Fairest in context does not mean prettiest. It means palest. Snow White, because her skin was 'white as snow' was the palest. Once upon a time (across *many* cultures) pale skin on women was praised because it meant they were rich enough to stay inside, and not have to go out and work for a living.

He is a mirror that answers any question you ask him. He is just magical siri. He is probably annoyed by this vane bitch uses his infinite knowledge just to have him compliment her.

Cute and Funny. But inaccurate. The famous saying is "Magic Mirror on the wall, who's the fairest one of all?" I.E. The Queen is always going to the Mirror to get validation. The Mirror is at best an adviser. And it seems that the reason the Queen asks it questions is because it's magic gives it insight into what is going on in the world. Whose fault is it that the Queen spends so much time asking who is the fairest one of all? If a President asks a pollster "Do the American people like my new hair cut" and the pollster says "No" And then the President spends weeks looking for the worlds greatest barber/stylist meanwhile the economy tanks and the country goes to war. Who is to blame? The pollster who answered the President's question, or the President who was more concerned with his/her looks than with governing?

Have you ever noticed how much people whine about people who are easily offended? It's pretty ironic if you ask me

Wouldn't the joke work better if the queen came upon the realization all by herself? It really lessens the queen's value by having her listen to whatever anyone says, mirror tells her to kill then Snow White tells her to kill. The queen switches between masters while never thinking for herself.

So, the joke is that telling a woman that she's not the most beautiful woman in the world is worse than child abuse and attempted murder?

Something similar could be said about most disney villains. Lady Tremaine could have used Cinderella to improve her own standing amongst nobles, Jafar already had the sultan as his puppet so didnt need to rule, Gaston didnt need to obsess over the hipster girl who felt herself too good for the village she lived in, Scar had a good and respected life without responsibilities and ruined that by wanting to be king, Captain Hook should have sailed off to do some actual piracy instead of obsessing over a young boy, Stromboli could have made more money of a talking fox and cat than of a living puppet, and so on.

It's been a while since I've seen Snow White, but I thought the queen always just asked the mirror who was the fairest, I don't remember the mirror trying to indoctrinate the queen she was inferior to other women. This kind of seems like a really big stretch to make the queen the victim and the mirror the villain.

This makes so much sense. Woman asks man's opinion. Man gives opinion. Woman reacts to opinion. Man's fault. The accuracy is hilariously horrible.

So if a woman is being irrational or stupid, it is still a man's fault? She has no free will, or responsibility for her actions? If a man tries to manipulate her, she isn't smart enough to recognize it? You bemoan stereotypes that target women, while embracing those that target men? I almost never hear men comment negatively about a woman's looks- positively, sure, all the time, and in ways that may indeed be inappropriate/creepy; tearing women down based on looks, however, is usually done by other women, or perhaps gay men. I have pointed out that men do not care about nail polish, jewelry, etc., and have had multiple women tell me that they do not dress for men (who will want to have sex regardless), and that they actually put in all that effort so that other women will notice, and not tear them down. Let me guess, though- somehow that is also men's fault, and nothing bad done to a woman by a woman is ever a woman's fault... it is us evil men. Not to say that there isn't more pressure concerning looks when it comes to women, or that our culture doesn't glorify physical attractiveness, just that not everything is a guy's fault, and women have to take responsibility for their actions. Claiming independence/equality, while refusing to deal with double-standards/stereotypes that help women/hurt men doesn't really work, and undermines your claims about wanting equality/independence. Some might see this ending as empowering for women, since they destroyed the man that they blamed for all of their misdeeds, but it really said "Men are smart, and women are too stupid to know that they are being manipulated. Also, being manipulated gives you the right to kill. Lastly, if a woman tried to do another woman wrong, it is really a man's fault."

I was gonna make some puns about how they cracked the mirror or about how the mirror was literally on crack but I remembered that I don't wanna trigger any one.

I usually don't like Cracked videos, but it's legitimately heart warming to see Snow White and her step mother sit down and have a conversation. Regardless of whether the feminist message was good or not, I still really enjoy seeing this :)

The queen has a huntsman take a 7 year old out to the woods and kill her cause she's envious of her and tells him to carve out her lunges and liver(the huntsman lets her go and kills a bear instead) 4th. The queen eats the bear's lunges and liver because she thinks its snow's. 5th. When the queen finds out snow's alive she tries to kill her 3 times. So the queen is so envious of a 7 year old she cannibalizes her and plans to murder her 3 times and somehow shes not the villain and is a victim?

So the real villain in Snow white is men? Excellent.

Third time watching this and I finally figured out why I recognize Snow White! She made the genius Adult Wednesday Addams series! She's so great! I wish they hadn't gone after her for copyright and she could've continued. But I'm happy to see her here too!

I'm torn on this one. It WAS a nice idea and it worked out nicely, but it's also oh so blatantly pushing an agenda. I'm fine with satire and even political jokes, but if humor is used to make politics... I dunno... I mean, the mirror wasn't even given a gender in the tale. It was just a tool that was answeing any questions honestly. I guess I would've liked it more if this hadn't been made to be about a male douche trapped inside a mirror or something. The message could've been quite nice without that... Yeah, decision made. I don't like this. It's inappropriate gender-bias and until everybody has the right to be biased again occasionally, I will find that crappy.
