Fun fact every repeat champion dating back to 1988 with the lakers had at least 1 7 game series. Except for the 2000-2001 lakers and the 95-96 bulls. The 1988 lakers had 3 game 7 series. The 2013 heat had 2. Repeating is hard. Historically in the nba. But every decade other than the 70’s has had repeat champions. Some had multiple. Point is that back to back i championships are hard ( no diddy). If nuggets want to be remembered as an all time team. They are gonna have to earn. I hope late Sunday night they come out victorious!

I think the Nuggets need a true point guard. The Wolves have exposed their weakness. Sometimes you need to give credit to the other team rather blame your own team all the time. That would put you on even keel and see the game as the rest of the world sees it.

Matt is either biased/blinded/married to his take or straight up disingenuous about this Murray situation. It’s one thing if Murray isn’t great/good, it’s another when Murray is a downright liability on both ends. Murray shooting as poorly as he has and taking so many shots allows the wolves to get out in transition which is the easiest way for them to score. Murray in the last game took a ton of shots at the start of the game and missed them all allowing the wolves to get easy buckets. Then, on the other end, dude was lazy and inactive defensively, being picked on constantly. Dude was just catastrophic. Again, it’s one thing for Murray to not need to be great, but that’s not how this has gone. He has been a disaster offensively, but his lack of engagement defensively is inexcusable and hurts the team. Can’t have both, so he needs to be good on one end. It’s not fair for Jokic, the best player on the planet, to have to be THAT superhuman that he’s carrying a defensive liability and an offensive disaster. Murray is the second option, hold him to some sort of reasonable standard. He’s at times been as good as six man and you’re hoping Jokic makes up for that?

Why do Nuggets people keep saying it was that last Denver/Minnesota game in the regular season that gave them homecourt? It wasn't lol, they were even (2-2) and MN even held the tiebreaker after, if was the last Suns game that knocked them out of being the number 1 seed. Had they won that last game against the Suns they would've been #1 and had homecourt. Denver didn't take homecourt from MN, MN let it slip through their fingers and finished a single game behind OKC and Denver.

Honestly, I think the Timberwolves might be the better team. I think Nuggets are straining a bit. I expect this to be a hard fought game, but I would not be surprised to see the Wolves get out ahead. I don't have a good feeling about this game 7 for Jamal Murray for some reason, and nor for MPJ. I think both of them will have to have a good game for the Nuggets to win. A good game from Jokic is assumed, of course. They will need every bit of home court advantage they can get. This will be a great game.

What's troubling to me is that the Nuggets are shooting poorly on a consistent basis. Murray, MPJ or KCP shooting well is a rarity for the Denver in these playoffs.
