I still remember when I was in elementary school and everyone was talking about the expensive iPhone X, everyone wanted one and if you had one you were automatically the coolest one around. It's crazy that it still sits so fresh in my memory, but yet it's been over 6 years! Still looks new to me.
Right? I think I was in 4th-5th grade when it came out, which is kinda crazy. 6 years feel right to the amount of time it’s been since, idk about the rest of you
God this makes me feel so old haha. I was 22 when these came out and it was the first (and only) iPhone I ever bought for full price at the Apple Store instead of financing through a carrier. I absolutely loved it, at the time it felt leagues ahead of most other phones on the market especially the iPhone 8 series. I went in there with the intention of buying an 8 Plus but after using the iPhone X in person I couldn't turn it down. It's funny looking back on it now though because that notch looks HUGE!!
When I was in 12th grade, this was the dream phone for everyone! One of my classmate had it and I remember always staring at it in desire… Fast forward to now, I have the 15 Pro and a XS Max and I end up usually my XS Max more mostly because of it’s beautiful shiny back, the rounded edges and 3D Touch of course!! X and XS series are definitely incredible!
If Apple is done designing mini phones and won’t use those bodies for the next SE, I’d love for them to use this design and add Touch ID to the power button for those who still want it.
I loved the 2017 iPhones, I never had one but I wanted one during the iOS 11 cycle. I remember watching the September 2017 announcements in English class waiting all period for the X reveal only for them to make it the very last announcement
honestly i agree, this is still probably one of the greatest phones apple has ever made with the screen and body redesign and it would be great for someone to buy second hand and try out apple’s software
It feels like a flagship even now in 2023 bcs the iphonees haven't change the design since then. P.S. Apple did change the design to all its flagships now, but i hope u get what i meant!!!!
I have a XS. Still agree though, those polished stainless steel sides, the notch, and beautiful back glass (that wasn't replaceable at first) I got mine recently used on iOS 14. Unfortunately I had to update it though, just because I am using it as a main. Love your channel iClassic!
I still have an iPhone XS. I must have been 15 when I got it, but I only got one cuz my dad brought it and didn’t want it anymore so I took it. Its great… love it and I didn’t realise the 3D Touch is something in this phone only. Now 6 years later, it’s still a good phone… gets overheated a bit tho and i had to get the battery replaced. But I did update to IOS 17 so maybe that’s why it overheats now. But it is a revolutionary phone.
I remember when the X came out. I was mind blown and hyped. Always wanted one ever since then but couldn’t afford it. I was 8 years old at the time and now I’m already 14. Currently using an XS Max that I got recently as I switched from my XR that I got 3 years ago.
I have an iPhone 15 pro max and a z fold 5, and I still use my iPhone X because it's still fast, and it's so much lighter than my other phones, I still love it! 6 years and counting
I'm still using my iPhone x and have no issues with it, I've dropped it a Zillion times and it hasn't broken yet , the cameras are still good , it functions perfectly fine, I had the battery replaced because the phone kept shutting off now it's back to amazing battery life, if I had the extra money I'd probably buy the iPhone 11 only because I don't care about having 5g and the battery drain it causes.
I wonder how many iPhones exist with their original major iOS version like this iPhone X with iOS 11. I have an iPhone 11 Pro running its original iOS 13.7 and if Apple wasn't so bitchy about downgrades it definitely wouldn't be a collectible 😅
In curious. You talked about how rare is to have an iOS 11 iPhone X at the beginning. Can’t one just flash the older firmware? I did it with the iPhone 4s to last iOS 6 version and everything was fine like no one could tell I did that
I just bought it because my A54 broke and it feels good to be back, it is older and slower but smoother than A54, it feels amazing for a 6 year old phone and it's perfectly usable even for games like mighty doom tho I recommend 30 fps mode because 60 fps can quickly overheat the phone which drops performance down after like 5 minutes.
@@julianbonskilzz yes. I will buy a new phone. But i cant still decide. Maybe se 3 128 or mi 13t pro 512? “why doesn't he get a new phone?” you may be thinking but in my country we pay almost 100% tax (128gb iPhone 15 pro is 2300 dollars 😂). If I buy Android i can buy it from another country without tax and flash the IMEI number of one of my old 2G phones and as a result the device will be half the price.
When I first saw iphone x on flyer, I wondered “wow what a weird iphone, no home button and full screen, I haven’s seen any phone like this so far” That was my dream phone and now I finally have iphone x (s)
2:30 what the fuck???? What the fuck.. you got to HOLD the app switcher to close apps? Oh my goooosh 🤣🤣🤣 and I have tried almost 5 different screens on my 11.4.1 iPhone X and thought app switcher is broken 😂😂😂 I’m so glad I have seen this video. I was using voice over to close apps from app switcher since the VoiceOver required swipe up with two fingers only, and no hold 😂😂
I was in 7th grade when it came out, I thought it was the coolest shit ever. At that time I just had my iPhone 7, and I thought it was cool; but the iPhone X was some cool shit when it came out
You forgot the most important thing that made iPhone X a revolutionary device other than Face ID of course. That was Apple OLED. This was the first time Apple was able to create an OLED that was just as advanced as LCD technology. But now with the upsides of OLED, which is infinite contrast
Finally a RU-vidr who properly says "iPhone Ten" instead of "iPhone Ex" (Even though you accidentally said "iPhone Ex" once lol). I thought the idea of Apple using roman numerals for the 11, 12, and so on would have been cool but they probably noticed so many people saying the name wrong for the phone they probably passed on that lol
