8:37 that says uses 12 blocks on the memory card. I don't have wind waker but have twilight princess gamecube japanese version and on the bottom left it has a CERO rating of B, aimed at users 12 and up, so the same as the US i guess

51:00 The reason why the mirror only broke in 4 pieces was stated in the game!!! Zant wasn't powerful enough to shatter the mirror into more than 4 pieces. It also shows that Midna was indeed far more powerful because she could completely shatter the mirror, unlike Zant.

Yes i thought that was obvious especially when midna destroyed it. From the time you find out she was the twilight princess and he usurped the throne it’s even said she was more powerful Then zant

@dogsbecute
@dogsbecute 26 дней назад
@@RexSerpentum nahhh while i think OoT still deserves its number 1 spot of all time because of the context surrounding that game and its era, TP is definitely the better game. The dungeon designs were top tier, the graphic fidelity pushed the gamecube to its limit, the wolf making epona kinda useless and some items being absolutely useless outside of their respective dungeons are the 2 areas OoT absolutely smashes TP. Combat, dungeon puzzles, numerous references to OoT, an actual Adult Link, the OG green tunic, the atmosphere, the exploration, the heart piece placements, all took OoT formula and turned it to 11. TP Link imo has the funner item set (but thats subjective, as well as enjoyment of the story, which to me, is also on par with OoT with how much i like it, and how much sense it makes, and how much it ties into the original OoT), and unfortunately TP Link lacks an instrument, they couldve made it really cool allowing us to actually learn the songs from the howling stones and they actually did things in the over world. all in all, i think TP took most of the things fans enjoyed about OoT and turned it to 11. They missed the mark on a few things for sure, and OoT is definitely still the best game of all time considering the context around it, but i certainly rate TP as my personal favorite zelda when all things are considered. Also, the music is subjective, i think it sounds wayyyyy better in TP, but the song variety was amazing in MM. TP wins in that department for me though because the music just sounds overrall crisper, and definitely adds to the atmosphere. Thats not to say MM has sht tier music, this is just again, taking the sound design and turning it to 11.

Honestly, I miss zelda games like this BOTW/TOTK are great games but I miss the old formula. This was my first Zelda game, which my dad got with a wii. Never had an N64 and windwaker never appealed to me at the time on the GC. TP will always hold a place in my heart for that alone but it's just a fantastic game. It led me to OOT on the 3DS and since then I've played them all now bar WW (which I'm currently playing through). Excellent video as well. You definitely deserve more views and subs.

My first Zeld game was OoT in the late 90s (because I'm *that* old^^), but TP will always be my all time favourite. I've played it on a Gamecube back then. I will watch every TP praise video there is on this app. Yours was very entertaining, and while I understand that you hate the Tears of Light sequences and Wolf Link, I simply cannot hate them. Everything ties in so beautifully in this game. As far as I'm aware (since I never played the WiiU HD version) they shortened these sequences significantly. So there was a time when Nintendo listened to critique and complaints from fans (looking at you, TotK, for doubling down on every issue that BotW had...). My personal "pet peeve" in this game is the resurrection of Ilyas memory. But even that part is entertaining as soon as you hear the Wild Wild West music in Old Kakariko. Oh, and when you have to deliver the Hot Spring Water to that tired Goron and all the enemies attack you and you only have limited time because the water cools down and the moment an enemy merely touches you the water barrel breaks.... I don't function well under stress^^ I kinda find it entertaining how you're always like "Ugh, I hate this part. Gosh, that's so annoying. Oh, this game is a masterpiece btw." 😄 I feel this whenever I replay OoT. I love this game, but everytime I'm at it, I remember how much I hate certain parts of this game^^ Regarding the Horseback combat, it's the first Zelda game in which you can fight with your sword while riding. In OoT and MM, you can only use bow and arrows on horseback. TP has, imo, the best design, aesthetic, music, dungeons, story, characters (this includes Link as the main character and obviously Midna), etc. I enjoyed WW when it came out, however I was never a huge fan of playing Child Link. Maybe because when I was 8 and played OoT for the first time, I had a huge crush on Adult Link (😅) so playing Child Link in MM and WW was kinda disappointing for me, so when I was 15, a full-blown teenage girl, having Adult Link in TP was... Very beneficial for my silly little crush 😂 but that anecdote aside, I simply love the look of this game. The more natural and earthy tones, Links tunic, the way Zelda is portrayed (finally she doesn't have greenish-yellow hair anymore). To this day, TP Link and Zelda are my all time favourites. I was severely disappointed when they announced SS and changed the looks so much. One reason why I never got fully warm with this game (don't get e wrong, it's not a bad game, but I'll always have a slight bias against it, can't help it). All in all, all I can say is: TP will forever be the GOAT, imho. Keep up the work, I enjoyed your video a lot.
@awsome182
@awsome182 Месяц назад
Oh and one more thing: in the game it's explained why Zant wasn't able to shatter the mirror like Midna did. The Sages explain that only the true ruler of Twilight has the power to truly destroy the mirror. And since Zant was an usurpator, he only was able to break the mirror into four pieces.

@awsome182 I'm much the same! I can't help but love this one in spite of its flaws. Played it as a kid, so you might say it's nostalgia, but I just can't help it. I'd play this again a hundred times before I pick up BOTW or TOTK again. It's a constant battle between this and Majora's Mask for my favorite Zelda. It's entertaining to hear your perspective on it, being somebody who didn't necessarily grow up with it but still enjoys it to such an extent. I normally only hear praises for the game by people around my bracket who played it first.

@awsome182
@awsome182 Месяц назад
@@stanstanstan2597 yeah it's a common thing that we hear; that people consider the game they played first to be the best. And I get this sentiment. My first video game I played was Little Big Adventure 2 in the 90s from a small French developer, and to this day I still consider it one of my all-time favourite games of all time. And while Ocarina of Time - my first Zelda game - is definitely close second of my favourite Zelda games, it's been the more mature tone and aesthetic of TP that catapulted it into first place for me ☺️

@kiki-chu4811 Месяц назад
I love this game so much. It was my childhood, staying up late to watch my dad play it while waiting for my mom to come home from her night shifts. My entire phone is themed on this. Midna notification sounds to the point where my father in law pointed out how her giggles creep him out, Zelda stickers, oot lanyard charm that I turned into a phone charm, songs from a RU-vidr piecing together the hero of time's missing story as ringtones, and art for my: lock screen, home screen, and even my keyboard. This game has impacted me so much and its still one of my all time favorite games, but I do prefer the 11 volume manga more because even though it may not be seen as canon, it just builds upon so much more to the game and has made emotional scenes Hurt you even more. Its beautiful and I will forever love this game. I bought it for my husband for his birthday so I can watch him play it so I can, in a sense, have a fresh start through his eyes. If they ever remake this game for the switch, I will buy it as soon as it comes out. To me, this will always be the best Zelda game.

And while I think some of TP's dungeons were great, others were really bad. Ones like Goron Mines or City in the Sky just dragged on for what feels like forever and I think items in general quickly become useless outside of their dungeons. That's what I mean by style over substance. The spinner is a really fun item in its dungeon, but outside of it, it lacks utility and just collects dust in the inventory. Bosses all look super intimidating, but they all follow the ridiculously obvious "Hit weakpoint with dungeon item > sword spam > repeat 3 times" and they don't deal any damage. The hidden skills look really fancy and dynamic, but the enemies aren't designed around these skills, which makes them feel pointless etc. It just feels really hollow. As if their main goal was to not make a good game, but instead to simply please the people who disliked WW for its aesthetic.
