let's go wild, kids!" and do things I never did. Like I knew I was afraid of heights and never went climbing. But I never had that experience and still wanted to make it and then did it and had a great experience :D I think it's just what that study with old people concluded: they never regretted what they did, just what they didn't do!

I def dont look like my peers, i dont complain about aging the way my peers do. And when people find out my age, they are either baffled or surprised. At 41, I just have 3 grey hairs, i have no wrinkles, no bags. Maybe its cause I dont drink alcohol or smoke tobacco. I workout moderately almost everyday (nothing intense, walking, situps, jump rope and shadow boxing, no weight lifting). I dont have STDs. I minimize my sugar intake. whatever the case, this video really hit home. As crazy as this sounds, im actually excited to get older, not that I wanna get older faster, its just that, the thought of it makes me very curious about how I would think about the world at an older age because how I think now is vastly different 20 years ago.

So interesting. Something people have commented on with me is that I am so much ‘younger’ than I was twenty years ago when I seemed to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders. It’s also why life gets better as I get older. But that’s also down to being able to live the life I want to live, no matter what others think.

This video like a lot of videos from Wenzes really hit home. I often joke to my (few lol) friends that I'm reverse aging, except that it's not really a joke, I've felt this way for quite a while now. Until today, I've never thought of it as an 'INFJ thing' if it is, I think it's a very good thing .I'm 59 y/o, and I don't think, talk or look like my age peers -this is an 'Externally observable fact ' :-) I think maybe it is the INFJ's superpower, the alternative is embracing aging, and that sucks.

I can say that while this has been the most stressful 6.5 months of my life, and there are days I think age me at warp speed. But so far no more gray hair and lots of energy. I've been tested and re-tested INTJ, and am told I seemed older as a teen by the people who knew me in my youth. Now I am told I look like I'm in my 30's. Are many just BS' ing me to get something, or have I truly become more youthful in terms of realizing that my life could end at any moment and not wanting to leave my children orphans? That applies to the general trend, but upbringing would also significantly change how one develops their functions. My Fe-Ti developed late. Living in a family of Se, Fi and Te sensors, it actually forced early development of my Se. I was highly curious, escaping home alone to contemplate on nature to calm my anxiety. Abit like a "naughty kid" seen by others. The unfortunate part for me was the suppression of Fe all life, living around Fi users. Succumbing to the expectations of others, constantly beating myself up without knowing why. Experienced both being "naughty" and "obedient", crushing my life twice and forced to find balance. But I'll say that once INFJs developed their 3 main functions, they would already appear like "old souls". Only when Se develops, thats when the age reverse starts. The exploration driven by "Why" really ramps up.

After leaving my career blossomed & I realised then it was pure jealousy. Years later I have a career with no stress as those I left behind had to fight with the public for the same jobs. Short term for long term gain. This is exactly how my life has gone. I am now halfway to 31 (an INTJ, coincidentally) and my experiences have become considerably more positive the last few years as I have begun to stop the fatal mistake of converting my internally formed ideals into expectations. This in comparison to when I was 18-25 and totally lost in my own intuition and negative internal cycles (and occasionally destroying relationships with very unnecessary outbursts of insensitive extraverted thinking). After years of living in my own head, I started to play tennis a few years ago out of the blue and just won my first tournament. I have the energy of 3 people my age, and at the same time I do not look a day over 20 thanks to years of healthy choices while I have seen a lot of other people peak early and go downhill. ive been 'introverted' all my teenage/early adult life. i was secure, proud and happy with my function until i hit the wall and it seems the comfort of my built in indentity which pronunced by the branch of information i adhere no longer appease me as it used to be. the solid coccooned identity seems get loosened as time goes by and this subtle feeling of getting lost is unnerving yet i know its a transition. it just means i no longer get a kink of being so internal or maybe it has become so natural, having studied myself for so long, i dont get hyper activated or enthused by deep ideas anymore and... extraverted sensing is ones capacity to sense thusly work with people in a harmonious manner no matter the personality type is. adaptability to any circumstances... -shrug

Skipped out of 1hr Bootcamp promo and viewed this vid. You hit a target for me. I have found that the teacher in me from all my experiences across a very broad spectrum of topics and experiments has come to the fore in later life. And it has become satisfying fun for both me as tutor and the wide age range of successful students that I engage with . I have always had a belief that until your latter years you have knowledge, but with age comes wisdom, the application of sound robust knowledge. And when that childlike extroversion is over, it is nice to slip into the introverted space for more evolution and knowledge. NIce Vid. Thanks

