@@mathunit1 the problem with video game movies is that there is a fine line between taking too much from the source material (stuff like the Mario brother and shit) and more commonly, the ones that take very little (assassin's Creed [which I still believe could work as a rennisance set tv drama], the tomb raider movies (except the new one which was alright) etc.)

Sadly Hollywood hates voice actors.

Because some, perhaps even most, directors are so pretentious. They direct and/or write video game movies, yet act as though the source material is beneath them. Same goes for comic book movies. Like Nolan pretending he had never read a comic book in his life even though his trilogy is lousy with plot elements, obscure characters, events, and even some lines/dialogue from the comics. But then again, who cares if he's a liar. He makes good movies. Edgar Wright is a very capable writer/director who doesn't take himself too seriously. He's very creative as well. I think he (or someone like him) can make a decent video game movie.

Well one...the directors need to play the game. And like the video said its going to take hours. And second....why would you make a movie based on something you already played. No one will get to see something you already know whats going to happen
