The second round of the NBA Draft went anything but expected for the Toronto Raptors based on the expectations of the fan base. All signs were pointing towards the Raptors having just the one selection at 31st overall but they ended the day having drafted three players for their organization. A shock trade saw them acquire the 45th overall pick from the Sacramento Kings where they selected Jamal Shead while another surprising trade saw them also add on the 57th overall pick where they selected Ulrich Chomche. The most surprising of the picks however was at 31 where they selected Jonathan Mogbo, an intriguing prospect who actually had Scottie Barnes present at his draft party.
