EXACTLY LIKE ITS DISGUSTING LIKE YES YOU FIND HIM ATTRACTIVE OK COOL BUT HES LITERALLY SUFFERING IN A JAIL CELL FOR SELF DEFENSE AND MENTALLY STRUGGLING WITH HIS TRAUMAS
Ppl who kill their abuser SHOULD NOT be guilty. That’s just not right 1/18/21 Edit: For all the ppl that are saying "but that's not right", "that should not be a reason to kill sm1" etc. He would've got killed in prison anyways or if not killed, tortured. So it really wouldn't matter anyways if they have just gone to the police.
It enrages me how they hurried him to answer. If you’ve ever been abused you know the pain that comes when words like that coming out of your mouth it’s so painful. The vain pop, you can tell he has so much anger towards them. I feel for them. The confusion they lived, the shame. They themselves thinking they were gay because of what was done to them, the confusion, I can’t imagine.
It's traumatic for me to watch their testimonies, so I can't even imagine how it felt and how traumatising it was to live through all that horrible horrible tortuous part of their life... In addition to this, it makes me furious that they are still in jail. They were victims themselves. Yes, killing a human being is never OK, but to imprison 2 victimised men when they probably need very serious psychological support and treatment/therapy. That just proves that judicial system is broken, not working they way it should.... 🤦🤦🏻♂️🤦🏿♀️
It angered me how they tried to rush him i wanted to punch whoever was forcing him to hurry u can even see the pain in his eyes hear the emotion it’s something very traumatic to answer and it takes some time to
They kept this in for decades and to finally get a chance to say it out loud what they had experieced all those terrible years was extremely traumatic and emotional. I have no pity for the parents, the father was a monster and the mother an enabler, she admitted to one of the boys after an incident that had him in tears that she knew exactly what was going on, thats why she was not spared, she knew and did nothing!
How cruel life can be for some people. A lifetime of abuse, and then the rest of what’s left of that life spent in prison. Wrong on so many levels. Surely this case must be reopened
Sadly the truth of many crime cases, people grow up in extremely unfortunate circumstances, choose to commit some actions you can never go back from, and then land life in prison. But society doesn’t care what the reason is, they only care about what you did and that sole action becomes the sole trait of your character
i’m so sick of people judging them and blaming them for killing their parents despite knowing about the abuse they suffered from when all they ever wanted was freedom
They weren't 8, 9 or 11 y.o when they commited those crimes, they were around 18 and 21. They weren't poor, they had all the opportunities in terms of getting psychological/psychiatric help, in terms of getting a good lawyer to go against their father, in terms of seeking for professional help unlike poor people who depend on the public system (that you know it has never been good). They had higher education, so they both had more tools to find a way to take revenge legally. They decided to go the criminal way, they understood the criminality of their actions, they bought weapons two days prior to the killings, and during that time they didn't stop, but they continued pursuing their criminal act. Once they killed their parents they started to live a luxurious life, spending a lot of money in luxury items, showing no remorse at all... So, to me this goes beyond resentment, this was mostly criminal behavior and perhaps psychopath minds working together. It's heartbreaking to see them try to talk about S.A, but those sad expressions should be taken with a grain of salt, not forgetting their situations and privileges prior to the killings they decided to commit... Anyways, people can easily fall for a pretty face and an athletic body in tears, and this seem to be one of those cases. I think they both got what they deserved.
1:26 The way she mockingly said that… made my blood boil. Just the humanity in her. There were none. These prosecutors needs to put humanity over their careers. The jury chose to help the abusers rather than the victims.