This is soooooo interesting!!!!!!! I had no idea this was an "INFJ thing"....I've actually joked many times that I'm "growing down" instead of growing up. For me it feels as if I had a LOT to figure out in the first half of my life ...a lot of struggles...etc.. And eventually once my intuition sort of "built" a kind of "theory of life" that proved to be stable over time, it's as if all the "hard" work is done, and I can now relax a little and roll with life without feeling like there's something I really need to be seriously working on or working out. Yea, I still do plenty, but I feel like what I do is easier and that the hardest part is behind me, and I actually AM more playful the older I get!

I'm an INFJ and I just came across this channel. Everything you said was spot on and I had no clue that others felt the same way. It feels great to know I'm not alone. I'm 40 now and definitely enjoy it more than my 20s. Although I did a lot when I was younger I cant say I enjoyed myself. I was too much in my head about everything and I was mostly following what I thought I should be doing based off what others were enjoying. Now I take my time and seek out experiences that resonate with me. Thank you for your advice.

Yes, this mirrors my lifelong (59 years) experience. As a child, I felt I was robbed of childhood through a level of maturity beyond my tender years. On reaching my mid-20s, I was comsidered by some ro be 'immature' because of my then jocular demeanor. I suspect I am in search of 'lost' childhood.

how many INFJ actually believe in TIME? I always thought that if you follow the Sun, the day will never end thus being "lost" in time, like that lady that flew a plane a long time ago. Or that airplane from the 50s or 60s that landed then took off due to their fear. And all those ships with the Bermuda Triangle. Does Time really exist? Even the souls in "Heaven" doesn't think time is a joke.

I’m 23 and INFJ and compared to other people of my same age, I don’t have enough experiences basically in everything - from friendships (I don’t have friends) to any experience any person in their early 20s has and does. I’m trying to change this but sometimes it’s hard because it seems that certain circumstances are higher that me that can impact everything. I’m trying to do my best now to live more compared to my teen years but sometimes it’s hard and it seems that everything is stuck in one place

I think there are 2 reasons for this readjustment in life. 1. As we near or reach our life goals, which often mean a life style of harmony, peace and physical and emotional security we enjoy the fruit5of our labor. 2. We become better at recognizing the trivial and unimportant adverse effects of negative occurrences or influence in our lives. At least that's always been my objective.

There's another thing this lady brought up insinuations expectations you should never expect anything you should always accept the unexpected in contrast to acknowledging it along with what society expects from you but you should never expect anything from anyone but yourself you need to know yourself and be honest and truthful with yourself once you are truthfully honest with yourself and you know yourself you know the beast that's everyone you don't know their little corks you don't know them personally but you know the more oh how do I say common traits that makes us the mammal we are the entity we are as a whole even though we might be different in societal setting everyone has those traits some more than others depending on how they're more values are things of that nature like honesty or hatred or complete ignorance but the more you understand yourself and be honest with yourself and figure out the reason why things are working or not working and what's the problem within it that you working out with yourself you'll have the aspect if you can identify the problems correctly with everyone else that is in our nature has a type of being we are just like if you have a dog you will know that some dogs are a little bit more intelligent seems some dogs learn easier some dogs forget things easier but they are all naturally and since acting the same when it comes to there animalistic nature I know people hate it when I say we're mammals but that's the truth of it we are an animalistic natured creature just like anything else that is a mammal

2:47 Recently by reading most of INFJ comments, seems most of us we devellopped Ni Ti Fe Se, and it's normal. Because Introverts people prefer introverts functions, and extroverts people prefer extroverted functions. I don't think the orders of the functions are developped in the same order for all individuals. Seems our middle functions are on the same level AsuraPsych - MBTI Cognitive balance : 2 auxiliary functions : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ayZG9lyNPWw.html&t Age in reverse I think yes in the sense : From Ni wisdom to Se amusement/fun.

My problem with Extraverted Sensing is the seductive lure and addiction that curiosity causes. When I'm about to "discover" or remember something of a past life or the "Other Side" I have a tendency to "forget" to sleep, eat, bathe, ect. When we get older or about to die, we "remember" (subconsciously) what it's like to do these things again and it get us anxious like suspense. You know that similar feeling you get when your about to leave school (Earth) to go back home (Heaven, Summerland, Utopia, ect) and play that new video game or drive your new car...vibe. Se just gets in the way.
