I am of the same opinion that conversion into all electric will not stop pollution. In future the abandoned battery pack of an electric vehicle after its useful life will lead to more pollution than now. Also if any one thinks that he can save money on fuel cost, the then govt will think opposite way. How to squeeze the common man by adding additional taxes and cess on electricity bill.

After buying my polo 1.5 tdi back in 2014, the service guy called me saying that there is an update which should be done immediately, so I took my polo to service centre and when they returned my polo I felt a lack of power all of a sudden!😑

I think CAFE 2/ BSVI Stage 2 is stopping manufacturers to stay away from diesels. VW even with petrol only portfolio is ranked below Tata on combined fleet's average CO2/km emission.
Guys .. what make you guys different is all in this video.. good comprehensive review about VW diesel cars, diesel gate scandal.. VW still offers V6 and V8 diesel in Touareg where I live.. V8 with 8 speed torque converter is gem guys.. Subaru dropped their diesel boxer unit from their lineup..good news is Hyundai is coming up with (near ready I believe) with 3 litre inline Six with 8 speed torque converter..I think you can get that in Genesis GV80 in some markets..😀. Good on you guys.. ..
Have to disagree with you vw diesels in india were never refined,in cabin refinement was good; thanks to good damping but on the outside they were nothing less than a tractor. Hyundai diesels are best in terms of refinement.

Defies the purpose of using electric cars if much of our electricity comes from burning coal. Though it is a different story altogether if our electricity is sourced from renewable resources like solar/wind/hydro. Looking forward to the electric cars video :)

Both of you missed an important piece of knowledge. In the evolution of Diesel engines by VW, PUMP DUSE or unit injector technology was a unique technology. PD engines used to operate at a much higher pressure which helped the engines to extract almost 40% thermal energy from the fuel. This would certainly increase the fuel efficiency and lower emissions. Wondering why did VW abandon PD engines?

Then sent an email to the Dealer and Maruti with the case details. On the very 4th day, Maruti sent a Brand New Gypsy for me, from Gurgaon. The very same Gypsy King Soft top model, once they said it is out of production, no stocks anywhere in India, so delivery is impossible. It was in production when I paid advance at the dealership 🤷♂️ .

I had a 1.2 tdi polo and during the time I went a fought with EVM dealer regarding the Mapping. They simply denied it. They told till now no one complained that their power and fuel efficiency dropped. This will only happen in India.