They killed the person they blame for S.A. so that's another case, and the person they killed was not able to defend himself (you don't know if those S.A stories are real)... They called the cops in tears after watching a Batman movie... People judge the jury, but they know much better than you why they gave that sentence. You weren't there, you're just watching two pretty boys crying and that's the only thing you have to judge them. Ridiculous
I doubt they were sain enough to think about getting a lawyer Why would they show remorse for their rapists? Any one would become a psychopath if those were their "parents" So what if they had alot of money?no amount of money can justifie rape, they werent acting spoiled. By your logic, its your fault if you get raped if you can defend yourselves.
if they were ugly, unattractive kids then you wouldn't believe them the fact that they are attractive and well spoken make them very easy to sympathize with
They didn't "fight back." They murdered their parents in cold blood. An abusive childhood is not an excuse for murder. They were both more or less adults when they committed the murders. There's just no excuse. It's terrible what they went through, of course it is. I don't deny that-I don't think anyone does. But past abuses does not mean that you get a pass to murder others. It just doesn't. It's evil in return for evil, that's all. Revenge is never a solution.
They killed a monster. You can see the deep pain when they describe the cruel situations. I don't understand why the trial needs details when it's obviously heartbreaking for them to mention it.
The fact he told his cousin when they were ten makes me believe their story. The cousin is a very successful man and could lose everything for lying for them. It doesn't make sense, especially as they weren't close the older the brothers got. It just shows that they didn't fabricate this story to kill their parents for their money. Imo that is.
This case needs to be reopened. The way that they even forced them to say everything when they clearly were uncomfortable about talking about the sexual abuse.
@@mel_icka but the way they we’re forcing Erik to answer the questions while crying was so rude she should’ve let him take his time. You can tell he seemed uncomfortable with talking about the abuse.
@@crxz___1938 I know, in other videos u can see she learns from that. I think if u watch the videos from the perspective of knowing she was his lawyer and was trying their best to help him. She had to get every detail clearly from them so the jury don’t say they’re being manipulative so she tended to ask quick questions so they don’t have time to lie or make up a memory but yeah that particular question I think she shouldve waited. But at learning they actually became close because she was really trying to help it made it less cringe for me
Sexual child abuse is more common in all family demographics than anyone ever wants to admit. I have so many friends who have admitted to me that they were sexually abused as children or even teenagers, usually either by a family member or someone close to the family. And they've usually never told anyone in the family about what happened to them, but it still effects them to this day. And I can't blame them because I vividly remember a very good friend of mine in middle school finally telling another friend in our group that her father raped her, which was why she never wanted any of us to stay over at her house. She was always asking to come stay with any of us for the weekend and now I know why. Our friend then told her parents, and it all came out from there. My friend's parents were both arrested because her mom knew about it, and then she had to basically go into hiding because her father's family was claiming she was a liar and that her father would never do that to her and were literally threatening to come hurt her. A thirteen year old girl and their own family member. I saw all this happening myself so it's not something I was just told about. I feel for the Menendez brothers and anyone else who was abused so horrifically by people they should have been able to trust and never felt like they could tell anyone.
I agree; it is extremely common and every close relationship i've had they speak of childhood sexual abuse. My 3 longer term relationships with men each spoke of childhood sexual abuse. I am sure it's embarassing to mention and fear tactics are usually used to keep them quiet which is why it's not often reported. People acting like this is unusual is what's suprising.
What was the mother doing? It really boils my blood when one parent hides another parent’s bad deed for selfish reasons.Such parents who abuse their children should be publicly humiliated
I can't imagine how embarrassing and traumatic it probably was to describe how your father sexually assaulted you in front of courtroom. That's so heartbreaking. I hope they both heal.
@Katherine Rain How would she be just as guilty tho? Maybe morally since she should have stopped it but she didn't (to my knowledge) abuse or harm the boys right?
@Katherine Rain that is not what I meant. Under the law maybe what the father did could be used against to reopen the case but what about the mother? She didn't abuse their kids physically, regardless of innocence she didn't do what the father did. But obviously I agree with what you are saying, but it doesn't justify their actions under the law then.
@@tinni.e_xx4399 Stfu you sound like the type of person to question a sexual abuse victim. Everyone them accountable for what they did, you are no expert in psychology to identify a real and non real victim.
You can see the look on the brothers face when they said they touched each other. Those kids were molded into whatever they are now. I don't have a lot of knowledge on the case but I wonder what age this started. The father and the mother sealed their own fates with how they treated those kids.

They were abused. Their mom knew about it and turned an eye to keep her lifestyle. They did what they thought was their only way to escape. Very sad story.

These brothers are either the best actors in the world or this is genuine emotion. I believe they genuinely were so upset with what happened to them that they stopped it the only way they could be sure it would never happen again. These guys should not be in prison for moment.

Even judges who were with them in court, said that there was no possible way they were acting like they were abused, they looked petrified and actually traumatized...so please do your research and don’t go and assume that they’re just psychos that killed their parents;))
Parents are supposed to take care of their children and teach them, protect them, etc. Their parents never did any of these things except giving them a nice house to live in. A nice house or nice life is not worth what they went through inside the house. Disgusting and they got exactly what they deserved
If the dad really do what he did he deserved every bit of it. And if the mom knew what was happening and didn’t stop the father and protect her kids then she’s worse then the dad himself. Truly sickening story. So sad
Very sad indeed. But why could the brothers not have gone to the police or talk to a social worker or their teacher at school or something? There are other resources besides killing in cold blood. However I think their parents drove the two of them temporarily insane which perhaps accounts for their actions. Just an educated guess.
